Me too bro , I'm like spending damn hours on drawing and then hours making the post perfect , it gets like 5 likes , had a big dip now in my likes and stuff
I have been researching this topic for almost six months and this is HANDS DOWN the best video that I have seen giving tips on how to grow your IG! Well done! (amazing art, too, by the way!)
Thank you so much for this video! It has been really hard trying to grow my Instagram account and at times very demotivating when your work does not get seen...by anyone. I've tried using reels initially, but it seems quite saturated now... I always get excited when I see people comment on my work, but the hardest part is when the comments are art pages who will promote your work if you pay them. As a student, I can't really afford that. Once again, thank you so much
You can go to your privacy settings under comment, under blocked words and phrases. Next you block key words you see from spam comments. I've blocked - DM, promotion, send pic, (send me this pic, etc though they say they block similar phrases) you should see more words to block if you still get spam comments.
The "turning 1 piece of content into 10" is the best tip I have ever hear din my life!! Hadn´t heard anyone else out there give tips like yours, thanks!
One of the most practical tips for artists.. Thank you. PS: I would add "interact with your followers. Always answer comments and DMs.. talk to people, its actually fun :)"
Thank you so much for all these. The thing right now with most of the artists are that they want followers but at the same time they want to learn something in real life and that restrains them from being consistent. Also many believe in a certain feed, or grid type, thats why we dont post photos of the process as it will mess up with the grid style. But thank you so much for all the tips. Some more tips that worked for me: 1. Collaborating with artists having almost same no of followers as you. 2. Using a certain grid style. 3. Making as much reel as possible. Some more to them who can really invest time online: 4. Commenting on posts of other artists have less or equal followers than you. 5. Sharing their post on stories. (Use some sweet words) Hope these works for you. But def one thing that I learnt is I posted 9 artworks in 1 year got 100 followers in total 1 year. Nd I posted 6 artworks in 3 months got 200 new followers in just 3 months. So may be this algorithm works🤷🏻♀️
I'm loving your channel! You're giving me hope. People told me I'm really hard on myself about making sales and posting online and I realize I am doing better than when I started and I have fallen a few times but I'm not giving up! Thanks for sharing your tips and great ideas!
I had a post reach 1000+ likes for the first time this year, and it was really amazing for me... a huge part of it was reels, and also finding a niche audience (for me, it was the DnD/Pathfinder/fantasy crowd). Those really helped!
I haven't explored reels yet, but definitely super keen now after watching this. Also.. great insight into the colors and brightness, the presets look so nice!
I honestly am not a huge fan of reels, and that's because of the "instagram trying to be tiktok" phenomenon that I'm despising a little bit But I have had interest towards making reels recently and I came to the conclusion that in order to get more traction, it needs to be done I hope I can have fun making them at least 😅
Great tips! I have crickets whenever I ask an insta question but I’ll think of what’s the easiest, simple question I can ask on there. Very smart that you’re selling your lightroom presets too! 🙌
Hey i just wanna say thank u after watching a lot of videos of people claiming they have advise on how to grow on ig this is the first video that i see with real advices ❤
Woooow thats a looooot of lessons and information, i cant believe how much you were trying and felt so much that im simply just not trying enough. Thank yoou so much for the valuable suggestions
I know I need more help in promoting myself on social media; I'm from the time before social media so I'm not that committed to it. However, I understand times have changed, but it's hard to dedicate yourself to something you're not that into. 😕
This video is old but I'm commenting to try and get the algorithm to NOTICE IT!!! I really wish I found this video when I first started and will try implementing the recycling art tip. For those wondering, my posts only get 15-30 likes vs my reels getting 100 likes and mostly a couple thousand views, so I'd highly recommend them they're very easy too. The hashtag thing 😂 I draw weird and sometimes creepy art and It took me so long to realize regular art hastags don't work for me, I'd recommend actually clicking the hashtags to see if it's similar to your style 💀
I just started using reels on my personal page. Basically just to get the hang of it. I have 2 other pages one of my art and one of cheese/cooking. It took a while to get more followers on my cheesepage but it has grown more than the art one. I haven't gotten as much engagement on my art page but I'll keep trying.
Great video, I will definitely try out your tips from growing an IG account, btw are the LR presets still available? The link goes to a 404 page on your site.
I'm trying to get more into reels! Their tiktok repost crackdown put a pin in things though 😅 My drafts don't work like a lot of people on android so making reels natively just ends up getting me stuck in post purgatory/having to log out to reset my cache/losing the content. And screen recording is such a pain, now both for tiktok and backing up reels drafts 😭 The things we do for reach these days!
This is a good video. I am way older and have a few followers on Instagram after about a year. I don't want to work too hard but I can do reels with your suggestions.
Thanks for your advices! I recently opened an art acc and have 18 followers rn , sometimes my reels goes kinda viral but i don’t get any followers , any tips about that?
ok, not tryna brag, but i just posted a reel after she mentioned it. i had 500 plays in under 5min. please listen, make a GOOD reel. Don't be disheartened, as my first couple reels weren't that great engagement and performance wise. it will take time to grow your insta. still working on growing mine and am seeing some growth, been on insta for years and have only started to take it seriously for the last 5 moths.
After watching this very useful video I’ve checked my reels and realised they have more than 1K views, while my posts’ average is 40 likes. Reels do get much higher exposure but they don’t translate into followers in my case (coz I post high brow stuff as reels, which is a mistake. I should post mainstream pretty paintings stuff instead). The problem is if I record my process from the reference selection to getting the work ready for shipping, I won’t have time to focus on painting... How do artists manage to juggle the marketing and the creative process and still have time to sleep?
Reels are super confusing to me ngl. A friend recommended I post reels for more exposure but I only got 40 views. How some people get over 1K baffles me lol.
