chayeon said she only had six hours to prepare for toc perf because she originally intended to do overdose-exo but the song copyright issues had her change the song last moment. that is like unbelievable because if i had to change my song six hours before the stage i would been having a mind wreckage and bawling my eyes out
That's astonishing 😮 you'd think they let her know earlier. I would have preferred to see her perform Knock though, she's been promoting not too long ago so she would've still been familiar with it.
But she hit it, her voice just cracked? It happens even with really good vocalists like Haewon from nmixx, real queen of voice cracks, it doesn't mean that she is bad or she hot this note terribly
i feel like the whole tier thing by who was the most nugu was just nasty for nastiness sake. bc it didn't end up even counting for anything, also none of them are doing very well in their career obv, or they wouldn't be there. and trying to convince me there's a meaningful difference between rocket punch tier nugu and woo!ah! tier nugu... sure
This was nugu’s, the mistreated by company girls, and the girls who are too old (25) to be an idol or all three at the same time in one competition. Chaeyeon literally left as soon as she found some success 😭
Suyun's performance was the best and the ones who get it are the ones who get it. Bora of course slayed and it is no surprise to me especially as her biased fan...however...that may be exactly why she comes in second to Suyun for me out of all the performances in Ep. 1. She didn't do anything that as a fan that I didn't know she is capable of. In fact, she performed My Sea at the GP999 fanmeet which was broadcasted and she hit the same high note flawlessly. Yes she was dancing here as well, but it all just came off very professional broadway musical-like and less like a Kpop performance. It was still flawless, impressive, and totally representative of her as a singer/artist...but it was just very predictable. I was more impressed by her performance in SNAP, actually since we have rarely seen that concept from her and her voice sounds awesome on the song. So for this, I'm going with Suyun as my first pick since I thought she did the best all around and picked a very risky and different song that in my opinion totally showed off her incredible range. It sadly didn't end up paying off in the end due to the other girls feeling some type of way, but I'm hoping she goes far with this and gains more fans and voters because I know there are other people who also feel she did the best. I thought Wooyeon's performance was like most Kpop performances because singers will commonly tend to avoid high notes live due to nerves, sickness or choreography difficulty. This has only increased with 3rd and 4th gen. It's also been a common industry practice for live performances everywhere for decades, so with that I say....SLAY Wooyeon.
I also liked it and I think she was the only one that got less points than she deserved. But I do agree with the screesh queen comment. She should have taken it down a bit...
Personally i like riina’s performance. Overall it is still a good performance. So sad that majority choose to downvote her. I thought she can get at least a more balanced score. It also surprised me how a song can have different vibes depending on who performs it. Riina’s pop ver is bright with sensual touch while jihan’s is pure fun and lovely.. AND YES TO THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT DONE BY QUEEN BORA. She has to debut and slap fnc’s real hard because they waste so much potential on chebul!!
i am honestly so surprised with everyone being so negative about riina's performance, like - crying over a voice crack? the voice crack doesn't really prove anything. of course, it would've been better without it but it's not like she can't sing??
i would've ran off stage crying and left the show, the fact that dohwa kept performing is already commandable (and she gave a good performance at that)
I personally don’t think she’s a very strong vocalist. She’s good at sustained belting due to her vocal stamina but she has some throatiness and nasality issues that can become apparent from rather early on in her range. She suits kpop just fine, unless she can get a better vocal trainer to help her hone her skills.
i thInk its so funny they are side eyeing everyone who cracks even a bit or lipsyncs as if it doesnt happen to them as well?? like every performance currently has either a heavy backtrack or is completely lipsynced
You have to remember mnet likes to evil edit any chance they can, so them 'side eyeing' might not even be them reacting to the other contestant performance but might be from something else
Meanwhile Yeonhee being fiercely offended about Suyun's results (I just thought to mention because it was honestly so cute and sweet of her) (gentle reminder that their results really don't reflect the idols' entire skill and being - it's a peer-evaluation based purely on the opinion of the rest of the contestants, who really shouldn't be atracked based on whether or not they have the confidence to vote someone up or down because this is competition) (in short, don't hate)
I personally didn’t mind they tier ranking at the beginning. They were ranking them purely based on stats to show their popularity and then the rankings from these performances will determine their “talent” (not to say you should base talent off of one performance or that anyone participating is untalented, just it’s how the show seems to be judging it). As an audience we’ll be able to see their popularity vs “talent” which will definitely add to the drama of the show. It shows popularity doesn’t always mean the most talented and talent doesn’t always guarantee popularity. That might be my spicy take of the show, but idk. As for performances, Jiwon slayed, Bora slayed, Choi Jiho slayed.
from what I see online the problem isn't with tiers themselves, it's with the fact that they used a korean slang word closely associated with online bullying of idols in an official setting for the first time ever? I don't know korean so I can't say definitively either way, but I think it's worth researching a bit
I very much prefered this initial ranking method compared to some ranking based on auditions you never get to see. As in P48 or GP999. Since it has not meaning in terms of talent I thought it was a fun way to create some drama.
I also heard chaeyeon wasn't going to do toc toc toc, but she had to change her perf and learn the new one with short time. Thats probably whys she was frustated that it could've been better, but she slayed and left.
she was maaaaad that mnet fcked up yet again so she didn't hold back anymore 😂 i bet she wanted to leave right when they told her that she needed to change her song
Literally every K-survival show is based on ranking people, so idk why people are surprised by it. The way that they casually talk on variety shows/interviews knowing the exact number rank they were in school shows that it's pretty ingrained in their culture, too.
the first episode was cherry bullet world domination fr. gotta go had to do with so many props and i love it. and the slayer my sea made me forget to breath, i knew it's gonna be great since it's my sea, it's a very hard song to sing and i was sure bora will eat that. actually i was a little worry cause there was no dance, i was't sure how the participants would think and gave the vote, and then bora did that higher note in the first highnote, i☠️ //btw, i say this a lot and i'm going say this for several months. jihan's pop was the best mixed song in that night, the intro was chef kiss.
Omg you are back! btw why FNC trainees are so talented??? like Kamden and Choi JiHo and now Jiwon and Bora omg it hurts! They deserve more recognition I'm voting for them
I guess having an almost completely unknown/unpopular discography kinda helped Cherry Bullet in a way because, unlike with Chanmin, FNC decided to give the Cherry Bullet members Covers that highlighted their strength very well. While, despite changing her name so she could be more know as a soloist instead of all way's being know as that AOA member, FNC still had Dohwa perform an AOA medley that was kinda lacking the effort and energy of an idol, with almost 10 years of experience, trying to reinvent themselves. It looked obvious that FNC kinda gave up on Chanmin.
Bora and Jiwon slayed. Jihan was tooooo cute. I am rooting for her. Yeeun what a charismatic queen. She did so well. Btw Juri is so funnyyyyyy! We want more scenes with her. You will love her. I watched everything and I need more. I love survivals
Chaeyeon left the show and said things that idols can't or won't say on these types of shows knowing damn well what the consequences are...this could mean only one thing: Mnet pd for this show asked her to act or say certain things so she can be evil edited for the drama and spice in show plus she's a well reowned artist and senior for lots of girl in there. Mnet has more chances to twist the narrative. Or her company asked of her to act or tall like this so she can get some recognition as the numbers aren't going well for her and potentially can harm her if she doesn't do something to stand out ( which is this industry is hella saturated and she's talented af) She left the show probably bc of the pressure from the show. Lots of bs goes on behind the scenes let's not give into it and support every girl present in the show. I'm pretty sure there will be a dope group in the end no matter who makes it.
@@dxohwf since it's a girls show I'm pretty sure the pds and directors will wholeheartedly try to mess up their careers with their own stupid requests and them idols being desperate for fame for their own group will always fall for it bc there's pressure from both sides. Consequences are crazy amount of hatred from strangers on the internet who don't know you or your situation. No wonder mental health of these idols get crumpled ruthlessly by almost everyone surrounding them...☹️💔
@@hanblue1225 maybe she knew that mnet wasn't doing her any favors and was just using her, they needed her more than she needed them. she looked soooo done with them
@@dxohwf yeah but I just brought in a new perspective bc i discovered something new about the industry and it made think about these types of things differently. Idols can be desperate for success because almost 60% of their success is company's success and they take back home way less than they should. It's a harsh reality we stans will barely know or acknowledge. We are busy fighting and comparing numbers on social media for our faves without knowing what's exactly going on behind the scenes. I barely know shit despite being a kpop stan for 14 yrs of my life. I'm 23 now and ugh...very sick industry. Let's be careful with our criticism and not yake freedom of speech and opinion to bully for no reason. Twitter and TikTok are just one hell that goes crazy with such freedom.
SUYUN WAS THE BEST IN QUEENDOM PUZZLE AND I’M GOING TO STAND BY THAT….btw if you don’t trust me check out the Bad blood fancam, she slayed the house down
i think the idea (as presented in queendom1&2 and kingdom) is downvoting if you think you could have put on a better performance/your performance is better, so since she is younger than most, they felt more comfortable downvoting her despite jiwoo not making any mistakes
SCREECHING QUEEN I CAN'T BREATHE😭😭😭 i didn't really like her performance bc of the pitch (i felt like hearing aespa winter's highnotes for two minutes straight), however i trust she can showcase her skills better in the future. and the edit for yeoreum's performance 💀 i think the score for her was a bit too much, i felt the exact same way as nana's performance. both felt really like just a cover with a few more steps, just slightly disappointing and forgettable considering other performances. i didn't watch bp999 (because gp999 left me with no trust in humanity) but i like this guy's cover of mmmh much better lol
Didn't expect a Choi Jiho cameo lmao. Looking forward to when he debuts with Kamden under FNC :) So far the show is fun. The usual Mnet dramatics with the editing, but nothing completely ridiculous yet (yet). The Cherry Bullet girlies slayed this week and I'm ready for next weeks rap-off (Yuki - Sangah - Yeeun). They had better give my girl Yeeun some screentime or I might actually stop watching Mnet competition shows! I would not be able to deal with Yeeun getting sidelined on Queendom Puzzle and Jay not debuting in Boys Planet in the same year.
The repeated Queencard hook is good at first but eventually becomes a bit annoying if you play it on each batch of contestants being introduced . Good thing Shuhua pronounced it correctly.
I have to say I think the same about Wooyeon's performance, but pretty much the same can be said about Zoa (she barely sang live and Rum Pum Pum Pum's choreo isn't the hardest), and everyone seemed to love her performance and just dislike Wooyeon :/ don't really get it
I think it’s because Zoa has a bit better stage presence/facial expressions than Wooyeon did, and while she didn’t necessarily choose a very challenging song, she chose one that showcased her charms. On the other side, I do think Wooyeon is a better vocalist than Zoa, but since she didn’t get to showcase it in this performance she ended up scoring worse.
@@pikachuu8060 Well, that's a very good explanation tho it's more like Zoa knew her strengths and used them while Wooyeon perhaps chose the wrong song. Thanks!
INVU is a song known for it's hard vocals, if someone starts performing that song the audience will expect to hear them go off with their vocals, meanwhile Rum Pum Pum Pum is more about performance so the audience wasn't thinking about vocals as much
i love wooyeon so much because she performs like how most kpop idol perform rn ,like maybe shes not putting some beyonce like bora did ,but atleast shes being real to herself and not forcing herself to a voicecrack, we love a self awareness queen
I still think Chaeyeon’s performance was the best, she absolutely looked like a pro out there. But if she only wants to do the show if she can make the group, it’s only logical that she would quit as soon as she saw Mnet casting her as the villain. Mnet is ruthless with their villain edits, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody recover and make the group after they’ve received a full dose.
I love the reactions of very contestant but I feel like they overreacted to the voice crack. I'm assuming that as artists they have had voice crack b4 too so idk
I’m so so sorry I love bora and was voting for her in gp999 But this performance was so cringe af idk why…. the scene she gets the tiara is so awkward and her dance break is very strange and cringe for me I don’t get why people say she slayed….. her singing is goddes like though but performance overall I just don’t like it at all……
@@schorlechua5818 yeah if it weren’t for that I’m sure it would be at least 9-10 but it’s also she didn’t rlly add anything new to the performance like all the other girls did
@@SweetforS i agree, i love tripleS but she didn't rlly show off stage presence at this moment in time. I'm sure it's because she's in a group and still learning the ropes, but she needs to step it tf up.
@@tiredmarley2.0I think maybe it would’ve been good to add in a bit of the actual performance instead just so people don’t get confused and think she’s cancelled or smth-
idk chaeyeon saying that and downvoting that girl made me think "who does she think she is now?" like she's some top-3 performers in the world giving that mediocre ass performance
Well, i dont know her profundly, but i know that mnet doesn't give the truth, but the most interesting history And actually, chaeyeon herself said that her performance wasnt good, and she has to downvote people for sure - bc its a competition
she said she didn't like her performance here, but i still think she's iconic af for understanding how reality works! she was prob set as the show's villain, and she owned it! and imo she has the right to be that "arrogant" bc she's a reality show veteran after all
@@wooyoungsupremacy2157 context matters, bro. very easy to hate someone if u know nothing about them! but also plenty people are hating on chaeyeon rn anyway 😂
I loved the fact you put in a skit of that guy showing the negative affects of drugs and how it could turn into an epileptic seizure, which that person captured perfectly. The incoherent movements, the glazed eyes, the inability to make even one real dance move, was truly powerful for all the young people out there to see. I hope the kids out there remember this truly disturbing dance performance, so they can avoid drugs and never dance like that ever again. Surprisingly, it did look remarkably like boy group choreo though. Go figure. Sadly, the fact you liked the horribly unsynchronized male dancers before the epileptic dude, also shows that you need very strong glasses to help you out when it comes to making objective dance comments. Male dancers in general look embarrasingly silly when dancing with any competent or simply alive, female dancer. They can't dance. They stomp, pose and then shift position, then repeat. That's it. That's every boy group choreo for the last 20 years. Go watch. I dare you. When they have to do something even a little complex, they can't handle it, which is why ALL boy group choreo is what toddlers learn first, then, after 2.5 minutes of learning those moves, they move on to the hard stuff, girl group choreo. Where they constantly push the boundaries of intensity, creativity and power, while boy groups don't have to do diddly squat, because as we know, the girls who like them, wouldn't notice anyway, as the last 15 years of boy group comical dance nonsense has clearly proven. As for the Bora love, well, she can sing, I'm not disputing that, but she's not really a complete idol. She could be a solo singer, who doesn't have to do anything but stand and sing for a whole show, but this is KPOP and this show is about creating a girl group. Meaning, she will have to dance and she's a below average dancer and her visual is below average, she needs a better stylist and she has minimal stage presence and no, her voice is not enough. She does not fit the KPOP girl group standards, but don't worry, she might still make it. After all, crazy people voted Bayhi in as well, trying to impress her brother(like he cared anyway), proving that boy group loving girls should not be allowed to vote for anything of substance. Stick to the boy group sillyness, please!!!. It's just not fair to those who are not tone deaf and blind when it comes to evaluating talent. In case you didn't know, this group will not have any males in it. That's why it will be good. There's more than enough talented contestants who can sing, dance, have stage presence and are a visual. As we all know, Korea is very hard on anyone who does not fit their standards and it's really cruel to put a girl in a position to get hate over this, especially when there are many candidates for the lead vocal role who do fit the standards and will get love instead of hate. Don't hate the player, hate the game. As for the LIVE singing speech, well, liking boy groups kind of explains most of it, but still, you must know that no vocal coach alive would suggest that anyone who is dancing HARD for 3-4 minutes while singing is going to produce the best results. It's not possible. Nor does it make any sense to try, when they still have to record the song before hand, so that's what you hear on a radio or in a music video, so let's not whine over more nonsense, K? Especially when boy groups exist at all. Once that problem is fixed, live singing with intense dancing, will never work anyway, but at least boy groups would be gone, so let's work together to make the world a better place??? Thank you for your cooperation. Anyway, those who think that someone could or would sound the same singing live while dancing to harder and more intense choreography every year, have a lot to learn about singing. There's a reason that the ending fairy's are always gasping for air and it ain't the singing, it's the choreo that does it. I don't understand people who think someone can sing properly while out of breath? Wake up people. Bora could, because she expels zero energy dancing. As could the rest if they barely moved the entire performance. KPOP however, is becoming more and more about being an all rounder and that's just reality. If you are limited to one thing, even being a good singer, it's not enough. Nor should it be. There's way too many good vocalists out there to let a one dimensional contestant make it. It's not fair to those who put in the time and effort to improve at everything, not just the one thing they're already good at. Now, as is the case for most reality shows, the network will likely have the final say in who makes it, especially since they don't have to give Koreans extra voting this time to remove all the non Koreans from the group(Kep1er), hopefully, that means they won't give the crazy viewers near as much power this time. If so, I'm 60% confident that they will put together a group that will do better than Kep1er(Not that the girls are to blame for rather bland songs to work with, although the last song Giddy was an improvement. Wa da da did well solely because of the show, but after that, they needed better songs). This group will also need good songs, but talent wise, I think they have more than enough to work with to put together an all around group that can pull it off. I do hope everyone enjoys the comedy show you also make videos of. I hear Boys Planet is a laugh riot. That's where you go when you just want to relax and don't care about talent, looks, charisma, ability or in most cases, testosterone. It's kinda like watching a girls group, only without the talent or the beauty, but that's why it's labeled a comedy. It really does make people laugh and laughing is good for everyone. We can all agree about that, right?
donno about the rest of your comment but bora does fit girl groups like a glove. she does so well in cherry bullet and always has. i do get she wants to show off her singing her company has gotta let her release a solo or perform in shows like immortal songs. and yeah honestly boys planet was a joke when it came to talent. almost everything live had voice cracks, high notes that were also screeches and outta their range or half lip-synched when the actual good singers weren’t there. seen these type of takes from boy group stans so much clearly it’s a bias. them background male dancers rarely were dancing as good as the girls if we’re being honest too. seems like a joke.

Yeoreum performed "MMH", as seen in the video, Choi Jiho (boy in the video) also performed "MMH" during boys planet
Omg you are back! btw why FNC trainees are so talented??? like Kamden and Choi JiHo and now Jiwon and Bora omg it hurts! They deserve more recognition I'm voting for them
cho ahyoung (produce 48) was also such an amazing rapper ! her tone was PERFECT.
too bad FNC dropped her because of their obsession with weight.

YOU DECIDED TO SPEAK THE TRUTH!!!!!! HAHAH I love Jiho and Kamden and also de Cherry Bullet girls are so talented!!!
oh god i hated how they made chaeyeon and riina look bad >_> i don't mind some drama but it can be too much
I honestly loved Nanas performance i think she really did well with Taemins elegant sexy vibes ^^
Riina was the whole package but I got the feeling that she might be evil edited
Bora and Jiwon slayed.
Jihan was tooooo cute. I am rooting for her.
Yeeun what a charismatic queen. She did so well.

14:58 RIINAS EYEROLL SENT ME 💀
Chaeyeon left the show and said things that idols can't or won't say on these types of shows knowing damn well what the consequences are...this could mean only one thing:
Mnet pd for this show asked her to act or say certain things so she can be evil edited for the drama and spice in show plus she's a well reowned artist and senior for lots of girl in there. Mnet has more chances to twist the narrative. Or her company asked of her to act or tall like this so she can get some recognition as the numbers aren't going well for her and potentially can harm her if she doesn't do something to stand out ( which is this industry is hella saturated and she's talented af)
She left the show probably bc of the pressure from the show. Lots of bs goes on behind the scenes let's not give into it and support every girl present in the show. I'm pretty sure there will be a dope group in the end no matter who makes it.
lmfao yeah this was crafted to be chaeyeon's "revenge era" since she was always getting pity edited in her past reallity shows 😂
@@dxohwf since it's a girls show I'm pretty sure the pds and directors will wholeheartedly try to mess up their careers with their own stupid requests and them idols being desperate for fame for their own group will always fall for it bc there's pressure from both sides.

SUYUN WAS THE BEST IN QUEENDOM PUZZLE AND I’M GOING TO STAND BY THAT….btw if you don’t trust me check out the Bad blood fancam, she slayed the house down
Jiwoo’s performance was good, at least from my point of view, so I don’t understand why she had so many down votes 💀
i think the idea (as presented in queendom1&2 and kingdom) is downvoting if you think you could have put on a better performance/your performance is better, so since she is younger than most, they felt more comfortable downvoting her despite jiwoo not making any mistakes
SCREECHING QUEEN I CAN'T BREATHE😭😭😭 i didn't really like her performance bc of the pitch (i felt like hearing aespa winter's highnotes for two minutes straight), however i trust she can showcase her skills better in the future.
and the edit for yeoreum's performance 💀 i think the score for her was a bit too much, i felt the exact same way as nana's performance. both felt really like just a cover with a few more steps, just slightly disappointing and forgettable considering other performances. i didn't watch bp999 (because gp999 left me with no trust in humanity) but i like this guy's cover of mmmh much better lol
yeoreum is my girl y'all.
Didn't expect a Choi Jiho cameo lmao. Looking forward to when he debuts with Kamden under FNC :)
So far the show is fun.
Why skip yeoreums performance 😔

Some of the idols seem to be nitpicking at the tiniest of things tho
@@pikachuu8060 Well, that's a very good explanation tho it's more like Zoa knew her strengths and used them while Wooyeon perhaps chose the wrong song. Thanks!
@@oncextokki That's true too, maybe it's the survival show spirit
