This was so relaxing and inspiring! I really love your sparkles and the way you draw plants. And WOW. 750 to 25k followers in a year, congratulations, that's incredible!
I really loved this video. It’s really motivating. I’ll try do this. I know I won’t be able to every single day because I feel pain a lot. Sometimes I barely can’t move. But I’ll try with all my strength! Love your progress!
Try it once in a while, i stopped drawing when i was trying to stop self harming for 2 years, now i cant draw anymore, i have just started again with small diy bookmarks...dont give up ..okay?
Oh Mimi, this was a super nice video to watch! How lovely to see your progress over the year, i have to say it is absolutely amazing, wow! Love how your colour palette developed and your characters are super sweet! Thank your for sharing this, it truly inspires me to create without a fear of not being perfect!!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Tereza! Letting go of expectations of perfection has probably been the best thing I've done for myself creatively, it really gives so much freedom! ❤
I have been binge watching all of your videos! They are incredibly helpful. I’m am just beginning my illustration journey. I feel like you have helped me get a head start. Thank you for all the information and inspiration!
Thank you so much for your video. Seeing you showing your drawing journey and how you progress step by step, make me be less afraid of drawing. Your journey is beautiful, fighting for your next year.
I'm a few months late to the party, but wow!!! Your artwork illustrates such a simple yet nostalgic and warm happiness; you don't need to use complicated techniques or tricks to captivate your audience and that's so incredible!
I'm starting my own art journey (returning to art and expressing myself), and it's so nice to see how committed you were to drawing every week! Your illustrations are so colorful and cheerful!
Wow you've made a lot of progress. I made it a point this year to get back into art after 3 years. I didn't make as much progress as I would have liked. But this was absolutely inspiring and encouraging!
This was so inspiring and relaxing, and happy and feel-good. I really love seeing WIPs for individual drawings, but to see your process grow was breathtaking. It makes me feel like I can do it too, a little at a time
Thank you so much for sharing your progress line with us! This is super important to me and I've learned so much from you. I've only discovered your Instagram account this week but I feel that you have already changed my life 🤩 I'm a polymer clay sculptor but I love illustration and it has been a dream for me for a long time to become an illustrator too and give a different life to my characters. With all you have shared with us, you have given me even more desire to keep pursuing my dream without being afraid of sharing it with others. Looking at how you have evolved during your art journey is such an inspiration! Once again... thank you so much!!! 🥰
Love these “journey” videos! I think commitment and enjoying the process are instrumental in the growth and evolution. You can learn a lot about yourself…thank you for sharing, I’m inspired! Blessings 😍
I just discovered you few days ago and you already inspired me so much! 🤩 I put myself for challenge to draw everyday for a month and I'm trying to find my style. I was never planning on becoming an illustrator, but drawing illustrations is something I always wanted to have in my skill set. And I'm looking to your drawing courses so much! Thank you ❤ Greetings from Lithuania, Central Europe ☺
I love your art! It’s so welcoming and lovely. I’m restarting my art journey this year and was so happy to find your channel for inspiration and encouragement ❤️
Love both the simpler pencil illustrations and the digital ones! Where I really see a progression is in your compositions and creativity within the ‘whole image’ if that makes sense 😂 This was super relaxing to watch! I shall find you on Instagram :)
I love your style so much! I am also trying to draw every day now. I stopped drawing because of the pressure i felt around it but by doing it every day i feel like i am in the process of making drawing mine again! By the way, love your colour palette !
I'm so glad to have stumbled upon your channel and learned from your tips and inspiring art journey. It also reflects in your art and I like how each and every art you make appears so whimsical and beautiful I could stare at them all day. I would like to grow with my art someday and overcome my fears and procastination. Thank you and more arts to come!
I love your style, it's just aesthetic and simple (not like basic simple, but like, not doing too much, you know?). Most artists these days have so much going on at once in their art. It's not relaxed, almost too hyper. It's nice to see something relaxing in art, you know?
I enjoyed this so much. You have such a pleasant way of speaking too. I honestly thought the early art you did was adorable and I wouldn't have thought twice of trying to improve it if it were me. But, you certainly did make great improvements! It was really inspiring to watch this and I feel very moved to start my own daily art challenge, realizing the importance of daily practice and accepting the fact that it won't happen over night. Thanks so much!
I LOVED this video - thank you so much for sharing your journey! It’s so inspiring and I love how you’re not judgemental about your earlier work at all. Makes me wonder where I’d be if I started taking my art seriously today 🙈
All I could think while seeing your art is Children literature and bedtime stories! These would look great as illustrations for bedtime story books. I hope authors hire you to do illustrations for them❤
Thank you for this video! It is so lovely to you to share your journey through your art and what an improvement!!! It makes me feel that I am able to do so too and it really motivates me. ^^
I mean... The fact that from day 1 your pics were already super beautiful. I mean, I can see the improvement, of course, but you are really talented. :DDD You have inspired me so much, I'm doing something similar thanks to you! Lots of love!!!
MImi, how did you progress from super simple drawings to giving definitions and lines to the drawings that made them more realistic? Did you watch other videos or was it just from within you? For example, the hair was simple earlier, but later on, there were lines and flowy hair showing movement in the drawing. How did you do this? I would love to know it, as I am a beginner too.
I'm drawing every day but I don't have a style, and my skills are poor. :( I can see no improvement for those reasons and I feel discouraged😢 Your illustrations are amazing❤
How did you know you wanted to do these kinds of cute illustrations? I usually do watercolor landscapes, but i want to find my nice, does anyone have any tips?
Hi, will you make a post here or IG about why do you use Photoshop instead of Procreate? I guess people are so into Procreate that not very many use Photoshop. So, those who use Photoshop may have a fresh p.o.v. related with their creative journey :)
Hi! Yes I could make something about using Photoshop, I mostly use it because I already have the software for graphic design work and also because I don't own an iPad. I'd like to try Procreate one day so that I can compare them!
Thank you for sharing this. What I really don’t understand is how you had such consistent style from the get go? As I’m learning I’m going from different styles and doing things, I like comic cartoon style but I also love this cute style, I love digital paintings, I love simple vector, so I have no idea how to build a business/ following when I’m all over the place :/ Should I just pick one style and learn that well and just present that? Thank you.
It's totally ok to enjoy different styles and be experimenting with them! In my art journey video I show some examples of different art I made from all sorts of styles when I was a teenager or at university. I think on Instagram because I was only drawing in coloured pencil for a while it helped it look fairly consistent, but if you're experimenting with different mediums I think that's great 😊
Really cool video! I would love to hear more about your artistic journey. Because in your video, its sounds like you say your started only in 2020? Tell me you learned how to draw before starting this channel. Or it will be depressing for most of us 😂
I love this I have just started exploring illustration and have dived straight into digital with Procreate on an iPad but I love the idea of going back to basics to help me practice as I don’t have a lot of control on the app. I also love the idea of drawing everyday how did you come up with your ideas of what to draw each day? X
Great idea! Sometimes the added frustration of knowing how to technically achieve what you want in a drawing software makes things extra difficult until you get the hang of things. I went for a little walk every morning to let my mind wander, and if I still wasn't inspired I would join an art challenge on Instagram or ask a friend what I should draw 😊
@@MimimooIllustration thank you you’ve been really inspiring I have already found myself looking at things in a different way there really is inspiration everywhere x
Ahh sorry I thought I had fixed captions but they still won't work for this video! I'll sort out manual subtitles for this one, thanks for letting me know they weren't working!
This was so relaxing and inspiring! I really love your sparkles and the way you draw plants. And WOW. 750 to 25k followers in a year, congratulations, that's incredible!
Thanks so much! My next video will be about how I grew my account on Instagram, so keep an eye out for that 🙂
I really loved this video. It’s really motivating. I’ll try do this. I know I won’t be able to every single day because I feel pain a lot. Sometimes I barely can’t move. But I’ll try with all my strength! Love your progress!

Aw that's lovely to hear!
I am in awe of your progress. To be honest I think your first picture is perfect! I'm trying to find my own style just not sure where to start. :)
I love all the detail in everything else and then the face is just :->
Thank you so much for your video. Seeing you showing your drawing journey and how you progress step by step, make me be less afraid of drawing. Your journey is beautiful, fighting for your next year.

What an inspirational video. I love seeing your growth. I definitely need to work on my art daily.

Her illustrations remind me of book illustrations. They are so child friendly and very professional at the same time.

I agree! I definitely started experimenting more with composition after a while!
Good job! Your art is beautiful, coherent, positive & meaningful.

I'm drawing every day but I don't have a style, and my skills are poor. :( I can see no improvement for those reasons and I feel discouraged😢 Your illustrations are amazing❤
These will be a beautiful sticker collection if you ever make one.
Amazing 😍
Would u ever consider making your own how to draw people I can't find anything similar I love the way you draw people 💕
What drawing tablet do you use? Like your style.
I like your drawing so much!😆🌸While watching, I relax and feel happy. Where did you study how to drawing?
Oh thank you! I studied a little bit of art at university but mostly watched videos online and did lots of practise!
I love this video! How much were your commissions when you started?
How did you know you wanted to do these kinds of cute illustrations?
I usually do watercolor landscapes, but i want to find my nice, does anyone have any tips?

Hello, what was your profession before you became a full time illustrator?

How did you get your traditionally drawn images to be so bright when you post them? I find mines are so dark.
❤❤❤
did you make your handwriting as your font?
You already had an art style before, how did u do that?
My biggest issue is knowing what to draw. How do you keep inspired?
Are you drawing on surface?
What brushes do you use in photoshop?
Mostly Kyle's Natural Feel brush (from Kyle's Megapack, you can download them via Adobe!)
Cute
haii can you enable your subtitles please?? even the auto generated one is a huge help!!
Ahh sorry I thought I had fixed captions but they still won't work for this video! I'll sort out manual subtitles for this one, thanks for letting me know they weren't working!
The video now has captions! I have updated it with manual captions as youtube would not auto generate for this one.
OH MY. THANK U!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ur ideas are vry inspiring💐
But mimi u dont answer my last commnt on ur video..
love how she doesn't use an iPad pro :3
