You’re totally right! Forgot about that soundtrack. A lot of stuff on SNES actually has great bass lines, maybe because of the composing limitations of the hardware? And I’m sure they had inspiration from pop music in the 80s & 90s!

Great list! Though my personal favorite is Yggdrasil from Xenoblade 2, because the bass is allowed to be the melodic lead.
