I got to know Funeral in 2014, two years after they released Oratorium. So Praesentialis in Aeternum is the first album they released after I got to know them. Almost ten years, but today the wait is over What a incredible album
I really like Sindre's melodic clean vocals that fits well with this doom metal album. Will hopefully listen to more of this while giving a listen to the earlier Funeral albums just to hear more.
So far, I think this is the best album they've released since From These Wounds. Love the melodic clean vocals and thick, crunchy riff tone. Reminds me a lot of Isole.
Season of Mist радует как всегда, что за релиз не попадётся -все годнота,а этот норвежский думняк вызывает во мне какой то меланхолический экстаз,не пение,а какой то магический гипноз.... просто пушка!!!
Skepticism, Clouds, Helllight, Lament Christ, Swallow the Sun, Majestic Downfall, Hooded Menace, Pantheist, Etc., and now Funeral. So many great doom releases this year. I’m definitely looking forward to 2022 with new albums from Shape Of Despair and Eye Of Solitude
Ordered the album from my local store, on the second listen... fuck me silly this is such an AWESOME fucking album. So different than the stuff I have heard in the last decade in the way they are combining such diverse elements of the metal genres and folkish music.
It's pretty good, but why on earth is this called Funeral Doom??? Because of the band's name? Skepticism, Tyranny, old Ahab, old Pantheist, Black Wreath... that's Funeral Doom. This sounds completely different.
@@AgainstTheeWickedlyMusic I know their first demo, From These Wounds and As the Light albums, and none of those I would remotely consider Funeral Doom.
@@Okkvltify fair enough, I heard an album from 2006 from these guys that sorta felt like it. I dunno, when I want funeral doom, I normally go for the really crushing stuff like Mournful Congregation, Frowning, Bell Witch, and Shape of Despair. The new Skepticism was pretty good though!
I agreed with you when I first started it, but I got used to the singing. The album goes in a more Viking-chant esque direction with the singing as it goes on, and it's really unique
The pinnacle of Doom metal. Still listening to this
Wow this is a nice late year surprise. Really cool sounding vocals, lots of depth and variety. Beautiful Norwegian doom 🇳🇴🤘🏻

What a incredible album
Reminds me of Borknagar's vocals. The band returned with throaty back vocals. This is way better ! IoI
Lars brother sings on it, does sound very much like him.

i'm still digesting this miracle of a music. So heavy, it is bending time itself.

I miss the old Funeral, this doesn't sound good to me anymore 😢

Great band, great album
Magical album.
Yay I'm so glad I can finally listen to this album 💓😍
Awesome album with deep music! Great symphonic doom metal causes delight and lofty feelings!
Hauntingly beautiful. 💕
🖤🖤🖤Funeral doing what they do best🖤🖤🖤
You guys done the impossible. This music is way better than "from theese wounds".
What a great style. Love this. Congratulation on achieving such a sound.
Great album: slow, melancholic, powerful, epic. 🤘🌲🤘
This band is amazing
Totally awesome and heavy epic doom metal in the vein of Isole and Hamferd.
Beautiful and progressive doom. Amazing album.
Amazing!🤟🤟🤟
Plz, don't stop doing great music!
masterpiece. One of the best albums of year
Naprostá bomba....dokonalost....luxusní album
Beautifull in extremis!!!
I loved the old singer, but i love the new even more.
Masters of their genre
Funerals best song is still "Yield to Me".
crushing and smothering in all the right ways
10/10
Cool record
holy fuck awesome!
This is special!
Although a good album, nothing will surpass Tragedies, their first opus!!
Poderiam relançar aqui no Brasil..... estilo único, perfeito !!!!!
29:02 Iiiiiiick!
Riffage here reminds me of Fates Warning's No Exit from '88- sick
Excelent Álbum imersive
legendas
So bad i'm ass-bleeding. (Thus 'From these Wounds' is still a gem in the genre.)
Finally 💀💀⚰⚰⚰
Good resounding within 🌀
By listening the first sentence I had to check possible relations to Borknagar´s Lars. Guess what?
Me too, the clean vocals sound so alike :)
Sindre Nedland, younger brother of Lars Nedland from Borknagar.
Masterpiece \,,/
Awesome
Woah did this band change from their first release that was beautifully depressing. Bands change but wow
This is good though
How do you spell that!? sorry, slowly please...
bello
cool
I just can't help hearing Rammstein in some vocal parts x)
Solid release, thanks!
Где русские?,ведь альбом достоин похвал!!!

Сейчас только добрался до прослушивания данного произведения. В целом альбом понравился!
'From these wounds' поинтересней был; данное творенье нудновато, местами поздних 'Septic Flesh' напоминает, местами 'Rammstein'.. ИсписАлись ребята?
Is this the new or the old funeral?
The timestamp for Oppvåkning is broken.
Funeral of ypres.
great rammstein "mutter" cover in Materie song
Not as good as in Erindring pt 2
It's pretty good, but why on earth is this called Funeral Doom??? Because of the band's name? Skepticism, Tyranny, old Ahab, old Pantheist, Black Wreath... that's Funeral Doom. This sounds completely different.
Funeral's old stuff helped pioneer the genre, but this is more just gothic/death doom, yeah
@@AgainstTheeWickedlyMusic I know their first demo, From These Wounds and As the Light albums, and none of those I would remotely consider Funeral Doom.

Фунерал закончились с смертью Ейнара и Кристиана. Все что было после уже не особо примечательно, как и новый альбом.
The singing kills it for me. If it's going to be doom, needs to be growling. The playing is otherwise really good, just can't do the singing.

Is not that kind of doom.... It is in the vein of Candlemass or Solitude Aeturnus, Isole. Epic Doom...
belíssimo!
