First! Besides Mox who has an unfair advantage!
What a cheater
17:55 I did not even notice this connection between TOTK and TP!!!!!? The eyes on the back of the Fused Shadow are tear-dropped shaped as well 👀
Something just occured to me:
What if the reason why the Twili were sealed into the Twilight Realm was so that the tribe would be cut off from light and their light magic by extension?
It seams like this ancient civilisation from the sky is associated with light. Rauru has light magic, the Minish are said to have gifted the royal family of Hyrule with light force and Midna destroys the mirror of twilight with a tear of light. (After being bathed in light by a spirit)
I'm only 18 minutes into the video, so if you're going to adress this later, I apologize ^^
Just wanted to write it down before I forget
holy shit i 'm like 17mins in and had a similar thought i'll make into my own comment. But this is so wild!
Interesting and insightful watch as always :)

I may not always agree with Lorulian's conclusions, but he is on his game, and I do always enjoy conversing with him.
we love lorulean :)

This was such a good listen. Incredible stuff as always
Thanks for listening fren :D
Why doesn’t Lorule have an active RUclips channel? He would be top-tier and his conversations or theories would bring a wealth of his history approach to the series? I think he has a yt but it is not active and doesn’t post video content. Kudos to Moxie getting Lorule on. I’ve noticed he has been appearing more and more on Zelda RUclips channels.

The Kokiri can fly as Ocarina of Time depicts them as balls of energy floating above the ground when Link moves away from them. No other NPCs disappear in this way so its clearly intentional by Nintendo that Kokiri are not really the form of Hylian children.
huh... maybe thats where that random thought came from
The Koroks were successful in spreading the forest. by BotW the world is covered in forests in every region and huge deku-tree-sized trees across Hyrule.. TotK shows that the Deku Tree reaches down into the depths so it makes sense these gnarled roots that are everywhere and don't follow the rrules of the inverted underworld are part of this network of trees. It also can explain why there is wildlife (groves, plants etc in the depths).
I agree.
Gorl this was fantastic I love your podcast! It is relaxed, yet goes so deep, I love to nerd out with you about all the smallest details. I am playing through Skyward Sword right now and it boggles my mind how this is supposed to be the ”first“ when there are ANCIENT civilizations on the surface. There has to have been a hero before that.
Also perfect start of your podcast series with the GOAT Lorulian Historian and THANK YOU for letting the men SPEAK! He is such a gem and other podcasts have wasted him, this one on one was IT!
Felt like I was right there with you and could listen for dayyyyys more ❤
He is an elusive one. I am glad I could get him in here. Honestly it was such a good talk. I really enjoyed it.
Since you're going to be covering more subjects regarding Zelda lore, references to reality, and minor references to other Nintendo-owned IPs, *I believe now is the time for me to reveal my shocking discovery.* Should you wish to read, *it is lengthy.* So I will split this matter in separate replies under this comment only. So! After holding this back, I'm eager to reveal it. Let's begin!
Bizarre Connections & Correlations (Part 1):
Kirby Star Allies is deemed by most an uninspiring entry to the Kirby franchise. While I personally enjoyed it, others believed it to be a black sheep to the series. The game was the biggest reason why Kirby and the Forgotten Land was made. It was at the point of Kirby Star Allies the developers, HAL Laboratory, needed to go back to the drawing board to innovate the series. Therefore, this change in direction became Kirby’s first true jump into the 3D realm. However, despite the backlash, the game was praised not just for the wide variety of characters from past titles made playable, but for the game’s villains. The Three Mage Sisters are a trio of generals of magic who serve a once-benevolent-turned-corrupted shaman call Hyness. Their ambition: to revive a god of darkness called *Void Termina.* While the Mages and Hyness continue their course for utter madness, the players discover tragic backstories surrounding the Mage Sisters. It turns out they weren’t always like this. They were once normal girls who were living life at the fullest until they were met with near-death situations by environmental disasters. The Fire Mage, Flamberge, suffocated in a fire. The Ice Mage, Francisca, was trapped in a snowstorm. The Lightning Mage, Zan Partizanne, arguably has the most tragic background of the three. After losing everything she held dear, she climbed a tower to allow lightning to take her life. Attempted suicide... Just when death was inches away to these poor girls, Hyness came and saved their lives by fusing them with powers of the very elements that nearly killed them. Since then, all three of them served Hyness humbly. Hyness was once long believed to be a figure of a righteous stature. Until… he came into contact with the Jamba Heart, the source of the malevolent power of Void Termina. Because of this, Hyness was driven mad and went insane. Shortly afterwards, the Sisters would follow, leading to the formation of the cult, Jambastion. They sought to awaken Termina. However, before they could act on their plans, a group called the Ancients caught them off guard and stopped Hyness before the rituals could be completed. Instead of execution, due to the fear of their power, Hyness and the Mage Sisters were sealed to the edge of the galaxy, so that one day, one can purify their very souls and lead them to their righteous paths once again. Thus, the events of Kirby Star Allies take place. While the game describes their backgrounds as brief and implied as it possibly can, the Mage Sisters weren’t given a thoroughly detailed backstory. While often compared to the Beast Pokemon of the Johto region (Gen 2), there’s a rabbit hole much deeper than anyone realized.
Bizarre Connections & Correlations (Part 2):
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom feature a massive yet tragic version of Hyrule, a land ravaged by evil and plagued with sorrows from a distant past. Upon awakening from the Shrine of Resurrection and leaving the Great Plateau, Link, the last surviving Champion of Hyrule, must traverse a world barely unrecognizable to him with little memory of himself or what’s happened. While traversing the scarred landscapes, he comes across mysterious and massive fossils of mighty beasts that lived in the distant past. These beasts became simply known as the leviathans, massive whale-like creatures that roamed the skies of Hyrule. While little is known what the leviathans were, fan theories point out the resemblance of the creatures featured in past Zelda titles. Most importantly, it was how each leviathan died. One leviathan was killed by an eruption from Death Mountain, one took refuge inside the base of North Hebra Summit but got trapped in a blizzard where it froze to death, and another died in the Gerudo Desert due to a catastrophic drought. The latter, as confirmed in Tears of the Kingdom, was revealed to have a child which died along with it. All of them suffered from environmental disasters. Sound familiar? Where am I going with this? What do the leviathans of Hyrule have to do with the Three Mage Sisters?
What if…
the Three Mages Sisters…
were once friends with the leviathans?
The correlation seems accurate. Flamberge suffocated in a fire, similar to the fate of the Eldin leviathan. Francisca was trapped in a blizzard, similar to the fate of the Hebra leviathan. However, Zan Partizanne suffered a different fate from the parent and child leviathans of the Gerudo region. Were the Gerudo leviathans like a family to Zan? Did the parent leviathan die on the surface while Zan and the child sought shelter in an underground cavern? It’s plausible. It’s possible Zan and the child leviathan tried to seek shelter in the cave with what very little is to be found but grief for the loss of the parent. The cave’s water… not only was it mostly dry… but undrinkable, and there was absolutely no food. In the midst of the chaos, the child leviathan falls ill. Despite Zan’s best efforts to nurse the child back to health… it succumbs to exhaustion and dies… Heartbroken, Zan lost her adopted family… Everything she held dear was lost… Instead of living on with a survivor’s guilt… she climbed the Lightning Temple to allow lightning to take her, as the Gerudo region is associated with lightning. Did Hyness find these girls in the result of the aftermath of the disasters that occurred in Hyrule? Shocking as it all seems, but the correlation is accurate. While I got nothing else to prove the connections between Hyrule and Dream Land, it all comes down to…
Wait…
Dream… Land…
Bizarre Connections & Correlations (Part 3):
- People always compared the Gerudo leviathan to the Wind Fish in Link’s Awakening… The Wind Fish brought forth a living manifestation of its own dream with a *Nightmare* attempting to take over it and the world beyond the shores of Koholint… The final boss of Kirby’s Adventure/Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland is called Nightmare. One of the enemies is a Kirby-like figure, which in the Switch remake, is a recycled design of Kirby’s model from Star Allies, the Kirby title the Three Mage Sisters debuted from.
- One episode of the Kirby: Right Back At Ya TV show revolves around two whales, a parent and a child, and their struggle to reunite with each other. Is Tears of the Kingdom’s introduction of a child leviathan a loose callback to that?
- Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds; both feature worlds with mirrored counterparts of individuals of the light world; both heroes’ mirrored counterparts are cowards.
- What about the Wizzrobes? The Wizzrobes in BOTW and TOTK all appear with fire, ice, and lightning magic. The colors of the robes bear a near-identical resemblance to the colors of the Mage Sisters’ robes when they fully succumbed to corruption as the Repentant Retaliators… Are the Wizzrobes physical manifestations of the Mage Sisters’ mischief?
- Don’t get me started on the Gleeoks. Fire, Ice, Lightning, plus all three for the King Gleeoks. Are they physical manifestations of the Mage Sisters’ destructive power?
- Why does the Jambastion symbol bear a resemblance to Vaati’s demonic form, who in turn resembles Dark Matter and Zero (and his 02 form)? Void bears a resemblance to Zero and Dark Matter, but why does Vaati appear as such? Does the heart in the Jambastion symbol represent Vaati’s fascination by the evil within the hearts of men? Given he was called the “Wind Mage,” wouldn’t that have made him the secret Mage Brother?
- Link’s Awakening’s final bosses shapeshifts into monsters Link fought in A Link To The Past; Ganon included; Dehtl inspired Vaati’s demon form; Kirby final bosses are known to resemble the evils Kirby fought prior to each entry.
- You know, it’s very odd that Star Allies’ final boss is called “Void Termina.” As in “casted into the *Void* of the Evil Realm.” *“Termina,* a land parallel to Hyrule, as its name implies, doomed to die.”
- Was Zan’s intentional destruction of the Jambastion Fortress a loose callback to Ganondorf’s destruction of his castle in Ocarina of Time?
- Void Termina's first phase battle description: “Rise! Oh, Dark Lord of Despair! Crush the stars! Lay waste to care! Rise and cover the land in sorrows! May your symphony of emptiness bring the end of all tomorrows!”
Ganondorf’s (in)famous order to his army: “Rise. Rise, my servants. Sweep over Hyrule with the power I have granted you. Eliminate this kingdom and her allies. Leave no survivors!”
- Swords, Axes, and Spears. Each Mage Sister has a specific weapon. Both BOTW and TOTK let you use these different classes of weapons.
- Sealed away due to the fear of power only to be redeemed at a later point in time? Sound familiar? (i.e. the Twili; the Divine Beasts)
Bizarre Connections & Correlations (Part 3 continued):
- Zan’s name is almost the same as Zant…
- Hyness goes from mindfully calm to totally insane within seconds complaining how he was sealed away; Zant can relate to this.
- And given his name is Hyness, as in “HIGH-ness.” Like how Hyrule was originally as in “HIGH-rule.” Only Hyrule would later be confirmed to honor the name Hylia. But even with that, Lorule (LOW-rule) was named as a dark world counterpart to Hyrule. Did I mention Hyness was a benevolent priest? He succumbs to dark corruption after the Jamba Heart takes its toll on his mentality.
- Hyness forces the Mage Sisters, along with himself, to sacrifice themselves to awaken a mindless monstrosity after the hero interferes with the ritual; Twinrova sacrificed themselves to revive Ganon in the Oracle games; Malladus gives up using Zelda’s body as a host and decides to use Cole instead with the intent to destroy everything with what little time he has left.
- Zan, at first, believed Kirby is a simpleton with a knack for annoyance, but finds out he’s an interfering *INTERLOPER.* If you’ve skipped a key important part of the Zelda lore or living under a rock, it’s a no-brainer who the Interlopers were… and how Princess Midna and the Twili are descended from them.
- In a last-ditch effort to eliminate Kirby, Hyness carelessly uses the Mage Sisters as lifeless rag dolls and thrashes them around. In Ocarina of Time, Ganondorf thinks nothing of his puppet, Phantom Ganon, but a worthless creation and banishes it to the gap between dimensions (a similar fate occurred to Magolor after Kirby defeated him, leading to the events of Magolor Epilogue), and with all of the demonic possessions seen in the Zelda series, even Ganondorf is no stranger when he possesses Zelda in Twilight Princess; the way “she” flies around, dives to impale Link, the lack of facial expressions until the end of the fight. Things are just as unsettling in Tears of the Kingdom when it was revealed that the Zelda seen throughout Hyrule is revealed to be another Phantom Ganon, the Phantom Saboteur. (Which did beg me to question, even if Link knew what happened to the real Zelda, then why didn’t he tell anyone much sooner that the Zeldas seen in the present era are all imposters? Did he want to avoid the conversation that Hyrule’s princess is trapped in the past, or in a conclusive case, is a dragon flying above Hyrule’s skies?)
- Are the Dark Skeletons, located in the Depths beneath the leviathan fossils, the manifestations of the Mage Sisters’ corrupted devotion to the Void Termina?
- Is the entire Hero of the Wild set, located within the Dark Skeletons, supposed to imply the Mage Sisters’ redeemed turn at the end of the post-game mode, Heroes in Another Dimension?
Bottom line with the universal question:
*ARE THE LEGEND OF ZELDA AND KIRBY OF THE SAME UNIVERSE!?!?!?*
@@TomMooreT2S I love the speculation here and, yes i did read this whole thing. The only thing I would say to disagree is just that Zelda is Nintendo's lil baby. They dont let anyone touch it, only the Zelda team. The Zelda team doesnt collaborate either, so I'd be inclined to say probably not because I think the Zelda universe is contained.
"How did you put this together"
With the sponsor of today's video, Squarespace!
The ancient robots and the constructs are held together by similar means, flowing energy.
Isn't it odd they would use green magic instead of the blue they used through out the games, like if they want there be a disconnect. In old Japanese, they have the same word for blue and green. Yet the use of this magic is very similar between these different peoples.
[Edit 1/100]- The statues in the depths look like someone made a statue of something they never seen themselves, sounds formiliar* [try to make a camel but made by someone who never seen a camel before].
They change the name of the twilight bow to dusk bow but didn't change the name of the twilight set.
If the events of the memories takes place at the same time as oot then maybe some of the zonai took part in the interloper war.
"Just ask the koroks" the one that were tortured?
The sages medallions symbols are [in universe] ancient, as they are seen in the sealed temple yet they were "lost", never seen or refreshed in btow and totk.
If you look at the profile for hestu and the deku tree you can see the korkie symbol.
If the temple of time was raised to the great skyland, then where's the palace? The assets used in the memory are in the games code so maybe it can be extracted and explored. Speaking of extracting models, the hebra skeleton is [not going to go into detail, go to the stable by Robbie's lab and talk to Loonie].
The other skeleton in Gerudo somehow got buried, had sand get turned to stone, excavated, and now he's something above it in the matter of only five years!?
The floor of the deapths [alot more in the faron region but is just about everywhere] has,* drum roll *, sea shells? I get that this place is supposed to have themes of death but shells, how?!
[Alright hopefully the last thing] Royal family descended from gods, a trope as old as civilization itself.
[Edit 2, electric boogaloo]- Spices were originally added to foods because it helps to preserve it, like how people would leave meat in salt just alot less, salty.
I think it is insinuated the Zonai took place in the interloper war~ "powerful magic wielders"? who else XD
Loonie is literally Banune.
shells from the great se>
I think Zelda broke the timeline... again... hence the weird changes in 5 years which seem more like changes which would occur over millennia. yet some of the things link did are still there and the castle town is still destroyed... for me it screams of worlds colliding and merging.
Even how the Zonai things appeared and fell all of a sudden, could have been keyed to Ganondorf's reawakening or could have been not even there until Zelda was thrown through time.
We see all the other Dragons in BotW for example but all of a sudden there is a 4th which also dips below the clouds like the other three, just not going into the underground which we can now see the entrances to. So that fourth dragon didn't exist before TotK, it's not a time loop before BotW's end. All of that preparing for Link's fight with the resurrected Gannondorf is new. Remember that Sonia always died and she was the Sage of Time, so no prophesy would have existed without Zelda to make the preparations which were.
Also because of the preparations... the Zonai infrastructure was ripped apart and never turned into Sheikah Tech later on... is one possibility.... So causality went nuts.
Love this! And with Lorulean Historian too ❤❤❤
I’m so pumped for this podcast series!
yeah i needed a buffer between some of these more complicated videos.
Saaaame. Love me some Zelda speculation in conversation hehe
I still find it hard to believe that the kingdom Rauru started is the same one from the minish cap Ocarina and twilight. I feel like it makes more sense that after thousands of years the kingdom fell and a new hyrule was formed by Rauru and Sonia. 🤷🏻♂️
I know right. What feels weird is how all the Zonai Architecture was destroyed...
A large, new landmass being built over ocean that submerged the original kingdom you say? Now, if we take that and just think of the ocean draining away, that does give us a surface kingdom and the remains of an older era buried deep below...
With Geldo v Gerudo, perhaps the Geldo were a precursor and the Gerudo borrowed their alphabet, making it so that Gerudo is written in Geldo Script, similar to how English uses the Latin Alphabet? Then by the time by of BotW there's been enough linguistic drift that the old word Geldo has fallen out of use
ooooo this is fascinating~ I hope Javier sees this. We were just talking about the shells in the depths.

1:38:00 have you considered it might be the equivalent of "WWJD"? Which on its own is a meaningless string of letters, but it's understood as an abbreviation.
[Edit2]- ah, here it is. This is a comment I've been wanting to delete for a long time. Not only was I just straight up wrong but I directly was denying something without looking into it first simply because I couldn't understand it in the first place. I wont be deleting it but instead will just keep this edit to it. I'm weighting this nearly/over a year later btw. I'm not sure why I did that, I didn't even say it like I was expressing an opinion but instead like if I was stressing it like a fact. Once again, I will admit I was completely or at least somewhat wrong (I say at least somewhat because I haven't seen it translated but I have seen a lot of work for it). I'm not sure what prompted me to say something so snarky/pushy like that in the first place but over this course of time, I have learned a lot about how to push those thoughts back, take a step back, look at all that is said and known, and also a better way of sharing those thoughts (say what you may have against it and the facts against it quickly followed up by what is known for sure about it, the effects and implications of it if it was true, and how it could work. Keep opinions as a separate part that is saved till the end and specify that it is an opinion.) Everything after this paragraph is what I wrote then a year ago and the first edit I've been referring to:
Alright, whats the page that the Zonai script was originally translated on and what translator(s) were used, I need to see some of thos for myself.
[Edit]- 1:37:00
Its not Arabic, its just patterns that have no meaning and are there to look good.
I can't watch this since I am usually working and haven't finished my 100% before the final boss playthrough of Tears of the Kingdom yet. But the spoiler picture makes me say:
this fits into my idea that the Zelda games actually have a hard-ish magic system. The reason why the Magitech civilizations, like the ancient Sheikah or Zonai, with the Zonai having a more natural feel while the Sheikah have a more forcing nature to comply feel and magical civilizations like the... I forget what they were called in TP
The point: all have very similar designs in their raw magic, tech and artifacts is because the magic itself has a structure they have to follow to produce predictable outcomes. This even includes the external features of their tech since their tech probably has magic to preserve them, since they all seem to be making tech for a future Link to use. One so far in the future, that stuff needs to be durable.
The amount of magic required is also technically mathematically calculatable as well since Link usually has limits with each artifact so that would make it a fully hard magic system that we, as the player, are locked out of since we play a magic swordsman who only ever uses artifacts or releases magic in a natural way using charged spin attacks.
fascinating...i want the full breakdown now
@@MoxieWatts lol also Tears of the Kingdom related. I was also thinking the timeline has been completely messed up by Zelda no one refers to champions anymore with link just being "The Swordsman" and Hyrulean metallurgy has jumped forwards decades at least to the level of completely copying ancient Sheikah as examples, remember we talked about the telescopes... well the towers in TotK are perfectly Sheikah, no welded small pieces either yet as far as we know completely newly made since all Sheikah tech vanished and there is no newly built foundry to be found either....
@liamnehren1054 i have been rolling ideas around in my head for a long time, trying to tie everything together that doesn't quite fit. Part of that is the way magic, timeshift stones, and zonaite function. The short version is everything an interplay between order and chaos. The three goddesses usurped chaos, creating order. The triforce is basically order, laws, patterns, and other features of creation used as a way to force chaos, chaos being infinite possibilities and everything happening at once outside of "time", to grant a wish or bend reality to its will. (The chaotic piece of the triforce is the center that takes shape because of three "order" pieces)
the timeshift stones and zonaite work the same way, time "lines" are ordered and organized, while chaos is everything all mixed up, all at once. Timeshift stones are "event" specific crystallized chaos. Size, shape, and specific patterns are like the "spell" or "recipe", the "order" used to select a specific place in time. Zonaite has several uses, but they work the same way. Autobuild is a good visual for this, zonaite has the "chaotic" possibilities, and you need the "ordered" "recipe" to "pick out" or select the specific possibility.
Magic items function in a similar way, using specific repeating patterns, and especially symmetry, as a way for "order" to select the desired effect (or possibility) from "chaos."
(Order and chaos are not the same as good and evil)
I have so much more to this, the timelines, the gods, the depths, hylia and demise, geography... I would make a video but don't have the equipment, know-how, or personality to do so. ( I'll leave that for someone else to do) I would like someone to bounce some ideas around with though.
@@MoxieWattsmy reply/ addition to the above post is my explanation for the patterns
The fused shadow and bargainer statues have a vaguely similar aesthetic
yes...thoughts? I have some ideas, but I curious what yours are.
I'm like 17mins in, and I kind of had to write this out before i forget. My apologies if this gets covered.
Does this mean that the interlopers who were sealed away for seeking the triforce, are now the founders of the this new TOTK Hyrule after the merging of the dragonbreak/ timeline split?? I can't help but notice that the Zonai (Rauru) does not have access to the triforce. Which means, his people still haven't attained their original goal, the one they got banished for. But they were so close by becoming the royal family, as only the royal family of hyrule has access to the triforce. Only for the Zonai to die out in the the past time of TOTK, where the Hyrulian royal family/ Zelda has the triforce (as shone by the glow on the back of her hand.)
Sonia, the "first queen" of TOTK hyrule has that triforce symbol on the back of her hand in white paint, but we still don't see the triforce in that time period. Maybe that is why the Zonai came down after the hyrulian civilization experienced another relapse of decline. To obtain the triforce they have coveted after for millennia.
Hi, thanks for replying earlier^^
Your theory is really intriguing. Tho Rauru doesn't seem malicious or scheming.
Maybe after millenia the goal became simply "become king of Hyrule" but the original purpose of obtaining the Triforce was lost to time?
Maybe these Zonai in TOTK are the ones that weren’t doing a cheeky rebellion.
@@fireteamblue XD those mischievous Zonai with their cheeky rebellion! Now I can't stop thinking of MCU Loki pretending to be Odin...^^
An interesting thought occurred to me about the fact you can have a construct excavate ancient blades for you from the Depths. I think that pretty much proves beyond any speculation that the ancient Sheikah were aware of and utilized resources from the Depths; otherwise, why would such an artifact from them be scattered throughout?
yes that and every lightroot also have shiekah technology within it and those are connected to the shrines above. I think it is safe to assume they have collaborated for a long time.
@@MoxieWattsthe teleportation function was added by mineru using the purah pad I'm pretty sure
Ive been making a Zelda/Light dragon cosplay and i wanted so badly to include the Zonai script in the costume somewhere, but i was afraid that i was just going to be writing gibberish all over it 😩😅 glad I'm not the only one struggling to interpret it!
its literally so complicated...there are people working on it...i am not people...i will patiently await the results.
This all brings bwck memories of 2014/15 and supermcgamers zelda lore/theory podcast. Great content all around!
Thanks man! I definitely want to keep talking with interesting folks about interesting things!
I think we need to start looking at Sky People, Ooccoo, Twili and Zonai as “enlightened ones” for us to really figure it out. I think they are all connected by the goddess Hylia
Yes, and I do believe that too. They were her people, the Sky people.

Just leaving another comment to say I love this podcast ❤
Yay, thank you!
What if the fused shadow was the corrupted remains of a broken construct. When it activates a surge of energy passes through it.
huh this is interesting. I dont think I've ever thought of the fused shadow as a piece of technology...but now I will consider it. Sheesh thats a good point.
@moxiewatts yeah. You inspired the idea, I'm trying to fit it into my headcanon. I have this theory that a lot of Cosmetics aren't canon in this timeline, but they bled out through the imaginations of past storytellers and tailors, ad fixed points, kinda like how the Sealing of Ganondorf is a fixed point in every timeline, like OOT (adult) TP and ALttP.
Nice Podcast!
1:01:20 Can this be applied to the face on the back of the bargainer statue?
dude honestly....I was thinking that the whole time he was talking
yeah I think it has something to do with it...If you look at my most recent community post, I wonder how it fits with that.
@@MoxieWatts Interesting, really wish they develop the bargainer lore, can be via DLC, a third game, book, just give us more details.
I was surprised when it talked through the Hylia statue, like, what do you mean by talking in the guise of this statue, was Hylia hacked? lmao
I have my own small theory, im at about 17 1/2 min in and yall are generally finishing the idea of the fused shadow from TP and the Constructs from TotK. In my head canon (right now at least), is that I'll somewhat expand upon the idea of separate Guerudo Kings named Ganondorf. The one from OoT (and the 3 timeline versions of him as well), the one from LTTP, and now the new one from TotK who is apparently the first off them all. Perhaps OoT/TP Ganondorf is sent to the Twilight realm that has the interlopers who could actually be made up of some of the Zonai race lost before Rauru and Mineru appeared. To help support the multiple male aspect of this is that because a Guerudo male is said to be born every hundred years, but that doesnt mean everyone of them is named Ganondorf (i dont think anyway 🤔). So maybe some males are not named that and some are, andout of those only a very small few of those become the "The Demon King". Also since the 1st Ganondorf (TotK) is still technically alive (though mummified and sealed) that doesnt mean another male can't be born in a hundred years due to genetics, or maybe the fact that he was sealed in his Demon King form making it so the human male aspect is no longer present allowing a new male to be born. Just a thought lol
Best videos to listen to while dealing with Norfolk traffic. Glad you brought on Lorule Historian! Never heard him talk, just read his stuff, but you two combined make some well thought out discussions.

48:54, the Hylians we see in the ancient past, the servants of of Rauru and Mineru, these people are the barbarians. The barbarians would be gullible enough to believe the Zonai to be gods. Just as Ganondorf surmised. The Zonai worshipped Hylia, some bansihed to the twili but in the end, united with all the other races under Rauru and sonia.
I've been busy so I'm finally able to catch up and watch this, but of course you put out another one already lol! Looking forward to more with capt burg after this *hits bong*

the constructs were designed by mineru, long after the disappearance of the zonai. the zonai were probably magic wielders.
Mineru _is_ a Zonai though, so your point is moot.
@@Wendy_O._Koopa but when she was around the civilization had most likely vanished already.
@@themar.i.per3374 I mean, she was around before _and_ after, as she ended up being the last of the Zonai. My point was, if you were claiming that the constructs weren't Zonai inventions, because they were created by Mineru, then that's simply false.
@@Wendy_O._Koopa i just think that most people dont know about this fact and think that the zonai came with this technology to the earth. but it says they were advanced and advance doesnt have to be with technology.

@moxiewatts Please help me I can't stop, I started doing it to myself, then friends, now youtubers, it's a problem. Also love your whackjob theories btw, they simultaneously make my brain explode but are also somehow very reasonable.
@@themortician3186 man I just like playing the guessing game. I appreciate that! The theories do be coming from a genuine place.
@moxiewatts Well you're doing a great job, you were my number 1 channel for hype before the release of TOTK and I even ended up watching your stream of the game (not live cause of timezones n stuff) which I dont usually watch cause it just makes me wanna play, but the way you sorta overanalyze everything is just really amusing to me.
Heck yea!! Nice vid.
tysm homie!!
So glad to have finished the game to see these videos
yesss omg podcast format for the winn 💗💗

hey did you guys mention Zelda’s cloak at the start of tp and how it looks supppperrr similar to the set of the the depths?
no but it do tho. I wrote it down during research but what were you thinking?
i have to wonder if the Hero's Aspect is Link going back in time in that outfit and fighting the calamity 10,000 years ago considering all the other time shenanigans going on.
Like Purah Pad - Sheikah Slate - Purah Pad
bro you should hear this theory by pixel fusion productions. he thinks that the ancient aspect armor is rauru's stolen body transformed by the sheikah. And I absolutely. love. it.
@@MoxieWatts at this point?
I'm not surprised where the Zelda team takes things.
They always surprise us in some aspects - even when we figure out others.
And that is a viable option xD
Dope, just in time for this long ride.
saving this to listen while i do some uber eats* driving!
heck yeah its def not made to really watch~
theres a podcast section now!
@@MoxieWatts looking forward to it! love both of u guys 🫶🫶
Interesting things being talked about. Awesome video as always!
Thank you!
Very fun to listen to, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great channel!
Thank you for your brain and getting mine to think a lot better.
I have a couple of things I've noticed, to get more people's brains
thinking a bit better as well:
A video I saw, I think it was the Octorock guy, tried to make sense
of BOTW's map with Zelda 2's map. I looked at both and found an interesting
thing.
In Z2, west hyrule the overall shape fits a nes version of BOTW using the
Gerudo highlands as Death Mountain.
I'm pretty sure it isn't, and we're actually messing around in the lower hyrule
area of that map. But they are similar, even down to where the Tingle island chain
is where the bubble cliffs and the boomerang guy with the heart container.
Then to mess with my head further, Nintendo has to put the horse god in akkala. Akkala sits in the area of parappa desert where the first palace is.
The funny thing is that the boss of that dungeon is a knight with a mace and a Horse Head!
Coincidence or Nintendo trolls?
But the other thing I saw was that the eastern side of the map in Zelda 2 was very similar to another game. It looks like a flipped version of Majora's masks map.
Only the 5th palace is on the west side now and the 8th palace is now next to maze island. Becoming the areas for the great bay and Icana.
So my thinking is that what if the zonai had a schism like the sheikah and yiga? The interlopers did something or disagreed and some went east.
Then rebuilt their kingdom using their magic or technology. Funny thing is that stone tower was built and used by ancient sorcerers and the 4th palace on maze island is full of wizzrobes.
Coincidence or Nintendo trolls?
Before I go, wether this Ganon is Mr.Dragmire or not, we've now fully killed the pig three times canonically. Like fully put the necromantic, demon summoning, curse of demise in the ground. Almost like a loose ends tied up kind of thing. But that leaves me with a question of what other loose ends are still out there.
Like where are the human stal enemies? Where are the deku scrubs? Skull kids?
Hell, why is there not ONE spider on either games? Plenty of cobwebs. No spiders.
The real question I have is, is the mask inert?
Which one do we keep finding? Child timeline's or the downfall timeline's?
You got my brain thinking better....what if some of these Zonai didn't move East, but always lived undeground...
ふむ・・・この山も最初からこのような危険な場所であったわけではない
“Hm…this mountain wasn’t originally like this. It wasn’t always such a dangerous place.
偉大なる 山の恩恵を受け 地上のものと 地下のものが 協力し 合って 暮らしていたのだ
Receiving the blessing of the great mountain, those above-ground and those below-ground cooperated and lived together.
今となってはその思い出を廃虚に残すのみだがな・・・
After all this time, only the memories and the ruins remain…”
- Eldin, Skyward Sword
Coincidence or Nintendo trolls?
The ancient Hero's Aspect makes me think about the Blue Eyed Beast that Midna presumes wolf link to be
hmmmm...thats actually a really good point. I have been interested in the marking on Wolf Links head as well... wonder what connections they share.
@@MoxieWatts this is just my brain connecting things so this could lead to nothing and I don't know if there's a map out there of the twilight realm but is it possible there's enough room in the sky above the harbingers grounds for the mirror to have been used to remove a faction of the Zonai people who perhaps didn't align with Rauru's & the Hylians beliefs (I think that Twili as a race are a mix bag by the time of TP however the base race being Zonai followed by decenting sheikah and Gerudo over the generations would make the perfect cocktail for Twili) I'm rambling now as I didn't expect to be replied to 😆
@@RespawnGod this is something Lorulean and I were quietly pondering...it is difficult to believe that Rauru would have done the banishing. He's just so deng jovial. But I am tracking with you about the twili race tho.
@@MoxieWatts you say that but, do you ever wonder how zonite is made, it's ore looks incredibly similar to luminous stone when in those wall sized clumps, luminous stone being thought to be crystallized souls of the dead, something incredibly abundant in the depths mayhaps after a time dormant Poe's (potentially claimed or unclaimed by the Barginers) crystallise into luminous stone then as minerals tend to do becomes a better version of that in the form of zonite?
@@RespawnGod yes so i was thinking maybe its like a tainted form of luminous stone, i think....banune suggested that

Hiiiii reporting hereeeee ❤❤❤
appreciate you homie!!
Is it possible that Geldmen were Gerudo in the downfall timeline that had been cursed or killed or something after the Imprisoning War between OoT and ALttP? The merge timeline could explain why they then started referring to Gerudo properly in Gerudo scrpt because in the other 2 timelines Geldmen didn't exist (from what I recall).
Not sure, what are you thinking? I am still not fully sure what is going on with the timeline. I dont have an official headcanon yet.
The sound is wack. The dude on the microphone is way to close or sumin😢. Moxieeeeee you the best
