Immigrants did not rebuilt Germany. Most likely you mean the turks, who came during early 60s in order to work in German companies. Back then, Germany was already rebuilt by the trümmerfrauen and the allies. The turks came because of the industry boom in Germany. Furthermore, because the turkish state is not able to run/support inventing and competative companies until today. Some turks were even paid to go back, however, they even took all of their families to Germany. Enormous problems with most of the turks until today in Germany.
The "Trümmerfrauen" thing is a myth. They existed but haven't built more than the others. In fact a lot more people have done that. As you said the turkish people, women, but men and children too. Everyone has rebuilt germany to make it how it is today
Nope, turks came when everything was already rebuilt, means later (1961 ongoing). When I talk about rebuilding I mean rebuilding from ruins, however, not contributing to later successes like in beginning 60s. This rebuilding process has nothing to do with immigrants at all, thus solely with Germans and allies.
Glad you saw a local brau haus. One of Germany's greatest traditions for a beer loving foodie. I enjoyed several in Cologne when I went on my first solo travel back in 2018. So good. I love the way that the waiters walk around with the small glasses of Kölsch handing them out and just adding a little tally to your beer mat to keep count. When you have had enough you just put your beer mat over your last glass and they know you don't want another.
My wife and I went to Germany for our Honeymoon (and Switzerland, Austria, and Lichtenstein). We spent a couple of days in Munich. It was neat re-watching this food tour.
As a true Bavarian i can tell u, that u are not supposed to eat the casing of the sausage. I would say that around 95% of all Weißwurst-consumer remove the skin of their sausage. It's a common habit when it comes to eating Weißwurst. Awesome Video, keep going!
Honestly i don't know the exact reason. For myself, i don't like the chewy factor of the skin and i guess most people don't like it neither. It isn't hard work to remove it besides. It only requires a cut with ur knife lengthwise and u can peel it off easily.
There is no NEED to remove the skin but as Fjarn already said it is very chewy and takes a lot of the flavour of the sausage away. Weißwurst is, compared to other sausages, very smooth, nearly "paste-like" and the skin removes this texture. But it is a natural skin so it is edible. I even know people who prefer eating it with the skin, I, personaly, dont like it but its up to personal preference.

Mark, I've gotten to know your facial expressions a little better now, lol when something is really good to you your head has a signature turn to the right side, but if it's mediocre, you will shake your head and mmmmmm, it's funny, really enjoy these trips around the globe with you and the family, looking forward to more adventures, part of it maybe that someone who recommends the cafe to you might have said try this food or try this Pastry, so you may have an expectation of great food, and then you try it and to you it's just okay mmmmmm, but I like the fact that you are honest when something doesn't taste well, it's good because your not people pleasing but giving us the straight scoop, like one of your Pork videos in Japan, where tried three restaurants all serving the same pork dish, and comparing each one that was cool...thanks again, prayers for you and the Family safe travels brother Bless you Buddy
Yes - Mark's face is expressive, and he always takes a few seconds before he reacts. If it is really really good he closes his eyes and swoons. If it is shockingly good his eyes widen and he gets closer to the camera like he's about to tell a secret (and sometimes he adds a "Wow!"). And if it is just okay but still tasty he will nod in agreement and express "Ummm Hmmm". But Mark never makes a 'yucky" face.

@@stefanf6495 that's exaggerated by a lot. There's roughly about 1 death incident a year, and that's usually because alcohol is involved or the person who took a dive didn't know hot to swim properly. Tragic nonetheless

Mike Eagle: I was noticing the same thing. As soon as he leans to the right, you know its something he likes.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work loving the food and the culture 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Was born there. Went to the Hofbrauhaus as a kid. Borchen ( spelling ?) which is a hard roll, with meat and cheese, so good. Veinersnitchel, spelling ? Love it. Left there when I was almost 7 and haven't been back. This brought back alot of good memories, thanks.
Was born in munich, and enjoyed the video very much!

i miss germany watching this. wurtz, beer, and summer breeze are a perfect match. Saw similar river surfing in Thun, Switzerland, in freezing cold.

him eating the weiß wurst with the skin reminded me of the first time i ate tamales... with the corn husks still on 😭 i swear i didn’t know and nobody tried to correct me either lmao
I come from Bavaria and i love all this food you tried in this video it's awesome

Guido....really.
Love it :D
actually a handful of people die each year, like half a dozen. I once whitnessed a rescue (better an attempted one), the fire fighters' sad faces when they finally went home told it all. nevertheless I enjoyed bathing there myself a lot.
@@stefanf6495 that's exaggerated by a lot. There's roughly about 1 death incident a year, and that's usually because alcohol is involved or the person who took a dive didn't know hot to swim properly. Tragic nonetheless
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Wow that pork knuckle is the real deal. Gotta give it a go when we visit next year! 👍🏼👍🏼😋😋Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas 🎄 to you.
Love watching all your videos.just amazing how much food you can eat.
Munich is awesome, my favorite city in Europe.
My favorite city in Europe is Minsk.
I can’t stop laughing at the sub at 9:05 he said “it’s an amazing sight to see when u r in Munich” but the subtitle said “when u r an eunuch” 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Mark, I hope you travel to South America in the near future especially to Argentina and publish some exciting food videos from there
I was in Dusseldorf. The food was good. The continental breakfast was great. The coffee was wonderful
Plate of yummy food, ✔️ tea✔️. Now I can sit and watch Mark Wiens 😊

But on the other hand, how is he going to keep the camera and eat the sausage at the same time, ha, ha, ha!
Paq why not?
Morning Mark! I'm glad you uploaded another video when you were in Germany awesome! More beer and sausage! Lol , thanks for sharing your experience, so jealous! Can't wait for you to go to Crete and Athens
Thank you so much for showing the tourist sites- we get to "travel with you"! :) Love your videos!
We visited Munich one year for Oktoberfest. The food was amazing, but you rarely see green vegetables. Needless to say, all that meat, cheese, potatoes, and bread eventually got the better of me.
Very good video. I enjoy watching because of the face you make while eating.
First one again! Love your vids Mark!
Daisy Espineda love you too dear

What did Mark Wiens have for lunch? Wiener
For god sakes! Inventors, whizz kids, IT gurus, WHEN are you going to invent technology transmitting via the internet tastes and smells. I can't stand anymore to watch Mark's videos and not being able to taste it immediately. Love, love your videos, Mark. And BTW what a nice smile from Micah at 16:18
The architect is superb. Germany is beautiful. The food looks amazing but expensive though.
As a bavaria it makes me happy to see that our food makes you happy 😊😊😊
