Another great video show casing the importance of lot testing. 👏
Nice build Kenny
Thanks Kenny, the good smith works doesnt hurt either 😁
Freaking incredible. Just getting into this sport with a stock 457 Pro Varmint. Can’t wait to get to the point I can stretch the distance.
I've been into it for a while. I got a pro varmint thinking i'd need to customize the heck out of it to get it to shoot. I figured I'd put it ina chassis, get a Timney trigger and a Lilja barrel and make it a tack driver. Well I must have hit that barrel lottery cause it shoots with the big boys at my club out to 100. I don't know beyond that how it would do. fyi, i did not need the Timney either. I got the factory trigger down to a bump safe 5.5 oz with just a spring change and a lot of experinmentation with the interactions of the 3 tuning screws on the CZ trigger. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!
But in general, I think Kenny's guns and Vudoos tend to take over beyond !50 yards .
@@Jeff-mv4yy awesome to hear. A buddy pointed me in the direction of the Pro Varmint and it has been fun. Trying different ammo right now to see what she likes the best. Getting multiple groups in the .2s at 50yds. Man it’s a great little gun.
You know I love the CZ457 and watching you shoot them right. Keep up the good work.
Glad to see you back playing with the CZ 457........
just started in the 22lr... what alot of fun to be had. at this point have 2 10/22 trying to dial in. GREAT CHANNEL
I'd love to see you cerakote that barrel black and add some orange camo to the chassis. Seems fitting.
Good shooting buddy. You know I am a CZ guy. Glad you got your old gun back. Kick butt on the voodoo.
What are the odds, I was just on the phone with Kenny at desert precision, seems I have some more saving to do.
Great clip Josh and great shooting. Love the CZs they are well priced and designed. Nice custom put together.
That’s some great shooting Josh! Anything past 400 yards with a 22lr is challenging. You made some great hits out at 585 that’s pretty awesome man keep the vids coming
Thanks brother
Congratulations on getting a Kenny Gun! Glad to see you you got your old gun back, but a little surprised that you didn't leave it alone and have Kenny build you an entirely new one. Looking forward to your video at Killough Shooting Sports. That should be a good one.
Not bad at all Josh. Kenny at DP Gunworks sure knows how to build accurate rifles.
I am glad you bought that rifle back because I thought you sold an excellent rifle and with your ability it was right up there with the best.
Yeah feels good having her back
Nice shooting man. Would love to see that kidd in the mix at 585 too
Thats coming for sure. Just need to aquire a 30-50 moa base first
@@PursuitofAccuracy Sweet, looking forward to it. I've got the area 419 30moa on my kidd build (complete minus kidd receiver/supergrade tenon) and it seems solid. However, I've only got 300 yards at my range. Learned alot from your vids though, so thank you.
Great video, Josh. Looking forward to your trip to Winters.
I thought Kenny wasn't doing the barrels for the CZ action? I hope this is a sign he's changed his mind ! Nice shooting
Will only be offering new builds. Seen to much variation in action tolerances to roll the dice on guaranteed accuracy with my shop name. Im able to control quality with new actions as I can exchange with my vendors
@@EagleEyeShooting If Brandon ever quits tanking my IRA, You'll be my first phonecall to build me a rifle. You've got excellent critical thinking skills and your philosophy on gun building just makes so much sense to me. Keep at it Kenny, I love what you do.
Badass 22 Lr Rifle. Two thumbs way Up !!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video! Looking forward to the lot testing!
Very good video Josh. Thank you!
Best I’ve done with my stock 457 is 438 yards. 40% hit rate.
Great shooting.
Happy to see CZ back front and center.
Will be more content coming with the cz soon
GREAT VIDEO JOSH ... !!!! NO I WILL NOT BE THE STUNT DUMMY TO STAND AT 585 YARDS .... !!!!!!! DOUBLE G. HERE .. ! ! !
I still watch but you really need to switch to give youtube what they want and switch to rumble and then maybe set up subscribe star account. You won't make a mint but I think it will definitely help defer some of the costs you have testing equipment and sharing your results with us. Take care and good luck w/ your VuDoo
Great!!! Which chassis do you use, and which do you suggest?
@@pietromazzeo183 xlr envy pro, mdt acc premier and elite. All great options that ive used. Lot of guys love mpa chassis as well i just havent run one yet to know
The CZ fanboy in me is glad to see you back behind that gun. 585 yds.... jeeeezzz Louise. Looking forward to the Killough shoot out. (Only 3 hrs west of me.... Would like to make it out there some day.) Where can I get one of those barrel stickers? No joy on your website.
Awesome video brother!
Love the ELE content.
You have me in my own head thinking my 457 needs Vudoo friend….. What do you think? Lol
Great video Josh, nice shooting man. That CZ can shoot lights out. Love my CZ 457 custom rifle, it is very accurate.
Love to watch your videos. I would be willing to bet you have drummed up extra business for Lilja barrels and other barrel manufacturer just by your videos. I have bought 2 myself and a couple of others just to see which one is more accurate.
There are some good prefit options for sure
Wow. Amazing that a .22 is able to shoot that well at that distance. Great video.
josh is the man!!!
call it BS here are some facts 58 feet of holdover or 117 moas of elevation unless you are dropping it in like indirect fire, that scope base and scope will not adjust 117 MOA as far as being a man-size target at 600 here is the terminal ballistic at 400 16 pounds, so 600 would be significantly less so I would say I would be safe at 600
@@joesmith-tg3co what scope base do yo use? What scope, and one more thing, ever heard of hold overs on top of that stuff,?? Hmmmm let me add this up real quick ...ahhhhhh I call dumb @$$ because I don't think you can do simple math let alone dream of having the skill to make that shot ...go back to the plinksters channel and check out the newest Taurus PTbyebye
@@Picit13 I guess you do not understand how to use a ballistics calculator or even basic physics, or the simple fact that if the man really could shoot like that he could/would replicate it at an official event so it would be documented, guess you are another one who drinks his koolaide, I have some ocean front property for sale in Utah cheap
@@joesmith-tg3co haha you don't shoot do you? I see you are into ink pens ? you should stick to that, lets see your ballistics calculator results I am curious and sure Josh is also
Nice shooting. Great variety of footage on this one.
I would like to see a comparison at long distance between a 1 in 16t and a 1 in 14t to see if there is an advantage with the quicker twist. Great shooting by the way!
If there is I havent seen it. There may be theoretical improvements but your going to need to be much more concerened with sd's than twist rate with long range 22lr
Cool video josh, always fun.
Fantastic marksman. Kenny is beast. Thanks for the outstanding content
Lots of fun. What is the equivalent distance 22lr @ 587yds compared with say 6.5CM? No matter the rifle build, the velocity SD still limits possible group size as the distance increases.
For my 6.5 profile in the kestrel it would be equivalent to 2023 yards 😁🤣🤣🤣
Great video as usual Josh, it’s an honor sitting next to you in class.
Thanks brother!
Nice Shooting Josh!!
Thank you
Looking forward to the shootout. My Kidd Supergrade is awsome thanks for exposing us to such a great 10/22
Son that’s streatching it out
Good shooting.
Cool. 😮
That’s nuts man !!!!!!
Another great video
That’s some light trigger pull there boys and girls…..
Very impressive shooting Josh. Glad to see that CZ find it's way home. What MOA base are you running to help get that far out?
50 moa
Josh, awesome video! Where can i get a chassis like yours. Cheers.
Mdt's website is the best place to get em
@@PursuitofAccuracy cheers Josh!! Best regards from Luís from Brasil.
Nice tool!
Could make make a video going more in depth into the modifications of your 457 ?
Incredible!!!!
Fantastic 🙌🏻
Can you get the same accuracy shooting the CZ-USA 457 Jaguar 22LR 28.6" Threaded Bolt Rifle?? Thanks 🙂
What trigger do you have in your CZ 457?
Timney
Nice!
And do you have a video on trigger shape preference
What are the exterior weights your using?
They are the new greyops weights. Video coming soon on them
Hopefully those damn things come in stock again
Which things brother?
@@PursuitofAccuracy The barreled actions Kenny is making for the cz. Hope all is well chief.
@@matthewrezuke8130 ah yeah got ya. Yeah brother im making it. Hope your doing great
@@PursuitofAccuracy hanging in there. Times are rough
@@matthewrezuke8130 hope things get better for ya
great job buddy
Thanks brother
Josh. What type of base or scope mounts are you using? I am out of moa with my vortex venom 5x25x56 at 300 yards. My rifle has a built in 20moa base. I am guessing i need a 20moa scope mount to. I cant stand holding over. I know you use mill but figure you must have a ton of cant. Thanks
Im typically running 40-50 total moa
Hi Josh, which “Stock” CZ475 22lr is considered most accurate , want something better than my Ruger Precision Rifle, I don’t have budget for upgrades currently. Thanks, Ron in WA.
@@marinevet7273 probably the mtr
I saw a one eyed fat pirate use a barrel tuner with great succes... maybe with that you can adjust the barrel to work with a lot instead of the other way around? Or doesnt it work that way?
You cant tune sd's and ES which are just as, if not more, important at distance
I've found eley sub sonics in my cz 452 seem to group best do you use them ?
Looks like an XLR Chassis
Which scope are you running? I’m looking for a new scope that has a fine enough reticle for benchrest and would be home shooting distance as well. Thanks!
Thats the tract toric elr
Nice shooting. What is the Tract scope?
Tract toric elr
Looking to build my own. Got any recommendations on where to get parts?
Straight from kidd is where I go
Liked and subscribed. Watch every video. Even with that. This is the second time you tube does show me new videos. Suppressing speech. Smh
Thanks brother, much appreciated
Крутой аппарат.
Whats the specs on your scope and rings setup? is that a 56mm? im trying to figure out an ring setup for a 34mm tube 56mm obj lens arken EP5 looks lie this 419 rail and rings get that scope as low as it can go. what do you got?
Thats also a 56mm objective 34mm tube optic.
Be careful with rings on the bases. Some low rings will cause the mag ring to hit the base.
Medium is a safe ring height but some low rings will work
did you ever do the follow up video with the CZ 457 DPG vs Vudoo?
I did but the the raw files got messed up and i couldnt use it.
@@PursuitofAccuracy that's a bummer. hope you can do that comparison again in the future. i'm very interested in the DPG CZ 457
@@theheck123 mine has moved on but i have access to a dpg 457 still. Just got to get some other videos knocked out first
Где такой можно взять?
How do you buy some specific lots? Say if you buy online
Killough sells eley by the lot online
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Could ya get a fresh coat of paint on those targets next time? 🤗
Will try to. Its a public range and i have to stop everyone shooting to go paint.
@@PursuitofAccuracy Just givin' you some grief, Josh. Love the channel... Keep up the great work.
What rear bag are you using ?
Gamechanger pint size
Interested to see the heads up match. Although I do like and use Douglas Barrels I would not consider one as being Match Quality though. Hunting Rifle or maybe a Military Match rifle certainly and for the price they get for one now your just a few $$$ away from having a Cut Rifled and Hand Lapped Brux or Bartlein or Krieger or Muller Mac Daddy best of the best barrel or if you're into button rifled barrels I'd go with Lilja or Benchmark they are definitely best of the best in the Button Rifled category. Maybe in Rimfire or shooting lead it's a different story but look on any big Centerfire Match like the Berger Southwest Nationals etc. equipment list and there won't be one listed and unless something has changed they are not hand lapped.
The finish on the barrel was very high quality. This is a sample size of 1 but it looked great with the borescope.
I call it BS here are some facts 58 feet of holdover or 117 moas of elevation unless you are dropping it in like indirect fire, that scope base and scope will not adjust 117 MOA as far as being a man-size target at 600 here is the terminal ballistic at 400 16 pounds, so 600 would be significantly less so I would say I would be safe at 600
That scope base has 50 moa of cant between the mount and the base.
I can zero at 50 yards and dial to 500 ish yards with the tract toric and that only leaves about 8 mils of hold in the retice.
Feel free to believe what you want. This range is at the gasdsen shooting center in Iberia MO and ive shot that target with multiple 22lr prs rigs in front of dozens of people.
And also a 22lr isnt safe af all at 600 yards lol.
I mean maybe it wont penetrate very far but having put many a camera at 400-600 yards and hearing them little 40 grainers zip in and smack I wouldnt want to be the target.
@@PursuitofAccuracy I believe in facts and ballistics calculators do not make errors or at least glaring errors 16 foot pounds is nothing doubt if it would go through a jacket, you may fake people out who do not know firearms but not me
There's not much CZ in that rifle.
585 yards? Might as well be throwing rocks at that range lol.
If you can hit the ipsc 6 out of 10 times with a rock at 585 id like to sponsor you 😁😁
The shoot off is going to be awesome. My money is on the DPG/CZ.
Nice 👏
