I feel like in that situation one little mishap can give you a lot of downvotes, because some people like waited and took in the whole performance but majority were voting during the performance. So without much, just hearing someone have a voice crack can easily be something that you just downvote, even if it was overall good. I think she didn't deserve a downvote, but I understood it.
Same with Dohwa, who just had a little issue with the quick change, but got downvoted because of it, even though it didn't really affect the performance, as she kept going without getting flustered.
Chaeyeon had about 6 hours to practice, Nana had 4 hours, could be the reason why the performances seemed to lack something like a focus on expressions
i kinda feel like mnet told them to not try their very best because they could “show improvement” over the course of the show to make it look like they’re learning a lot and stuff 😭

Bora’s stage brought me to tears. I’m not even a huge fan of ballads because I usually find them boring but she had my full attention. She was outstanding

I am glad that chaeyeon noticed her worth and left mnet for her knock's success as well. Because even if she was harshly judging, she had full right too. If you are not giving criticism, then how will you improve. And glad she left because mnet is evil editing her for no reason.

Definitely support her choice to prioritize her actual job - promote her single-, but just down voting everyone simply cancels her ability to actually evaluate.
I know people like to do these votes strategically; however, I wish everyone did them truthfully. The groups would be better and the votes COULD be used as genuine feedback on a performance. I know I'm naive in this respect,

She wasn’t giving criticism though. Just downvoting everyone because you want to be 1 is not criticism. You can’t do that and then be mad and breakdown when others down vote you because quite frankly her performance wasn’t as good as some others. Shes a good dancer but has weak live vocals

I mean Jihan obv won the pop buttle but because she IS THE CUTE CONCEPT, Rina slays more in other concept, though she did so good with pop too

i'm excited for the project group thats gonna come out of queendom puzzle, i know almost all of the groups and contestants here. it was fun seeing idols from groups i stan interact with each other.
the performances released so far have been good. the ones i like the most so far are chaeyeon, nana, jiwon, bora, suyun and riina. overall pretty interesting, i can't wait for yeeun and yuki's hehe
As an almost 12 year YG Stan, I've been supporting Jiwoo and the other 5 ex-YG Trainees of the "My Teenage Girl" show. And despite not making it to the the final episodes like her fellow ex-YG Trainee members, I'm glad she was the first one to finally debut in a group (even though I wish she stayed training and debuted in at least 4years when she's a bit older).

i really want bora to make it but also think that the group will be semi flop (kinda like kep1er's situation where they have good sales but fail to chart on domestic charts and their yt and spotify streams have been decreasing each comeback)

Tbh I completely forgot when this was to start airing so I only watched and voted today and am now actually kinda glad that the one vote per week means I didn't miss any votes. I really hope this show doesn't flop as it gives more chances to idols who have debuted but not had that successful of a career.

Cherry bullet has been a sleeper for me. I just recently fell in love with them but had no clue about their members. Seeing Bora in Ep 1 absolutely blew me away! Consider me a huge fan of this girl now, girl has so much talent that I need to see her succeed
I guess having an almost completely unknown/unpopular discography kinda helped Cherry Bullet in a way because, unlike with Chanmi, FNC decided to give the Cherry Bullet members Covers that highlighted their strength very well.
And as for my AOA bias, despite changing her name so she could be more know as a soloist instead of all way's being know as that AOA member, FNC still had Dohwa perform an AOA medley that was kinda lacking the effort and energy of an idol, with almost 10 years of experience, trying to reinvent themselves. It looked obvious that FNC kinda gave up on Chanmi.
Please do not stop making these videos again!! I've watched your ur videos since Queendom 2 and I love for hem!

this might be a hot take but I don't like that Chaeyeon was downvoting (almost?) everyone. I understand that it was because she was confident she could outperform/etc. but from an outside perspective it seems more like arrogance than confidence. I might be reading too much into it lol but imo that wasn't the smart move everyone makes it out to be

Haein also left the competition before the airing started. I assume that's heavily why they literally didn't show anything except her entrance. Because she didn't perform, isn't participating anymore and unlike Chaeyeon wasn't playing such a big part in the episode narrative.
Chaeyeon was definitely super fun and entertaining this episode, she wasn't arrogant but just really confident with like bit of cuntiness sprinkled on top. My favorite was the shot where she is just smirking while downvoting somebody. She gave so much to this episode.
EDIT: Also regarding the tiers, they were based on highest album sales and music show wins if I understood correctly, so yeah there are definitely some groups that are bit better known but haven't had commercial success so they are pretty low, while even having a one hit can really shoot you up in those tiers, like JooE from Momoland.

Pretty sure the performances are not lipsynced. They are singing live, with a backtract, Mnet probably just edited and smoothed the vocals
the good performances are crazy good. episode two was crazy with bad and amazing performances. hwiseo killed it she didnt deserve them downvotes. kei deserved mroe too such a beautiful performance.
I didnt really care for Suyuns performance either. I know Taemins version was pretty high too but i feel she went higher. She also didnt seem (to me atleast)comfortable performing the song.
The problem i had with the up/down ranking is you had to be perfect to get a high score or had to go earlier. Just like with Boys Planet's intro stages, i feel like the performers that went later got harsher critiques. Tbh i would have pulled a Chaeyeon too and just down voted (or up voted) everyone, just to not think about it lol
I really hate how they tried to make a rivalry between Cherry Bullet with Rocket punch, and weeekly with Hi-Key. I know theres a bit of rivalry between the them all but i dont think it's that serious lol
With that being said, im excited to see all the girls perform and hopefully find a new group/artist to stan... i know i have my eye on FYE.

Is it just me or did i not like the choreo for Bora's performance?
Like not dissing her vocals cuz she slayed HARD (literally blown away and she left no crumbs) but the whole choreo with bora getting lifted and her lil ballet dance looked like a drama skit for a school recital.
Once again, not dissing bora's talent whatsoever but i just find the theme and choreo mixed with the song didnt really fit for me.
I'm curious if the show required SOME kind of dance. My Sea is not really a dance song, so I understand why she went the contemporary/ballet route; however, the dance element was definitely the weakest part of her performance.

Not forgetting Queendom 1 during the unit round, the performer team was discussing about their unit group name, YooA telling the other girls if her group name not OMG, it's gonna Puzzle. Then after some thought, the unit leader Moonbyul announced '6 Puzzle' as their unit group name. Why '6'? Because there are 6 groups competing and only one member get selected from each group to form the unit. I think mnet should show that clips in Queendom Puzzle and praise YooA & Moonbyul, who's the winner and 1st runner up in Queendom...

saying JIHAN won because her performance is cute concept? yes but NOT COMPLETLY. SHE DIDN'T PERFORMED THE WHOLE PERFORMANCE ONLY CUTE..you can see in intro..LOOK AT HER FACIAL EXPRESSION,DANCE AND STAGE PRESENCE of course also HER VOCAL. The main reason she get praise is her abality to perform like a real performer and her stage presence. She showed it. She is natural cute but obv you can see she is also capable of other concept too.
ps the other girl also did great in her own way. when the one girl said the vibe is completly different means both girl did in their own ways and have their own charm. Don't follow the mnet evil edits just enjoy.. All the girls came here to do their best.

Riina's vocals were bad, thats why she got low votes. It wasnt just one voice crack but maybe you couldnt hear it over the backtrack. (Just FYI I don't hate her but as someone who doesnt know who she is, her singing wasnt good.)
And I loved Suyun's performance...yeah her vocals were kinda pitchy but everything was on point.
I also loved Bora's, Jiwon's, Jihan's and the Cosmic Girl's performance (I'm not sure how to spell her name...sorry). Oh and Chaeyeon's but shes not in the show anymore so it doesnt matter.
The only performance that I didnt like that much that everyone liked was Zoa's. It didnt seem like she really sang live that much and yet they only criticized the other girl for not singing live. Idk i don't get why people liked that one so much.
Anyway if Jiwon and Bora don't debut this time, I'm done.
