Just fyi - Fallout 4 will run at 1440p high without issue too. Sticks to around 48 fps (also possibly related to a bug in the next gen update) with occasional dips into the high 30's but for FO4, totally enjoyably playable.
Great show as usual. A question. I bought 1 of these & am wondering, are you running the games from the internal SSD? if not I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know what. Cheers.
Hey there, thanks. If had one as a main, I'd probably stick in a 2tb nvme and install all games internally. For the game testing, I use a 2tb Buffalo usb NVME drive, steam games are installed to it, and this can be used easily on other systems without downloading those crazy large files over and over.

Tbh I'm pretty certain many of them will play fine (and maybe even better) in quiet mode. It's actually one big reason to prefer balanced mode rather than "performance". We demonstrated a better FPS in a benchmark a few weeks ago by doing this, but it probably won't be for the majority of titles. What game are you thinking about exactly?
No specific one. Just was curious to see if the difference between quiet mode and balance mode is significant or not. Because I prefer having less noise and less heat with these mini PCs tbh.
@@TeamPandory I generally run these at 75 watt (Universal x86 Tuning Utility) and run the GPU at 2700Mhz for 680m and 3000 or 3100 for the 780m. The Minisforum 780XTX is really very quiet if you don't have it sitting right in front of you, even when running out of specs. Been doing this for several months now with no issues. I've seen an interesting bell curve in performance with wattage settings - I went with 75 but 70 is likely fine - never gets above 70c. It gets about 10% more performance than the 65 watt default "performance" setting and that gets about 10% more performance than 35 watts. After 75 watts, temps start climbing quickly and there really isn't any more performance...maybe an FPS or two...
