I know I didn't believe it either before I bought one., I figured there are free tools and hotkeys that do all the same stuff. I couldn't have been more wrong. It only took one stream to realize what I had missing out on. It really is a fantastic tool.

Stream Deck It's great, it allows me to switch scenes without mistakes, and it's very easy in directing.
It saved me the cost of buying an ATEM MINI or other expensive switchers
And the software makes it easy to use as well.

I really love my streamdeck too. However, I switched to using Bitfocus Companion with my streamdeck. It's free and has over 200 integrations with other hardware/software (e.g. PTZ cameras, sound mixers, switchers, OBS, reaper, etc etc). I even control multi-live streams with it because it can connect to multiple OBS instances simultaneously. You should check it out some time.

Brilliant video as always. You have a great engaging way of explaining things. I only use obs to live record bass guitar covers etc. Now tempted to get streamdeck to do easy in video changes and possibly do some streaming

Hi I’m new to streaming I just brought Elgato xl just programming it now and I’ve noticed at the bottom for the scene I have title and scene everyone else has a 3rd option is that because I only have 1 profile saved on obs with at moment because don’t have cam yet I only have starting soon,brb, gameplay
Also when I have clicked on my 1st scene starting now it’s not going to that seen so that middle collection I’m missing help plse

my stream deck says "waiting for obs" what to do? i did all the steps from the elgato site but still it wont work please any help
Very good video but why are you not using the up to date stream deck software as there are a few differences in how you would do certain things.
I update when necessary and never before. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I use it to produce live streams every week. If an update causes me to lose something or I have an issue with a new feature it could be hours of work to fix it. And it works form me now. So until it doesn’t I’ll leave it.
@@MichaelFeyrerJr That's fair enough, maybe when introducing the videos like this in the future mention what version software you are using, The new update removed the collection option in the scene button options so you can't do what you said in the video and choose the collection before selecting the scene. There are some very useful new OBS integrations options with the new stream deck update including source visibility, screen shots and lots more. I think people would love to see you review these new features in another video and keep up the fantastic work you do, your videos have helped me so much in my streaming career and I apricate all that you do Michael

Yes lets push a tool that costs several hundred dollars, when there are cheaper things available that only cost a few dollars and can turn any phone or tablet you want in to a stream deck, and work just as good.
I’ve watched quite a few channels about setting up obs with a stream deck and I just can’t see why people don’t use hot keys to do simple things such as next/previous scene etc. Maybe someone using photoshop might want to do certain things as there are so many keys in that program but not obs. And I used obs on a touch screen laptop and it was simple as touch the next scene on that too.
