So , can I buy the Asus 16X with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 16 GB Ram and only Integrated graphics and still be playing most of these games with no lag or frame drops ??
Im running an ASUS Vivobook 16 with the AMD Ryzen 7 5800h and integrated Radeon graphics on 16g RAM. I picked up the laptop for $435 brand new from best buy a couple months ago ive never seen them that cheap and haven't seen them as cheap since. The max refresh rate is only 60hz but it's still very crisp and clean. Im getting 78Fps on average in GTAV with all settings on high or ultra except for the long distance shadow setting. Of course this is running AMD boost at 4.4Ghz and on power. It can run like that for about 2hrs on battery alone. I'm happy with it.
Im about to run to bestbuy to pick one up, it's only $419 right now, I just need it to handle light gaming and this particular Ryzen looks like it can do it well.

The windows has a more stable frame rate but is 20% less than the deck O.S. the gap is between the time spy benchmark and the actual frame rate of the more played games , the spy benchmark should be higher of 25 % .

The reason the game's so demanding is because of the way it loads content in the background and due to it being a severely unoptimized (thus far) engine.

If a game isn't properly optimized it won't matter how fast your system is - you're going to hit a point of residual return. GTAIV, and GTAV are prime examples of this effect. In fact, going too fast in GTAV makes the gameplay WORSE than if you played at lower FPS due to the engine's limitations, so a higher end machine would hinder your gameplay more than it would help.

I have Legion 5 pro with Ryzen 7 5800H & RTX 3060. It's an absolute beast. You can choose to either run Ryzen GPU alongside Nvidia's OR you can run everything on 3060 for best results. I'm not sure but I don't think you can specify each GPU to each Display. Nvidia's GPU takes over whenever the load is higher. It runs every game I've thrown at it and even the newest AAA titles run at minimum of 60 fps at highest settings on 2500x1600 res. I hope, it was helpful !

Not that surprising considering that came out a decade ago and already wasn't all that powerful out the gate. A gaming laptop/desktop with on of these is roughly the same price or more than what a ps4 was on release date.
This looks better than my 1050Ti I used to have in my desktop lol. So even if you just have a business laptop you can play games with decent graphics rofl.
zen 3 is really efficient man, if u need extra battery life limit the fps with vsync and turn the settings down, amd are awesome future gens will be even better :D
If you will use old msi-ab for new games, then you will have to ask it like a noob............ so better always update your software....... use 4.6.4 msi and latest riva tuner.

@@Viewer19 It is not harder, just the modules need to be at least 16GB for single module (32gb for Dual channel kit). The problem is that many of the new models, even the 16GB modules are single rank because it is cheaper to manufacture.
Definitely the 5800H, I don't know much about tech but the 5000H series are all running Zen 3 while the 5700U is still Zen 2. Plus H series processors are in a different class, usually for gaming laptops while U series are for thin and light
U series have a TDP of barely 15W. They are made for battery life. That's why they have such low frequencies. Also, the iGPU... if it isn't Vega, then it is not an iGPU made for gaming, but you may still try in low specs. Still the CPU will be a bottle neck.
While the cpu is leagues better than my i7 4710HQ the radeon igpu is worse than my 8 years old gtx 860m and I really did not expect that. I wouldnget very similar performance to what I already get in valorant
Valorant is CPU bound and therefore not affected as much by GPU, also its mainly single thread bound so having more cores (main attraction of Ryzen 7) is useless. compare ur processor in productivity and then tell me.

@@Viewer19 It is not harder, just the modules need to be at least 16GB for single module (32gb for Dual channel kit). The problem is that many of the new models, even the 16GB modules are single rank because it is cheaper to manufacture.

@@Viewer19 You can get it from anywhere where RAM selling. All the 64GB kits are dual rank and most of the 32gb kits still are dual rank.
Gaming on ryzen 7 5800h igpu better or ryzen 7 5700u?
Definitely the 5800H, I don't know much about tech but the 5000H series are all running Zen 3 while the 5700U is still Zen 2. Plus H series processors are in a different class, usually for gaming laptops while U series are for thin and light
U series have a TDP of barely 15W. They are made for battery life. That's why they have such low frequencies. Also, the iGPU... if it isn't Vega, then it is not an iGPU made for gaming, but you may still try in low specs. Still the CPU will be a bottle neck.
While the cpu is leagues better than my i7 4710HQ the radeon igpu is worse than my 8 years old gtx 860m and I really did not expect that. I wouldnget very similar performance to what I already get in valorant
Valorant is CPU bound and therefore not affected as much by GPU, also its mainly single thread bound so having more cores (main attraction of Ryzen 7) is useless. compare ur processor in productivity and then tell me.
