I loved the subplot of Stewie trying to impress Chris and Brian and then ending when he shoots them for lying to his face again was honestly kinda satisfying lol
I like that the episode where Lois stole the shampoo bottle had a fun moment where you can see Joe and Bonnie actually doing something together that doesn't involve Bonnie hating on Joe but rather having Bonnie helping Joe by and using his experience as a cop to check if Lois was also stealing something from their house.
That’s because Bonnie is a miserable imp who hates her friend Lois, and she tries smear any wrong of Lois, even though sometimes she no better than Lois (she burst in the Griffin’s house to call Lois a slut for being in a porno, even though Bonnie used to be a stripper). Of course she’ll play along with Joe,he’s helping her get her temporarily thrills that she needs, because their family life is pathetic (they don’t talk despite eating together during dinner time, whereas the Griffin’s at least do that).
I've had some of the hardest laughs at some of the jokes this season. As a man on the autism spectrum I cried laughing at Lois bringing Chris dinner at the school in the finale, "I made your favorite! Spaghetti noodles with butter and nothing! Which I'm told is a sign of a developmental disability but I'm not ready to confront that yet!" 😂😂😂😂

White Meg Can't Jump Is The Only Episode, In Which I Tolerate Peter Treating Meg Like Garbage, Because She Uses Those Insults To Motivate Herself To Be a Pro Basketball Player.
10:25 I agree like do the people at Family Guy just hate Meg that much that they just don't want her to be happy and that's why she can't have a boyfriend for at least one episode because they either end up dying or ditching her
Great video. I have to say I think this season was one of the best for consistency in a while I had more laugh-out-loud moments in this than I have for a while. It felt like they used story and development than using more and more cutaways to rely on padding out the episodes(Like that one they did about a 70s show and a big truck then come back and Peter and Quagmire have aged that went on for far too long which is always a bad sign) Blockbuster and Munchirian were personal favorites. Im really;y enjoying your videos and would love another long review like this.
The problem with Family Guy is that for the most part the episodes are just there to make up numbers with nothing of substance. They have a few gems but when you make so many characters are very unlikable you start to become disinterested on whats happening. I tried going back and watching some episodes but i saw the same problems as before with nothing of interest or note happening
I found your channel quite recently, and even as someone who isn't into Family Guy (I gave it a fair shot because I genuinely admire MacFarlane's talent, but it seems I'm unfortunately more of a South Park guy at heart) I've been really enjoying your videos. It's the kind of show that's really interesting to hear from a fan who talks about it in depth about. My partner loves the show and I think we'll have to tune into this season and see what they make of it.
Im not gonna lie Season 21 had some good episodes. Some of the episodes brought back the charms of what made Family guy funny. So far my favorite ones are the Bird Reich, Wild West, the Bend Or Blockbuster, and the love episode where they did 3 movies about Love
One of my favorite things about family guy is how the cinematography improved leading to much more beautifully animated scenes. I started watching family guy when those kinds of scenes made more appearances, and going back and watching the show’s art slow but surely improve was a ride. While it annoys me watching the clips where the characters are at their lowest, I’ll still go back to it from time to time. Thx for giving me a reason to get back into it! 😁
Family Guy got good again half way through season 21. When I saw the Candidate. I said "YAY Family Guy is Family Guy again." The story was well written, It had a good number of cutaway gags, it brought back the fast pacing, and they killed Doug.
I actually really like Wild West. Sure, Adam West was just the GOAT, but at least they're trying a new direction and not just trying to recapture the magic Adam West was with somebody different. Plus the Christmas/Nativity story did have its moments, especially the stinger at the end
This season was one of the better seasons in a long time. I've not watched a full season since Brians Death (I forgot which season that is) and this is the first season (aside from the last 2 episodes as I havent had time to watch yet) I've kept up with and watched in full since then. Its nowhere near as good as the originals but its certainly getting better again
I will say this season of Family Guy was a lot better than the previous ones, as I swear, there have been only 3 good episodes per season in a long while. Thank you Lydia for reviewing this season, as it's been enjoyable taking a look at these episodes as a whole to give an overall review! Also, I will say this season was heavily Meh and Lois centric, but were definite standouts! Whether this be Lois' EXTRA hypnosis on Peter or Meg as Belle in Russia, there were some bangers here!❤
This season hasn't been too much better than the previous ones (at least to me), rather it feels like people are _allowing_ themselves to enjoy the show again.
Most of the episodes are ditching some of Modern Family Guy’s problems and going back to pre-S8. Some of the moments are kinda funny. Let’s hope S22, 23 and maybe 24 can continue this step in the right direction
I've only finished this season, and it was good, funny as usual (manchurian candidate 😂). I loved in "Oscars Guy" that in each segment, they kept playing Two Princes by Spin Doctors. Song of the 90s, I guess 😂 5:22 HOTSTU really made me laugh. I agree with you, Lydia, about the new Mayor West, not patch on the original.
I like the episodes where the characters actually are characters, and not crazy maniac killers and 204829749293959 Cut outs. I love that peter begins to get more emotions character development and just being amazing.
As someone who has been watching family guy since around 2008 2009 I’ve got to say this season was actually enjoyable for me personally. Some of the episodes I’ll admit we’re kind of boring at some points but the jokes were definitely funny and there were quite a bit of jokes that made me laugh out loud pretty hard, especially with the hypnotizing Peter skit that was pretty hilarious and that made me laugh the hardest I’ve left in many years watching a show, so this season was definitely a step up from the previous ones for sure
I enjoyed some of these episodes and while usually they'd be my favorite, the parody episodes just didn't do it for me this season. My overall favorite episode is The Three Kings as although they were parodies, they were still their own little stories that were enjoyable. Especially for Oscar Guy, it felt like they spent more time trying to point out the flaws in the movies and rushing through it instead of being an actual family guy version of the story. Family Guy is just a lot better when they're having fun with stories rather than trying to be mouth pieces for something.
Personally, it’s a more renaissance season for Family Guy, having more good stand out episodes than bad. With Family Guy currently cancelled or at least hiatus due to the writer strike, it’s a good run for the show to take a break.
13:21 Wow she's really lucky that she actually ended up delivering to that woman as a doordash delivery driver. I mean it could have been possible that this woman was somebody who wouldn't order from DoorDash at all. It has competition there's GrubHub although I don't know if it's in Nantucket or not. I know it's here in my hometown of Santa Rosa. Granted yes I have delivered DoorDash orders to the same customer multiple times before, it's usually pretty rare that I delivered to the same person again. It usually is like a month or many months or even a year. There is that rare occasion where it's like a week or I think I remember delivering the same customer twice in a single week which I was really surprised about, but yeah it's not common at least in my hometown of Santa Rosa CA Also the episode fails to realize that you actually can't rate customers. I really wish you could but you simply can't do so. That's one thing that's frustrating about the job is the customers have a power to rate you but you don't have the ability to rate them. Pretty ridiculous. Aside from that I enjoy the job.
I like how not the humour , though that was funny, but Peter isn’t this complete pyschopath. There are scenes where he acts generally dumb but not a jerk. He tries with Lois in the end of the episode and they don’t really rely much on killing for him to be funny, he tries kind of like a Homer Simpson but retaining that edge of family guy.
I didn't hear you bring up the fact that family guy had way less flash back moments in this season. (I could be wrong and you did) But I know a lot of people have been waiting a long time for that to happen. I personally liked this season more than I was expecting, because I like the flash backs in the fact that no one else does it. It made family guy stand out more for me. But I still think this was one of there best seasons ever.
I miss Blockbuster's and their use of the VHS sticker and phrase "Be kind, Rewind"! 😂😂😂😂 I mean it was a DVD!! 😁😁😁😁😂😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪🤪 You're example of Western West was funny to me… really made me lol I actually don't have cable TV or anything to watch it, so I too really didn't know it was still being made! 😂😂😂😂
I think modern Family Guy is mostly hit or miss. It defiantly feels like the writers are trying a lot harder than they did in seasons past, but they've been on the air for so long the a lot of it feels tired. That being said I enjoyed season 21, I'd rate it 3.5/5
5:07 that particular episode of the Simpsons made me cry. Cuz it’s so sweet how loving homer and marge are to one another. I’m a sucker for episodes like this.
Honestly, I quite liked the B-plot in White Meg Can't Jump. One of my special interests is Dissociative Identity Disorder (or Multiple Personality Disorder), so I was pretty excited about that, however, what disappointed me was the fact that it was only for that specific episode. I would honestly quite like it if the next season includes some moments where Mrs. Padbury Wilkerson or Boon or something make another appearance. It doesn't have to be the main focus, but just some brief callbacks, although with how episodic Family Guy is, I highly doubt they'd do anything more with Stewie's DID. Stewie wasn't "cured" or anything, he still has it, so it would just make sense for it to be referenced again, in my opinion.
6:58 Hang on. In the episode it makes it look like peter is horrified by what he did but didn't he find Babs attractive in one episode from one of the earlier seasons?
"The Munchurian candidate" might be my favorite episode of the season. Solely for the B story! 😂 Brian & Chris complimenting Stewie's interior design, only to talk sh*t about it as soon as they walk out, gets me everytime. I was crying laughing so hard, the 1st couple of times I watched that episode. 😭
Wild West peaked in his introduction episode, which was really good, I also enjoyed him in S20's Christmas episode. This season was a great one albeit I prefer S19 and S20 by a slight degree. Also hugely agree with Lois becoming the standout Family Guy character in recent years, I can't wait to see what they do with her in S22.
You know, I haven't seen an episode of Family Guy in a few years now, much less a new one. That said, I kind if like the way this is going. The characters seem to have improved and their relationships have been developed. Most of the stories look fun too. I think this could be Family Guy's renaissance.
I have to say that overall this was the funniest season of Family Guy in quite a long time. My biggest complaint would have to be that the season seemed way shorter than 20 episodes, and there seemed to be inordinately larger gaps between airings. As much as people complain about the dip in quality in both Family Guy and The Simpsons, I STILL find them to be the best shows not just on the Animation Domination block, but the entire FOX network at this point. I've been saying for years that were it not for Family Guy, The Simpsons, College Football and The NFL - and now also the USFL - I hardly ever watch FOX at all these days. Damn near everything on it sucks now: the dramas, the sitcoms, and the reality shows... MADONE! HOW MANY SHOWS DOES GORDON RAMSAY NEED?
5:45 great that Quagmire and Donna are friends bc it shows that Cleveland trusts Quagmire w his new wife and he can maintain healthy relationships w women as friends
I don’t know, Linda can get pretty insane. Like the time she hosted her own B&B, or the time she insisted that her husband date her sister. Linda can be absolutely nuts especially when it comes to her sister. That being said Lois is a complete bag of nuts I will not disagree with you there.
It seems like the characters arent themselves anymore and it reminds me when Seth MacFarlane said in a interview that hes not sure who the Griffins are today and it make you notice that even hes not familiar with the direction of the show since hes stopped writing
I stopped Family Guy years ago knowing that it has shown little to no improvements. I wish it got cancelled and salvaging it has past the point of no return.
I disagree. The Old West Episode was great, and Peter only bullied Meg to push her into succeeding, because he cared about her, to the point of risking his voice to let her win

White Meg Can't Jump Is The Only Episode, In Which I Tolerate Peter Treating Meg Like Garbage, Because She
Uses Those Insults To Motivate Herself To Be a Pro Basketball Player.
"AirBnb it's YOUR HOUSE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"😂
10:25 I agree like do the people at Family Guy just hate Meg that much that they just don't want her to be happy and that's why she can't have a boyfriend for at least one episode because they either end up dying or ditching her
I liked it it has classic family guy stuff mixed with wholesome stuff it was great
Great video.
They can keep making Fam Guy and South Park till I die, even bad episodes are entertaining
I also like Lois as a crazy mom. Better than Marge and Linda because Lois adds some life to her character.
i actually really like this season. the quagmire and stewie pairing is a really good dynamic imo. i'd like to see some more hijinks between them
Me too!! I really liked that episode
Finally someone doing a season review, instead of just crapping all over the show like everyone else
0:40 Kinda funny that an early Family Guy episode already parodied this moment, except it was chicken wings.
I actually really like Wild West. Sure, Adam West was just the GOAT, but at least they're trying a new direction and not just trying to recapture the magic Adam West was with somebody different. Plus the Christmas/Nativity story did have its moments, especially the stinger at the end
I kind of love the chris and brian sideplot with stewie's new treehouse, it was cracking me up the whole time lol
Lydia doing the "compliment sandwich" a la Stewie Griffin 😂
I love season 21 full of good stuff, honestly i see a FG renaissance HAHA EP 12 WAS SUPER FUNNY TOO ME 😂
I will say this season of Family Guy was a lot better than the previous ones, as I swear, there have been only 3 good episodes per season in a long while.
Song of the 90s, I guess 😂
5:22 HOTSTU really made me laugh. I agree with you, Lydia, about the new Mayor West, not patch on the original.
I'm tied between chris,Brian, and stewie doing episodes together and Quagmire, Stewie, and Brian.
I like the new Gen Z/Millennial jokes in the newer Family guy episodes, they hit it so spot on it’s hilarious😂
Good to see FG showing a little love for their younger fans. They do Gen Z humor infinity times better than The Simpsons does.
I don't even watch family guy but these reviews and your videos always drag me back
I like the episodes where the characters actually are characters, and not crazy maniac killers and 204829749293959 Cut outs.
I love that peter begins to get more emotions character development and just being amazing.
The quagmire and Stewie ep , was just Seth talking to himself for 21 minutes
15:00 Oh my god that’s the same wall they did their non-apology about the Masterson support letter🤣😂
Glad to see u mixed the two thumbnails! It looks so good
Personally, it’s a more renaissance season for Family Guy, having more good stand out episodes than bad. With Family Guy currently cancelled or at least hiatus due to the writer strike, it’s a good run for the show to take a break.
I actually cried, when Peter, with hardly any voice left, says “shut up, Meg“. Super moment.
Yeah...that scene were Lois confessing she's a psycho was a long time coming. The obvious Birds reference was hilarious
There is that rare occasion where it's like a week or I think I remember delivering the same customer twice in a single week which I was really surprised about, but yeah it's not common at least in my hometown of Santa Rosa CA
Also the episode fails to realize that you actually can't rate customers.
You're example of Western West was funny to me… really made me lol
I actually don't have cable TV or anything to watch it, so I too really didn't know it was still being made! 😂😂😂😂
I LOVE how they made Peter more likeable this season. God its well deserved.
Love your videos. Thank you for making them
thank you for watching
The Bird Riech is one of my favorite episodes. I was dying all the way through it.
I also didn't know it was still going until I found your channel, I haven't watched family guy in about 10 yrs
5:33 Quagmire needs to stay away from Cleveland’s wife… since the Loretta situation 😅
The only part i laughed in the Old West episode is when they show baby West with a giant grey moustache lol
The best bit of the season is the drive home after Peter goes down on Babs😂😂
off topic but I cant believe Mila Kunis has done this show so long and hasn't gotten cancelled yet for it lol
I think all of Peter's friends saw lois nude. Except Cleveland
I love your vids, can't wait for the next! Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much
You know, I haven't seen an episode of Family Guy in a few years now, much less a new one. That said, I kind if like the way this is going. The characters seem to have improved and their relationships have been developed. Most of the stories look fun too. I think this could be Family Guy's renaissance.
Yeha I don’t like how the principal basically just American dads principal but not as good
Always brighten my days greetings from Ecuador
5:56 OMG!!!!! The scream made this episode EPIC!!!!!!!!
You forgot the episode "The Candidate". That's the one where Stewie competes in an election against Doug for snack captain.
Nah the memorable episode were the last two with meg married and that one where Lois dad adopts a child
The stewaway one was just an episode of Set MacFarlane talking to himself lol
I love new family so much more than old family! I find Peter Griffin so adorable
He never actually said that.
Plua he still has control over what happens.

Interesting opinion. I can honestly say I’ve never heard that take before.
I hated Cleveland’s parents, but I am curious why you suggested her to becoming mayor.
@@etarver13 she was mentioned as having ran in a mayoral election 5 times as a libertarian candidate in an episode
This season was watchable. That’s for sure an improvement over at least the past 10 seasons. I liked it
It’s good to see quarantine hanging with Cleveland’s wife and not cheating
