    I totally agree with your suggestions! I have a old fanart account that grew in 2019, but I was too busy to keep it active in 2020, it was hard to make it as lively as it was before, and started to go downhill till now. Posting consistently is really important if people wants to take the account seriously.

      yes you´re absolutely right! I also have a second account for my graphic design work and don´t post there regularly, so it is also not growing although I have it for years now 😅 + I didn´t hop on new stuff like reels and also don´t share stories there. So this makes a really big difference to my main account.

      I draw on a RGB file with 300dpi on procreate. Size is either 2500x2500px or 3500x3500px. That’s it, then I save it as a jpeg and upload to Instagram ☺️ and when I want to print the illustration I convert it to CMYK in photoshop.

But besides that, this video really gave me a lot of tips. I did not know that Instagram is pushing reels so much now. Time for me to learn how to make good reels. Thanks again!

    Thanks so much for the effort you put into this video! very helpfull tips. I have a question and im curious about your opinion on it. I have created an account back in 2016 and now finally are over 1100 followers. Engagement is not really good though and i heard other people saying that starting a new account might help grow faster. Mind you... i have never been consistent so maybe i could try that first? what do you think?

    • @annalunakdraws
      @annalunakdraws  Год назад

      Hello Marijke! Thank you for your lovely comment!
      If you have been very inconsistent I would definitely try to open a new art account!
      I have the same thing with my design account. It was an illustration account first where I never have been consistent and then I turned it into a design account, it is still not growing and I think the problem is the switch and also the big gaps of not posting and being inconsistent.
      when I switched that account to design I also started a new illustration account and posted consistent from the beginning and this new account grew really fast :)

    • @annalunakdraws

      I checked your Instagram and would recommend to focus more on the captions. So not only one word and an icon but a good description with relevant key words. And more specific hashtags although hashtags aren’t that important anymore. And uploading waaaay more reels too ☺️

    Thank you for the tips. I need it, I rather lose followers then grow. Every time I upload a post, I immediately lose 2-3 followers( I don't have much so it easy to see if someone unfollows) I did already all your tips, but my account just isn't engaging. I participated many art challenges( i participate about 1-5 every month) including inkoctober last year, but for me it wasn't successful to grow I have about 10 followers thanks to that. I hosted 2 art challenges already didn't help much either. For my Christmas challenge many artists used my hashtag, but didn't tag me. So it was a negative experience for me, I felt hurt( i can't describe any other way) I know for many artist participated inkoctober is helped to hit 1k, but for me it didn't help. Sometimes, I am very discourage. I try to follow your tips for 2022, let's see if it helps.
    I already tried everything, that others advised and I saw other artists do, but for me it didn't work for some reason.

      Hi! You’re welcome! Oh no I’m so sorry about that!! that’s why I mentioned in that video that the first tips were my personal ones that helped me back in 2019 now in 2022 I would work on my Instagram page like I said in my tips for that year because a lot has changed and there will also be a lot more changes throughout 2022.
      but may you tell me your Instagram handle? So I can check out your profile ☺️

    What is the purpose of having a huge number of followers? 🤔😬

    • @annalunakdraws
      @annalunakdraws  Год назад +1

      For the most, the purpose is their art business. You may want to teach others illustration, so you can create your own courses or brushes and sell them to your art community. You can redirect your followers to Patreon, get better-paid collaborations with companies, and easily open a shop because you already have a community that loves your work and is willing to buy it. and much more 😅
