Seriously. This isn't just about "skateboarding". It way more than that in a sence. The value of this show is skyrocketing with every new episode. It's a legacy, chunk of important history preserved for future generations. I love it
agreed, skateboarders are very passionate and incredibly human individuals. it’s the nature of the sport in how its just you, the board and the obstacle ahead...
How could anyone have ever hated on is dude, he is flat out funny as hell. Big props to BA for making skaters share the love. Actual tears of laughter at the roller blade story. Pissed myself laughing again at almost being drowned and tugged to the bottom by his cinder block D3’s cliff diving. Legend making ragdolling with the Muska, The mini Muska, fake Muska, so many Muska’s, all aboard the Chadillac Muskalade! Great quote dude ‘own up to your arsehole-ism’ would be a great T-shirt. Crobin Hood, stories for days. And big props for sharing about fighting his demons. I would never have thought he had anxiety, he seemed really confident, and cool to see him in a much better place. It sometimes seems the hardest thing in the world, but talking is a really easy thing to do, don’t judge a book by its cover and don’t be afraid to live. Good words to live by. Oprah got nothing on the Nine Club. Hugs from London and keep riding the wave bro.
Around 2005 black label came through my local skate park for a demo (915 skate park greensboro nc). I asked ragdoll to do my voicemail on my phone. For at least 2 years. "Youve reached jonathans phone. Ive kidnapped him so hes not going to be picking up this piece of shit for a long time, you digg?" so epic
When I saw the suicide hotline in the description, I knew it would be more than skateboarding and what better place to set the record straight than The Nine Club. Stay strong Ragdoll.
This episode belongs in the Podcast HOF, it’s easily in the nine club of Nine Clubs🏆 Time flies when you’re smiling for four special~special~special~special hours of sincerity, hilarity, and life lessons with Ragdoll, Crobbin Hood, Bagley, and éGGs. This is the type of content the world should be getting in 2020. 🙏♥️😁
This is my favorite Nine Club episode so far. Ragdoll seemed like a character, but in reality is a great dude. Loved watching him in his prime and loved listening to him talk here. Thanks Nine Club.
Proud of you for talking about this shit man. Takes a brave person to jump down stairs and a brave person to talk about this. you've definitely helped folks by being open about it
Dude seriously, this episode had me in tears. I had no idea about Ragdoll. Just sort of wasn’t on my skate radar as I’m an older dude. To listen what he went through hit home with me and really struck a nerve. Thank you.
When Ragdolls talking about his troubles and problems, I think that’s the most I’ve related to a skaters issue during the interview minus the bulimia. I’ve never been a big fan, but I was familiar with him before the episode and this episode gave me a new appreciation for the 9 club by providing a platform for him to show he’s just a normal person who has had his own issues and I appreciate him being brave enough to speak out on his issues he’s dealt.
You know what... When you are open and do speak about your issues it lets people empathize with you and able to put together the pieces why you might be a certain way. We're all fascinating people especially because of our faults and how we overcome them.
I'm so sorry, brother. I am 39. My dad died when I was 18. It hurts still. I won't tell you what to do, or how to feel. It's different for everyone. But I would say to not hesitate to speak about your feelings, and reach out when you need help. People will be there. I Promise.
"I'm not gonna stop filming, its my job!" such an iconic part of that video, I remember laughing with the homies so much at that little bit back in the day! Made me love firecrackers too!
What I knew about Ragdoll before this was fairly vague. After this episode he's now one of my favorite dudes. I know depression and I know hard times. Something I've learned is that the sun still gonna shine. So shine with that shit and live. Him saying dont be afraid to live resonates with me heavily. Respect✊ Wanna say much love to the nine club for having him on the show and thanks Ragdoll for telling your story man. This shit was the realest 🙌
It speaks volume about @Thenineclubshow 's character that you throw that information in the credits. I second the notion that this episode and the show in general, deserve an award... You keep gaining more and more of my respect every week.
I live in Minnesota. I've always thought the opposite about it being easier to cool down than warm up. If its cold- you dress in layers. if its hot- you cant take off your skin suit. +Sleeping in the heat is the worst
I'm from Michigan and I second this haha... I much prefer putting on layers than sweat. We have really cold winters and hot and really humid summers so I get a taste of both as the year goes on
This is my favorite episode yet. I deal with depression and it's awesome to hear Ragdoll speak so openly. Thank you guys for creating a platform that can support such open, genuine interviews. And those gifts he brought were fucking amazing, what a thoughtful dude
That’s cool they had the “Why So Sad” board in the back. Skateboarding is so cool how it connects people from every walk of life. I skated the Stanton park the other day with a dude from Costa Rica, a dude from Korea, a punk rock girl, and her boyfriend. We skated the park, took turns, shared laughs, and just had a great time. I can’t think of anything else that can connect people like skateboarding.
My first video was “Digital All Stars” and I loved his part. Then I saw the black out video a couple years later, bought some checkered slip ons, and learned fire crackers. Easily one of the most influential skateboarders for me.
I didn't know much about Ragdoll before this, but man, the dude is just genuine. His coolness and kindness just emanates through this video, and now he's one of my favorites. Amazing episode.
Best episode yet ragdoll is a strong ass person especially hearing he had these problems with mental health as we most do its inspiring this shit made me want to quit using xanax.
WOW! 4 hours never went by so fast.. fantastic episode. Rag Doll's message of dont be afraid to live needs to be heard, his positive outlook on life is infectious. Love his honesty and his love for the show. Its how we all feel. thank you!
Man, I really pray things work out for this dude with his health and his relationship with his son, people like this deserve the world. Great episode, the praise he was giving nine club at the end was totally spot on, this is really something special. Thanks
I’ve seen almost every episode. Some were of my favorite skaters and filmers growing up, and some that I don’t even know. Don’t really know Ragdoll but can say this is my favorite episode. Skateboarding brings us together. But it’s episodes like this that makes us feel like we’re not alone. Thanks.
So happy to see ragdoll on the nine the club, he was a huge inspiration to me when I was a young skater I learnt how to do backside wallrides because of ragdoll His part in the pig slaughterhouse video was one of my favourite parts and it blew me away when I first saw it Thank you ragdoll and the nine club
That melon into the road over the railing with the saints stranded tune is still my favourite moment in any skate video , great to see what his journey was about and equally as good for his positive message to people going through mental health issues 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
BEST EPISODE YET! I've been waiting for this. Ragdoll was my favourite skater as a kid, I had his pink & green Destructo trucks and watched Slaughterhouse on repeat. I love how thoughtful his gifts were and how many positive comments he had for the team. Awesome job Crob, Rog, & Kelly. This one's a classic.
I’ve been going through some things lately and this episode has truly given me a new perspective. Thank you Ragdoll, and thank you Nine Club. “DON’T BE AFRAID TO LIVE”.
God damn, been watching the show just about since day one, actually listened to the podcast version of this one on a long drive (6 + hours (I’m from Texas)) home yesterday, and this one just hit different. What a sweet, genuine guy. Big love for you Anthony, takes a lot of balls to lay it on the line like that, and i can definitely say you helped at least one person to take a look on the brighter side. Very inspiring; and a very, VERY good listen, especially if you’ve ever felt disenchanted or just bummed on life in general. Good shit boys, killed it with this one. Thank you for giving people the platform to speak on issues like mental health free of judgement. 👍
This might have been the most beautiful episode that the Nine Club has made so far. Absolutely amazing. Well done boys. Shouts to RagDoll for the realness.
Man, I know you get a lot of requests, but my number one OG pick has got to be Ed Templeton. Such a personal, gnarly dude who's been at it for so long.
I'm an 80's skater who was not paying attention by the time Ragdoll made the scene. Glad i watched. Seems like a guy with a lot of depth. I think he and Jordan Peterson would have an awesome sit down. Plus Peterson has a soft spot for skaters. Chapter 11 in his latest book is: do not bother children when they are skateboarding. I say that goes for adults too! Leave us alone when we're skating! Chris, Kelly, and Roger - you guys are doing an awesome job. Great interviewing style, great timing, great observance of the space in between. And the breadth of people on here is top notch. I mean Ragdoll to Professor Paul Schmidt? C'mon! Where else you going to find that?
This show has gotten so much better, watching these compared to the old episodes, they flow so much better more like an actual conversation now and that's really important for a podcast. Good job nine club
Hands down one of the best episodes yet! I did not even know much about this guy but like on a human level. What a great world skateboarding is. Keep it 9 club.
I'm going through some stuff and hearing you guys talking about opening up and hearing Anthony's trials and tribulations has really helped me mentally at the moment and I just wanted to say thank you guys, I really appreciate it
Thank you ragdoll. I never thought I would hear another man, let alone skateboarder, talk about these things. The struggle is real. The lives you and the nine club have saved by doing this are innumerable.
What a fantastic interview!¡ What a guy and a true inspiration on and off the board. A real honest account of all his experiences. Powerful, powerful stuff there. And so good of him to share such deep personal info. I´ve already promised myself i will watch it all again. And the last few minutes were just so heartwarming. Too good.
Damn, this was a really fuckin good episode. I didn’t really know much about Ragdoll going in to the show, but he’s such a rad dude! So hyped to be there, repping inclusivity in skating HARD, telling his story to help people. I had a smile on my face the whole time.
This was a big surprise. I've listened to every episode of the nine club and this was the most moving and most important. Absolutely beautiful. YOU ARE DOING SUCH A SERVICE TO SOCIETY. Thank you so much
Best episode in a while. I'll watch this one a few more times for sure. I don't necessarily know who every guest is before I click, because skating is just one of many hobbies I dabble with, but I still watch every week (both shows) and always enjoy hearing the stories. You guys are the man!
This was a fuckin awesome episode. I have a huge soft spot for everyone that skated for Black Label, but Ragdoll is one of the best the company ever had. Him on the Experience would be sick.
There's a milk company trying to get into the skate industry idk the name of it but they run an Instagram page where they sponser skaters and i feel like kelly is sponsered by them lol you didn't hear it from me tho
One of the best episodes ever! Much love to Ragdoll, especially for opening up about his whole journey - highs and lows. His creativity with the presents was amazing. Love it!
Literally one of the best episodes! I started this one a while back and got busy, but now with all this free time I started it up again today and couldn’t stop listening! Super inspiring. It was good to hear what Ragdoll had to say, and hats off for not only sharing but getting to the place to be able to do so. This show is amazing... 🙌🏼❤️
Goddamn. His story made me tear up. We all know hard times and let those negative thoughts creep on our head. Always loved Ragdoll since his label days, I thank him and you guys for letting us all hear his story. This is one to remember ❤️
I thought vinny passed from like a heroin overdose. Glad he didn't. Gonna break my heart for rag doll if he did and him and i didnt realize it though. On a happier note ragdoll won the gift game hands down
This guy doesn't look at all like he was born in 1980... He looks really good for his age... Everybody does actually!!! Skateboarding keeps the young at heart even younger!!!!
THANK YOU ALL FROM MY HEART.
YOU MADE SOMETHING I WASNT SURE I WAS GOING TO TALK ABOUT WORTH IT.
THANK YOU CHRIS,RODGE AND KELLY FOR MAKING ME FEEL COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO OPEN UP. I CHERISH EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT TUNED IN, COMMENTED, MESSAGED AND TOOK THE TIME TO DO SO.

"Don't be afraid to live" - damn right.
But also, don’t be afraid to NOT live
Said by every high school teen.
"DON'T BE AFRAID TO LIVE" Thank you Ragdoll. Thank you Nine club. This episode hit hard.
Weird cuz I was telling myself to stop waiting to live yesterday wich is a other way of saying afraid.

Being raised in Vegas, hearing Ragdoll talk about Wet N Wild and Lake Mojave makes me happy.

Damn, this was a really fuckin good episode. I didn’t really know much about Ragdoll going in to the show, but he’s such a rad dude! So hyped to be there, repping inclusivity in skating HARD, telling his story to help people. I had a smile on my face the whole time.
He's an Outstanding Street Skateboarder, I Just checked out his Skating on You Tube I never new this dude before this Nine Club episode ! 😉🤙

This was a big surprise. I've listened to every episode of the nine club and this was the most moving and most important. Absolutely beautiful. YOU ARE DOING SUCH A SERVICE TO SOCIETY. Thank you so much
Holy shit, thanks for being so open. I needed something like this today.
My favorite episode. EVER!
Thank you Nine Club!
BOING!
That glass of milk has to have gone bad after sitting there for 4 hours.
The shaky table makes me so anxious
Ive never actually seen him take a drink of it
There's a milk company trying to get into the skate industry idk the name of it but they run an Instagram page where they sponser skaters and i feel like kelly is sponsered by them lol you didn't hear it from me tho
One of the best episodes ever! Much love to Ragdoll, especially for opening up about his whole journey - highs and lows. His creativity with the presents was amazing. Love it!
That was a big laugh from Roger early on, this is a going to be a good episode.
I'm totally guilty of not knowing who Ragdoll is but now that dudes awesome. Great story, a real to hell and back story
Pig slaughterhouse was my first skate video. Ragdoll was one of my favorites forever after that
Literally one of the best episodes! I started this one a while back and got busy, but now with all this free time I started it up again today and couldn’t stop listening! Super inspiring. It was good to hear what Ragdoll had to say, and hats off for not only sharing but getting to the place to be able to do so. This show is amazing... 🙌🏼❤️
Holy shit just realized I’m an hour in now and I’m so hooked thanks 🙏 nine club for everything making the days better always 💕
On a happier note ragdoll won the gift game hands down
Came in not knowing what to expect, but in my opinion one of the best guests I’ve seen! Great job everyone!!
My first board was a Matt Ball, I'd love to see him on here
This is my favorite episode. Absolutely loved it
I’m so happy I get to heat Rag’s story I missed this dude I’m about to turn 30 and I grew up watching the Rag
Richard Smith same
He’s in his early 40’s dude broke his body glad too see him doing good
This guy doesn't look at all like he was born in 1980... He looks really good for his age... Everybody does actually!!! Skateboarding keeps the young at heart even younger!!!!
Darrell Stanton someday?
Top Tier Teal Tipped Spears damn forgot about that dude
He was on the bunt podcast two weeks ago
I comment on an IG post of his last year. He responded "someday".
