If you have one day to eat, this German food tour of Munich will give you some serious satisfaction. I have to admit, I going to multiple back to back restaurants to eat German food is a challenge - German food is so hearty and so filling. By the end of this food tour in Munich, I was ready to sleep immediately!
Here are all the details about the restaurants and prices of the dishes I ate:
1. Andy's Krablergarten
Andy's Krablergarten is known for their schnitzel, and they serve it up in a huge way. The cutlets are made from pork, and they are big and fried fresh. I tried a Hamburg schnitzel with eggs and a Munich style schnitzel with horseradish in the breading. It was fantastic.
Address: Thalkirchner Str. 2, 80337 München, Germany
Price: 10.90 EUR per schnitzel
2. Andechser am Dom
This is a nice German food restaurant, located on the side of Munich Frauenkirche, a major landmark in the heart of Munich. They serve a variety of traditional German Bavarian cuisine. My favorite dish was the mixed sausage plate, but the leberkäse was also good.
Address: Weinstraße 7A, 80333 München, Germany
Total price: 36.30 EUR
3. Ice cream at Schuhbeck's Eissalon
Address: Pfisterstraße 11, 80331 München, Germany
4. Bergwolf
Bergwolf is a German fast food restaurant in Munich, and their speciality is currywurst, a plate of sausage topped in sauce and fries. It’s not the healthiest of all German dishes, but it sure tastes pretty amazing - one of those 3 am kind of dishes.
Address: Fraunhoferstraße 17, 80469 München, Germany
Price: 5.40 EUR
5. Augustiner Bräustuben
Augustiner Bräustuben is a classic German brewery and restaurant in Munich, Germany. You’ll find some very classic Bavarian dishes on their menu and a good selection of beer.
Address: Landsberger Str. 19, 80339 München, Germany
Total price: 24.25 EUR
Thank you for watching this German food tour of Munich. I hope it will provide you with some tips on where to eat amazing German food when you’re in Munich!

Full of typos, but a funny comment regardless. Not sure if it was intentional because it almost seems to convey Mark's unique way of speaking. Well done.
Marks reaction is less intense in Western, European dishes. His heart is definitely in Asia.
I agree with you, that's because he likes spice, and there is more spice in Asian cooking.
Understandably so
richard seymore it's because he forgot to put the German mustard on those sausages for that final touch....i was screaming at the screen at 21:25 Mark for him to get it on there.
It depends on region. Germany is basically in a beer belt, but near the France/Belgium border it's not too hard to find fine wineries and the whole "wine with dining" culture.

I love watching these videos, but am I the only one that watch these when ya eat got to have a bite of food when watching videos about food?😂😂😂😂😂
The food looks great. I've read that Germany has over 300 different kinds of bread and over 1500 kinds of sausage, which means that you could eat a different combination of bread and sausage every day for several decades (if not your entire life) and not repeat a combo. Apparently every little region in Germany has a local special bread which isn't made anywhere else.
MulanBelle That's true , and every region , which we have hundreds of, has their own special dishes but sadly most tourists only know the bavarian/Austrian food but there are hundred different regional dishes that just taste amazing
You missed a 0 in the number of breads ;-)
it's actually more than 3200 different kinds of bread, not only 300
MulanBelle you forgot to mention beer! every German town also brews it own beer!
MulanBelle but in that statistic homemade or family traditional bread, sausage and beers arent mentioned.
Why am I watching this at midnight? Now i'm hungry..

I am not German But I really admire German people
Their engineering is so fine and good and their people are really hardworking
almost took over Europe on their own, LOL.
@Atlantic Thunder The fact that you only came up with 4 examples shows how great this countries’ engineering is.
Yes, the BER sucked, but give me the name of a country without a project that hasn’t been delayed/failed.
The VW scandal is not an engineering fail, it’s a masterpiece... Just for the wrong cause.
And the other two examples are so ridiculous,
I‘m surprised they even made it in your „list“..
Most countries don’t even have an app to track the pandemic.
@Atlantic Thunder shut up
@@juliusoster4709 The engineering itself isn't terrible, it's quite good,, but the government executing many things isn't what it used to be. The examples are failures of the government, which have an own TV show to be covered.
Germany used to be the best or at least world class in so many things, and many Germans are starting to get annoyed by the government having relaxed because of that fact for decades which led to the descent
@Atlantic Thunder yes, you're right! The schooling gets worser and the Gouvernement is going crazier each day. I can't believe that we had such a high amount of top scientists before years...
I better stop complaining..

Schweinehaxe
Wienerschnitzel

You'll be disappointed. German food is bland and unappealing. Can't blame them though, their unfertile soil and bad weather means they've lived on potatoes and cabbages for centuries.

This man has such a humble and sweet way about himself, and his family is equally beautiful. Just watching his videos has helped me pull out of depression at times. In fact, I am single, and lived alone for over 15 years of my life. Sometimes when I eat my own cooking, I watch this guy eating at same time that I eat, and it helps me feel less alone. I think his show would be great for seniors and the disabled, because he is so upbeat and loves eating so much!

I've been living in germany for almost 4 years now. The food is actually surprisingly good. Heavy and price worthy (compared to many oher countries in Europe) but surprisingly tasty. Also the Germans are actually very kind and helpful people. They really care about the society and their local neighbourhood
KM depends on where you are.
KM hi KM, I really want to visit Germany but am a little scared of racism. I am Bengali, would I be ok? I am sure that most Germans are wonderful people, but better to ask and be sure ☺️
Samiyah Corelli No problem. Don’t worry. But quite a few people don’t want to see the religion (hijab, tschador,....) Because religion is something you do at home. Germany has a lot of muslim „refugees“, that’s why people are more sensible than 10 years ago.
Ev. Ah thanks for your reply! I'm a big believer in the traditions of a country being far more important than my own faith, so I would definitely not wear any outwardly Islamic clothing, in the hope that I look approachable and can meet some great locals!
germany has many indians so dont worry, its all about respect anyway, if you respect us we respect you, simple

The way you video the food makes it look even more delicious. And i love how detailed your description of the food. Keep going you’re doing great ! 👍🏻

I grew up in the USA and had been served sauerkraut many times, but was never really all that crazy about it. But when I went to Germany I found the sauerkraut to be absolutely delicious and pretty much addictive. I’m not sure what the Germans are doing but it’s incredibly good!!
You have to sear the Sauerkraut in lard. Makes a huge difference in taste.

Hello Marc! Great to see how you enjoy the German food! In case you visit Munich again, I can highly recommend you two places! 1. A great cake store called Maelu in the city center of Munich. 2. The traditional restaurant and brewery Erdinger Weißbräu In Erding (a small city very close to Munich)
Someone who has travelled the whole world for amazing food has no reason to go to the restaurant "Erdinger Weißbräu". The food there is cooked somewhere else in a big kitchen and just reheated. Right for tourists. Thats not what i call "traditional". There are a lot of better restaurants in and around Erding, when you wanna eat bavarian cuisine.
Love his enthusiasm and description of each dish. Makes me want to sample all of it!
your smile is contageus....nice!
I spent 8 years in Germany with the army!! I really really miss the food!! Have tried many so called authentic German food restaurants!! They just don't compare to the real deal!!
thats because they try to be authentic german restaurants while USING only american ingredients and resources. they dont order their stuff from half around the globe. if they did that it would taste like the real deal but also cost 3 times as much.
Yes Larry I spent 13 years there in the Army, and I find the same but thanks to Lidl and Aldi I can get bratwurst. There is a fact that depending on which part of Germany you are in these foods taste differently.
