Incredible accuracy way out at 172 yards with a little wind.
Very nice, I have thought about getting a .22 like this for a while. Now I know a good affordable option. Thanks for your video
Absolutely, sir!
love my 457 Jaguar.
Great vid, I can agree with you on the ammo. Best group so far is .3. I would say, I’ll improve with a trigger spring kit. Again, great vid.
Ebay
Great video
Excellent video. Really like my 457 Synthetic (.22LR).Nice shooting.👍🏻
Thank you!
Will the same rifle with the 16.5 inch barrel like the SK Standard Plus as well as your 24”?
Canadian prices have created a market where there is no such thing as a budget rifle or budget ammunition.
This same SK shot best out of about 14 different ammo in my Bergara B14. Bought a new 457 Varmit MTR went straight to the SK and the first 50 rounds it out shot my best group in the Bergara using this same ammo.
It’s so weird to me because it’s not even their “match” ammo, but I love it 😆
@@TheDollarSportsman it’s good stuff though. I have several bricks of it and buy it when I find it.
Straight up impressive!! Not even a 2-3k rimfire. Wow
This thing rocks 😎
yes impressive I've got the trainer model and get crazy groups don't buy anything but eley sk or lapua ammo
Nice job young man
Great shooting, but my friend, you pick the best background I ever seen on RUclips review.. great job 👏
Thanks, man :); it is indeed purdy!
I use cci standard on my CZ 452 Warmit.. dam good accurate. :)
Nice gun. I always wanted a CZ in 22 wmr .love the accuracy of that barrel .
I want to know what good juju magumbo they put in these 😆
@@TheDollarSportsman Freebie CZ 457 perhaps ? , joking but they seem to be the RUclipsrs .22 lr of choice.
Good video. i am a fellow left handed shooter and am looking at getting a CZ also. Which variant did you get?? Looks like the RH Varmint with the 20 inch barrel. i am debating between the Pro Varmint and Varmint. Really hard to find either one right now. I have seen LH Varmint version available but I like the precision of what i see from the Pro Varmint can do but has shorter barrel. Really curious about which variant you have. Thank you very much.
I picked up the version with the Boyd’s stock (24” barrel); you definitely don’t need the 24” model, though. 20” will do you plenty of good.
The 457 AT-ONE (my model) is based off the Varmint but with the suppressor ready barrel, which seems to be the primary difference between a classic varmint model and the pro (besides the stock).
I missed it what yards? Also out of the box what is the trigger pull pounds? Cz varmint?
I have a Cz 457 in factory wood stock. I will try this ammo. Thx
Nice gun, good video, but you're kinda buggering up the chamber face when you dry fire. Will eventually effect head space
CZ actually says dryfiring the 457 is fine
What's CZ 22 are you shooting, I mean what model of the 457 and how long is your barrel, is that a CZ barrel. Thank you
As a fellow Gun Tubber I love filming with my CZ 457 Pro VARMINT. Did you get demonetized on this video?
I honestly didn’t even try with this one :P; everything has been getting demonetized for me recently. Of course they can’t have safe, proper gun handling on RUclips making a profit; it goes against their Chinese overlords’ command 😅.
@TheDollarSportsman #FACTS
My latest video was about how to get a TLR-7 SUB Flashlight to fit correctly and safely to a SIG P365 XMACRO TACOPS. You need an aftermarket key from Tactical Development that goes on the Flashlight, and of course, I got demonetized. Seems like a lot more videos are getting demonetized lately. I even put up a post asking if my viewers have been seeing my content, and I got 7 like and 6 comments... I have over 3k subs.... how is that possible?
Great video. Everyone always enjoys rifle/ammo accuracy video's. I didn't catch what ballistic calculator that you used. Would you mind sharing the name? Thanks!
He was using Strelok, which you can't get anymore. But there are plenty other capable ballistic solver apps out there.
Elegy Target works well for me in a 457MTR.
hey fellow left hander.. any recommendations for air rifle bull-pup?!
Honestly the FX Impact on the high end has been excellent as a Bullpup setup :). On the budget end, I’m not sure, though. It seems like the budget side all out the levers in the buttstock instead of moving them up a bit.
My CZ 457 MTR 20" shoots best with SK Rifle Match. Sub 0.5 moa at 50 and 100 meters. I live where SK ammo is manufactured and it's becoming expensive, and difficult to get.
Yellow is ok but red is better and lapua long range is perfect also the super long range 5 in one hole
Where are you doing your shooting? It sure is beautiful scenery!
Utah Lake! :)
Checking in, I go to pick up my son's 16" AT-ONE tomorrow at our local Scheels. After Tax and $10 shipping into the store my out the door will be $854.88.
Dang 😳; man those costs have gone up a lot since I bought mine.
@@TheDollarSportsman Ya $779.99 base cost, I found a local place that does some large online business also and their website showed a much more favorable price on maybe a varmint mtr so I rushed down to their local store which is attached to the warehouse and of course it wasn't in stock. I had him get a price and the price was out of date also.
at what range were you shooting?
Initial group and KYL: 50 yards
Orange target: 145 yards
Blue long range: 172 yards
are you saying "on are tactical?" I can't find the website, thanks
R&R Tactical; it’s rrtacticaldesign.com
@@TheDollarSportsman awesome, thanks!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ive got a Green Savage in a Boyds At One Stock.from Walmart that will shoot with all of them. I also have a CZ452, a CZ457, A Ruger Precision.Good Video.,
Gotta say when it comes to Walmart guns, those are some of the best :)
I d have a hard time calling it “the best” ammo it’s decent plinking ammo compared to true match grade ammo. Stralock took the drop in inches off the SK web site without converting it to Mil, which would explain the excessive hold over number it gave.
That’s just it, though: it works as well if not better than some match ammo out of the CZ 457 specifically, which is why it’s so impressive (and for at least half the cost). Good point on the holdover, however
@@TheDollarSportsman How many 457’s do you own? How many have you shot? I have two, my wife has one and I’ve built or worked on a few dozen. As an example the MTR guns I have don’t like the Yellow box stuff. As a whole Rimfire guns don’t “ALL” like or shoot well with one ammo, that’s why you hear and read about lot testing where even different lots of the same ammo don’t necessarily shot the same size groups with different lots much less different ammo. Stretch that stuff out to 100 or 150 yards and see what you get. The way Rimfire ammo is sorted into practice, club and different match grade ammo is by how consistent it tests after being made with the same components on the same machines. Look it up it’s been discussed many times on many forums.
@@takedeadaim8671 yellow box has in fact been discussed on forums and by users of the CZ 457 many times 😎. Match ammo is great, don’t get me wrong, but it sure is great to find a less expensive ammo that works wonderfully in these rifles.
What is the barrel length? Looks like a 24"
That’s right!
@@TheDollarSportsman That sucker is a shooter for sure!!!
I can’t run through a KYL rack because magazines are unobtanium. Factory 5 rounder is all I have. Can’t find magazines to save my life.
Look up AJ Sporting goods; I recently saw them get restocked :).
@@TheDollarSportsman thank you!
Greg Cotte LLC had them Wednesday, I got four of them..
@@dave4344 I managed to score a couple 10 rounders off CZ parts website finally.
Always listed on eBay and MidwayUSA
Good job. That's how a lefty shoots a right handed bolt gun.
Thanks man :)
This right brained, left handed, left eye dominant shooter got disgusted a long time ago and refuses to waste money buying right handed guns. This technique works for bench rest, but nothing else! CZ does make the 457 in left handed!
Where are you at? Beautiful!
That is Utah Lake in the background!
I have 3 Cz guns a 17 a 22 lr and a 22 mag and they all shoot much better than that
I got a cz 455....
I almost went that route but saw the 457 was out :)
It depends on the lot#.
