The most clear and easy to follow tutorial on War in the East 2 on RUclips (and very helpfull also for better understanding the other Grigsby games). Thanks ! Great effort, great result !
You are a machine Mr Dojo!! Pumping out fantastic content faster than I can get to watch it. I also noted you got an honourable mention today in Slitherine's Tea Time stream for all your fine work. Well done sir.
Just bought my copy and despite my experience playing this type of monster game (Second Front, War in Russia, War in the East-West etc) I’m liking your tutorial videos Sir. Much appreciated and looking forward to more.
I want to thank you very much for this tutorial series. It is a must for the beginner and the advanced. They are very teaching and fun. . I’ve seen them all and learned a lot. I’ve made good progress in the scenarios and now it’s time for the big campaign. Grüße aus Deutschland und Vielen Dank! Jetzt muss ich aber schnell zurück an die Ostfront... :)
Can't wait until you cover air directives because I have no idea how to do anything there except try not to hit the "clear air directives" button after the AI sets it.
Hey Dojo....I remember in one of your WITE vids you were talking about changing your Army color (2nd Army) because it was so close to the color of another Army. I figured out how to change it. On the Army counter info, I think in the Supply section, there is a "Set Color" button. You check on it and a box comes up to set a number between 0 and 250. You have to click on a number once for Red, Blue and I think Green and then the Army counters change color. You have to play around with it to get the color you want but you can change the color. I think it will be the same in WITE2.
just bought the game a few minutes ago on the steam sale, and I am excited! I have War in the East 1, and I still haven't mastered the German side, but I am pumped for this War in the East 2
Fantastic video my friend … you have a great skill being able to break down complexities… I know you said you love the Gary Grigsby’s games.... would you consider doing some tutorials on the older game Gary Grigsby’s world at war a world divided? I know it is more simplistic than other titles... just thought it would be great to get some tutorials for that... also, can you do more tutorials on War in the West??... I love the first one you did. Thanks so much for all your hard work.
"Some may think this is take too much time to learn." Tutorial playlist with 18 videos, most of them over 30 min, some closer to 60, yep, totally not (too) long to learn.
As somebody who loves RTS games and games like HOI4, I find this game extraordinarily intimidating. But as a WW2 history buff, I’m dying to play it. Is it worth getting into? And for what reasons?
Hello SJD, thanks for the great tutorials! I have noticed while watching that your GUI seems smaller around the edges of the screen than mine, giving you more room to see the map. How do you do that? I have Windows 10 with standard 1920 X 1080 resolution.
Hey could you consider explaining graviteam tactics mius front? It doesn't make any sense to me and I just got most of the dlc in a sale but its just utterly incomprehensible.
Do you have any videos on play the Russians specifically how it works when you get new reinforcements they start with very little strength but seem to build up and are there certain things to know about assigning them to Armys or Corps?

Everyone getting into this game knows about the german army groups and have at least some basic understanding of what divisions, regiments and battalions are. I think you could've sped up the introduction a bit here. :)
@luke bennellick game has no economy module, no technology one as well I think. How is that realistic? A good WW2 simulator would give more options. No battle simulation can mimic the human factor. A 70 euro game should have the TW graphics and hearts of Iron complexity to be worth the money
@@cipyradutza This game doesn't involve technology because you aren't an engineer, you are a front commander. Also, this vastly more complex than HoI4 and also significantly more complex than HoI3. I also got it on sale for 50 dollars.
@@againsttheleftandright4065 I was talking about HOI2, or more exactly the game developed from it, Darkest Hour. You say the best WW2 simulator shouldn't have economic and technology module? Allies won the war by outproducing Germany, also having better equipment than the enemy is a very important factor. How can you get better equipment without research. As for the price again you didn't got my meaning, the price should be influenced by production costs, I got Assassin's creed Valhalla for 20 euros on sale and Ubisoft had a far bigger team to be able to create that game. How can you say a 2d game should be more expensive than that?
You know it's a Gary Grigsby's game when the "basic tutorial" is 15 videos long and each episode is 30+ minutes.
These videos are a national treasure. Between you and Historical Gamer, this game is actually pretty approachable.

Thank you SGD.
Another great game and a great start to the tutorial series.
When can we expect part 2?

Very Well Explained. I am watching all the tutorials before playing this Beast!

Good to know. Pop into chat and we'll go through it
Such a large comprehensive game, thanks for the great tutorial

Is this correct? To get the enhanced player TB Control i need to uncheck this box? Makes more sense to check them to get the full control.
Good catch. Sometimes the lips are talking and the brain is walking. I'll correct that part
Good job with this tutorial !
Just bought the game
12 hour long basic tutorial is crazy
Can you please use the yt bookmarks so we can quickly switch to sections we have problems with
Superb explanation
Thank you dude so much for this. It helped a lot!
A Big thank you man!
Do you know if there is a option to increase the zoom even more? Perhaps a mod? I'd like to zoom further in on units.
All I want to know is where is the button I hit to automatically fix the entire Soviet command structure on turn 1.

Of all the Gary Grigsby games, how would you rate War in the East 2?

So is GGWitE 2 a big change compared to GGWitE?

You can put this on 1.5x and it sounds normal. Man you are talking so slowly
Was looking at the game with quite interest... but 12.5 hours of "basic tutorial" 😂😂😂 with two small kids, I ain't got the time for that

PleASE PLease PLEASE start the Russians Startup! your doing a great job but there all doing the Germans! Tigercub!
The game is 70 euros. There are better ww2 games then this and a lot cheaper. Wtf?
@luke bennellick It's 2d game. wtf are you talking about?

It's not a game about production or science.
