I’m so glad I finally found someone which uses Australian brands, I still can’t believe people prefer overseas sunscreens when Australia has the best regulations and formulas!! Great video. There are so many bad products out there and this is very informative. Another fantastic option is Mecca’s To Save Face SPF50+ Superscreen Oxybenzone Free Formula. It soaks into the skin quickly, has no bad smell or white cast, isn’t greasy and is beautiful under makeup!
Ultra Violette Supreme Screen is honestly my favourite, I’ve never found a sunscreen that didn’t make me itchy, patchy and uncomfortable until I found UV.
Fantastic, informative video! I can’t wait to spend over thirty minutes staring at the skincare aisle at Chemist Warehouse, and hoarding back all your wonderful recommendations!
I wanted to talk about littllextra riceberry sunscreen, it's fantastic. I applied it on my face and neck. My skin is very dry, previously flaky and white, and even if I moved my finger over my skin. But now, I no longer experience any such issues. My skin is now very soft and smooth, even my itching of my skin is gone away. The face looks radiant when paired with the riceberry face serum. My cousin, who visited after a few months yesterday, even complimented me.
This was so helpful! I’m usually an Asian sunscreen girl because the formulas in Japan and Korea have always been much more elegant and affordable but after watching your video I’m definitely gonna branch out and try some more local brands like Sunsense and Bondi Sands! Would make my life easier being able to just grab it during my Chemist Warehouse run haha
Thanks for watching! I'm yet to try Asian sunscreens, I hear amazing things! Yea its definitely good to know we have some good options on our market as well.
This video is dreams coming true!! Have been trying to find the perfect sunscreen for myself for over a year now and I think this video has it all. Thank you for this❤
Hmm... Aussie sunscreens how can you leave out Mecca’s to save face. I used that easily for over 10 years. New favourite is the Ultraviolet lean screen for my oily skin
I had a bad experience with it a year ago and only recently tried it again since they reformulated it. I have a review on my instagram and will be including it in my next sunscreen video :)
Came here from TikTok! I love the ultra Violette supreme screen it’s my go to daily sunscreen glad to know that it gets the thumbs up from you! New subscriber here!
Thank you soo much for your help. I was using the Skinsitute one for years and it kept leaving my face clogged and reading reviews isn't the same as first hand experience like yours in a video. Excellent job !
how have I only just found your channel after hours of researching sunscreens and only getting recommended stuff from overseas that isn't even sold here
Today l have appointment with skin specialist so he recommended me Sunsense Sunscreen as my skin is sensitive. I told him it is cheap and l can buy from Chemist warehouse but he said don’t look to the price and brand, we are dermatologists and we are seeking for ingredients so Sunsense is one of the best one in Australia 🇦🇺 😊 I bought it and already applied two times ohhhhhhh my god its quality is equal to korean expensive ones that l bought always. Price is good as well. You should try really 😊
people are sleeping on bondi sands' sunscreens AAHHH so glad you reviewed them bc I SWEAR by their entire SPF range (I've never tried their tanning products lol!)
I second UV Supreme Screen, I really hated wearing sunscreen on my face before this beauty...onto my 6th tube! I use it as my moisturiser/primer/spf in the mornings. It also reapplies over makeup well if you gently pat it in. Worth every cent.
Nice video, I like reviews like this, not too preachy or fear mongering about the fragrance or certain filters, but focusing on the result and you disclose your skin type, which helps the viewer to adjust to their needs and what they search for in their spf ... I did notice something with the videos in which you apply the spf - you have gorgeous eyes, but you often skip or underapply the spf on you eyelids, so I say this with the best intentions, don't skip your eyelids.
Thanks for watching! Yes I'm over the fear mongering tbh I'm happy to hear I'm not contributing to that haha. Oh thank you! I definitely take care to apply spf on the eyelids on the daily but I may have been rushing and skipped that when filming these try ons vids haha. My bad 😅
You have to try 2xp from chemist warehouse, I use the hydrate one on my face but they make specific ones for your face, and they're honestly amazing fragrance free and all that!!!
Thank you for sharing those brands in Australia, as I used Japan Biore UV and want to change for a new brand, but I still love to use this when it is in the winter but not summer in SA.
You should talk Bout the ingredients too. The reason I don't buy some sunscreens is because of the ingredient list- that's the first thing I look at and assume most people look at too. However, I do appreciate the effort you put into this video together.
Thanks for watching! Hmm perhaps in my next sunscreen video I might touch on it. It gets very subjective and personal with ingredients. My main intention here is to address the usability and comfort of the sunscreen rather than ingredients. That way I can help narrow down people's choices a little and from there if they have any sensitivities or preferences they can have a look for themselves. I hope that makes sense.
I’m so happy I found you! I’ve recently been starting to get into skincare now that I’ve had my son and my skin is really changing. I know I’m supposed to wear sunscreen every day but I always think to that gloopy stuff we wore at the beach that would stick to everything. Living in Australia means I need advice about what’s on the market to us, thank you 😊
definitely like Cancer Council and LRP for sunscreen and completely agree about neutrogena and stinging - had to use it up on my arms will stick with cancer council except I was hanging around YesStyle and my new pyungkangYul sunscreen (finally) arrived......(all spf50 of course)
thank you so much! I have been looking for a vid on affordable Australian recommendations for ages!! It's difficult because a lot of the American channels give great recs but they're always difficult to find down here
Thanks for watching! Yess agreed that's my main motivation behind my content haha we need more Aussies in the skincare space. Glad my video could help!
I bought the La Roche Posay Anthelios with the blue packaging from your recommendation! I'm very impressed and thankful for you!!! saving my skin this summer. AND YES you should be getting paid for this!
Wow!!! Thank you!! This is the best review of Aussie sunscreen ever!! I also think it’s the ONLY comprehensive video on this seriously important topic 💕
As someone who lives on the coast near the qld border, who’s pale, who’s darkest tan is your natural skin colour, who has sensitive skin, (edited to add, I love a glow and moisture), Bondi sands is my go-to 100% recommended love of my life every day sunscreen lol
Great video. I stumbled across this today and it so good to see an Aussie talking about Australian products (or at least products easily found in Australia). I've tried lots but Natio is by far my fave 🙂.
Thank you SO much for this!! I am on a medication for acne that makes me very photosensitive to the sun. Not good with Aussie sun ;-;. Add in English/Scandinavian/Scottish/white af heritage aka skin and sun do not Vibe™ , sunscreen is VERY necessary for me. However, I'm autistic (so have sensory hypersensitivity disorder) so finding a sunscreen that won't make me want to immediately wash it off is hard. The ones that leave a white cast that doesn't go away especially are yick sensory wise, so that info is really good to have. So basically this was VERY EXTREMELY HELPFUL SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching! I'm so glad my video could help you out! If you want the most undetectable sunscreen that basically disappears on application then I reckon you'll enjoy the LRP Invisible Fluid.
This video popped up right when I needed it! Was thinking today about what new sun cream to buy after trying the neutrogena and la Roche posey (that was a disaster). So hard to find RUclipsrs that use Aussie products! And you are so beautiful and friendly
I have oily skin so sunscreen was once a nightmare for me. I have combination skin and started using nutrogena hydro boost SPF 50. I apply quite a generous amount after cleansing and toning and let it sink it for about 15 minutes. Afterwards I apply moisturiser and then lightly brush over translucent powder. The sunscreen is a great base and hydrates, add a dewy shine and somehow minimisers my pores! Oily skin people, Wayne Goss talks how to keep your foundation in place all day so not wearing sunscreen is no longer an excuse! I also tried a couple of Ultra Violet sunscreens but I hated all of them for how greasy they made me feel no matter what I did!
Australian sunscreens will always be my preferred choice due to the regulations! Loved this video and I had the exact same opinions as you! The Avene pilled soooo bad! Ultra Violette Queen Screen is my FAVE🧡
Oh no...I use the Cetaphil and don’t mind it at all. I do get what you mean though...I’m fair skinned and it does have a white cast on application, but it dries down after a while and on my combo/dry skin it’s quite nice after it’s fully dried, and the white cast reduces quite considerably. It doesn’t have that horrible grey white cast. I use it because it was recommended by my doctor because of it’s great protection. It has great UVA protection and in my experience many other sunscreens with this many filters have alcohol which irritates my rosacea prone skin. But thank you for reviewing all these sunscreens.
Thank you so much. I have an oily skin and i have wasted a lot of money of these sunscreens. Even if the product desc says its suitable for oily skin , it does not … i am so glad i found your video. Some great recommendations. May Allah bless you sister .
Thank you so much for making this video, you have no idea how much this has helped me. As a person with fairly dark, oily and acne prone skin, it has been very hard for me trying to find the right sunscreen. I used the Cetaphil one, and like you said, it was so bad it made me stop wanting to wear sunscreen. Chemist has a sale and free shipping delivery right now, so I will be buying many that were in your top mentions. Once again, thank you!!!
Oh man I'm so happy to hear that!! I hope you find that one ideal sunscreen!! And I also have another sunscreen review video that I posted recently in case you wanted some more options to choose from hahah ❤️
Ok so long story short with that Mecca sunscreen. Id used it back in 2019 and had a bad experience. But after filming this video here I actually decided to revisit it since so many mentioned it in the comments. I tried it again (the reformulated one) and loved it. I intend to make a sequel of this video and will include the Mecca spf in there. I have to say I still prefer Supreme tho haha ☺️
Love this video review. Finding an Aussie location / chemist warehouse / supermarket affordable product review video is amazing. I have been buying and testing sunscreens out myself finding it frustrating to find the right one. Sooo glad I watched this review as it's saving me so much time and money, with all the facts I wonder myself about the sunscreens (white cast, thickness, greasiness, does it sink it, ball up etc etc). Love that I can see the application cause really that's the ultimate test once its applied to a full face and not just on the hand testing in stores. Love the ranking system too ❤️
Thanks for watching Niki! I'm glad you found it useful. Definitely can be frustrating to find the right products without wasting too much money i'm happy I could help ❤️
I hate greasy sunscreens. Loving the Bondi sands. The only thing I would say about greasy sunscreens is if you're spending the day at the beach or a pool greasy is good. It just sticks to your skin for longer.
I’m so glad this fell into my recommended videos! I’ve become such a sunscreen hoarder because there aren’t many videos like this 😅 I literally have an excel spreadsheet of the sunscreens I like hahahaha. Subscribed and going to go and binge watch more of your vids!
Amazing straightforward review, thank you so much! I have the Neutrogena Hydro Boost but it stung my eye so bad so I only use it on my neck area (or areas below my chin) now. I really love La Roche Posay Anthelios though. Hoping to try out the Ultra Violette soon!
I'm extremely fair, and I LOVE the Skinstitut one. I use it as a foundation, and it as I have dry skin, it nourishes my skin so well. If you aren't really fair I can see how it would not work well at all.
This is a major commitment on your behalf. Thank you for doing the hard work and trying them all. I settled on azclear after burning my face-off with Neutrogena and have never looked back. Will have to check out your other spf 50 recommendations !
This has been so helpful!! Love that you specifically tailored this to Aussie viewers. Also pleased that you also loved the Ultraviolette Screen Queen and LRP Invisible Anthelios! Have you tried the Mecca branded sunscreen? I've only tried a travel sample of the Screen Queen though and found the dropper to be a bit loose/annoying (so much product got left over in the bottom considering $ per ml) - is it easier to use up in the full size?
Thanks for watching! Yes I tried the Mecca one after filming this. I like it and I've got a little review on my Instagram. I didn't have any issues with the full size dropper actually. Smaller bottles can be a bit finicky sometimes haha.
i dont like the LRP shaka one. the alcohol dries me over time and causes irritation on my face. It also doesn''t work under make up for me. Good review. Iwill try bondi sand becuase it does not have alcohol as top ingredient.
Yea that LRP works very well for more oily or combo skin, not the best on drier skin. Bondi sands is great under makeup and is very moisturising I hope you enjoy it!
What’s the difference between the Face version of the Bondi Sands one and the general one? Cause I’ve been using the general one on my face and am running out, and am wondering whether to repurchase the face version.
@@raziamoe thanks! But I meant in terms of the same product range (Fragrance free spf 50+), but the one specifically called out as Face, and one that is a generic body one. Seems like they both have the same ingredients, so I was wondering whether you tried them and can spot any differences

Thanks for watching! That's what I'm here for xx
I’m so happy to find a fellow dry acne prone skin gal, following ✨
Hamilton Face sunscreen is the best! Especially when it is on sale for $7 at Chemist Warehouse
I've got that one on the list! Will be trying it soon and include it in my next sunscreen video!
Thanks for watching! Yes I tried that one after filming this. I have a review on my instagram, really enjoyed that one!
Ultra Violette Supreme Screen is honestly my favourite, I’ve never found a sunscreen that didn’t make me itchy, patchy and uncomfortable until I found UV.
Its so so good right! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for making this! I found it really informative and I’m more confident in picking what will be good for me
No problem! Thanks so much for watching, so glad I could help 💕💕
thank you for taking a time and shoot all those sunscreens applied to the skin
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The La Roche sunscreen is the absolute best! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video 🥰
Thanks for watching! Yes it's so good!
Gave be breakout this one
Fantastic, informative video! I can’t wait to spend over thirty minutes staring at the skincare aisle at Chemist Warehouse, and hoarding back all your wonderful recommendations!
Thanks for watching! Hahah happy shopping :)
I wouldn't use Asian sunscreens in Australia. Forget about 'elegance'. Use one that is right for our weather conditions.
@@raziamoehi dear, Jesus is Lord and savior he loves you without Jesus you will be throw in hell fire 🔥
Great video!! Don't forget to use sunscreen on your eyelids as well most people don't think about them when applying sunscreen
Thanks for watching! Yes of course can't skip the eyelids!
Thank you for making a vid on Aussie sunscreens. Appreciate it!
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Came here for this comment because Omg the new oxybenzoate free one is literally the only sunscreen that won’t give me an allergic reaction
Came here from TikTok! I love the ultra Violette supreme screen it’s my go to daily sunscreen glad to know that it gets the thumbs up from you! New subscriber here!
Hey thanks so much for watching and for subscribing! Oh yes that one is just perfect!
Make sure you cut the tube open when you get to the end, there'll be a bunch more inside!
@@dianne10111 omg yes that’s the best hack!
i walked into work once with the cetaphil sunscreen on, one layer, and my manager looked at me and asked why i looked like a ghost 😭 never again
Thank you soo much for your help. I was using the Skinsitute one for years and it kept leaving my face clogged and reading reviews isn't the same as first hand experience like yours in a video. Excellent job !
Thanks for watching! Ahh that sucks! Yeaaa that one didn't work for me at all haha. Glad you enjoyed the vid ❤️
how have I only just found your channel after hours of researching sunscreens and only getting recommended stuff from overseas that isn't even sold here
Thanks for watching! Hahah its such a struggle no one talks about Aussie products!
Same here
Today l have appointment with skin specialist so he recommended me Sunsense Sunscreen as my skin is sensitive. I told him it is cheap and l can buy from Chemist warehouse but he said don’t look to the price and brand, we are dermatologists and we are seeking for ingredients so Sunsense is one of the best one in Australia 🇦🇺 😊
I bought it and already applied two times ohhhhhhh my god its quality is equal to korean expensive ones that l bought always. Price is good as well. You should try really 😊
people are sleeping on bondi sands' sunscreens AAHHH so glad you reviewed them bc I SWEAR by their entire SPF range (I've never tried their tanning products lol!)
Yess I'm soo surprised by them!! They're so good! Hahaha same I don't tan so never thought to look in their direction lol
Yes for the cancer council one, it's my holy grail! So affordable and can be bought literally anywhere
Yess its a good one for sure!
What minute
Cancer council blue version?
@@shabnamshafaee5855 The invisible matte, white tube with pink. Will try the water resistant version next though.
Late reply I know lol but do you also use moisturiser underneath the cancer council invisible sunscreen?
I second UV Supreme Screen, I really hated wearing sunscreen on my face before this beauty...onto my 6th tube! I use it as my moisturiser/primer/spf in the mornings. It also reapplies over makeup well if you gently pat it in. Worth every cent.
Soo good I love it! Definitely worth it. Thanks for watching!
Love love love Bondi Sands tinted - even on oily skin the regular (non matte) is a dream. Doesn't break me out! A bargain too!!
This is the best recommendation i get from RUclips
Thanks so much for watching 😄
Ohh never heard of that one! Will definitely check it out thanks!
Thank you for sharing those brands in Australia, as I used Japan Biore UV and want to change for a new brand, but I still love to use this when it is in the winter but not summer in SA.
This is so great and so relevant! I have been waiting for an Aussie skincare RUclipsr who reviews Aussie brands! You are a great Australian! 😁🇦🇺
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Living in Australia means I need advice about what’s on the market to us, thank you 😊
Thanks for watching! Yes I felt the same way about sunscreen until quite recently! Its good to know we have some good options on the market :)
definitely like Cancer Council and LRP for sunscreen and completely agree about neutrogena and stinging - had to use it up on my arms will stick with cancer council except I was hanging around YesStyle and my new pyungkangYul sunscreen (finally) arrived......(all spf50 of course)
Haha right I gave the neutrogena to my brother he used it up at the beach ahah. Ohh I'm yet to try Korean sunscreens they all sound so good.
thank you so much!
I'm so happy to hear that! Thanks for watching! Haha yess hopefully soon let's hope 2021 brings some of that $$$ in loll
Thank you - your review was so thorough. This is the first time I have found your videos. I’ve subscribed - I can’t wait for more.
Thanks for watching! So happy to have you here 😊
Wow!!! Thank you!! This is the best review of Aussie sunscreen ever!! I also think it’s the ONLY comprehensive video on this seriously important topic 💕
Thanks for watching! Such high praise I appreciate it! Yes definitely so important! I'm glad you enjoyed the video💕 💕
Finally an Australian skincare channel
Yasss haha thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! Ohh yes I hear good things about the Natio one, I'll be reviewing it in my next sunscreen video!
My first sunscreen that I used was also SunSense! Thanks for the video! Finally found an Aussie Skin care RUclipsr
Thanks for watching! Yess love sunsense!
Thanks for watching and thank you for your kind words xx
Omg how’d you know I needed this video
Hahah thanks for watching! I think we all needed a video like this, its a struggle picking a sunscreen theres too much to choose from lol
Thanks for watching! Yes love our sunscreens!
Cetaphil has basically the same filters as the La Roche Posay, but LRP sadly burns my face and irritates my rosacea.
You popped up on my fyp and I am so stoked to have found you! You’ve helped me narrow down my search for my fave sunscreen! Thanks for this video 💛
Im so glad you enjoyed this video and it helped you out! Thanks for watching 💛
Love that so many of your faves don't test on animals! I'll definitely be looking into a few of these 🥰
Thanks for watching!
New subbie from a fellow Ozzie. Loved this video and so happy I can follow someone where I can easily locate products in Australia. Thank you x
Thanks for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
I definitely agree with your choices here but disappointed not to see the Mecca 50+ spf! I feel like it knocks supreme screen out the park :O
Hahaha yesss another sunscreen hoarder! I've got a list going as well because I'm planning a part 2! Too many options to try lol. Thanks for watching!
Amazing straightforward review, thank you so much!
I have the Neutrogena Hydro Boost but it stung my eye so bad so I only use it on my neck area (or areas below my chin) now. I really love La Roche Posay Anthelios though. Hoping to try out the Ultra Violette soon!
Thanks for watching! Oh man the Neutrogena eye sting is no joke! Oh yes UV sunscreens are amazing, must try :)
I'm extremely fair, and I LOVE the Skinstitut one. I use it as a foundation, and it as I have dry skin, it nourishes my skin so well. If you aren't really fair I can see how it would not work well at all.
Loved this, very informative thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching! 💛💛
This is a major commitment on your behalf. Thank you for doing the hard work and trying them all. I settled on azclear after burning my face-off with Neutrogena and have never looked back. Will have to check out your other spf 50 recommendations !
Thanks for watching! Yes I love the Azclear its so nice to use!
The one in the white bottle is slightly thicker than the hydra. Its also water resistant whereas the Hydra spf is not. Hope this helps!
@@raziamoe thanks! But I meant in terms of the same product range (Fragrance free spf 50+), but the one specifically called out as Face, and one that is a generic body one. Seems like they both have the same ingredients, so I was wondering whether you tried them and can spot any differences
