At Level 20. Well. Guess I’ll riot. Either way, scary build regardless.
What gets me though is that every single con to this build is still absolutely perfectly in character for him! His AC is indeed low, he preferred to just soak up the lion claws instead of dodging them. Being prone to grapple is exactly what got him sealed off in the first place, and having to constantly focus his powers is why he didn't kill the Briggs rescue party in the tunnel when he heard Riza come in!

@@burtmillard9196 Yeah, I think Fathomless would also work with their tentacle (and they get that spell). The only feature that doesn't fit Pride there is Fathomless Plunge.
...Okay, the fact you actually have a point about Pride being similar to the Powerpuff Girls means it's actually arguable that they (and by extension the Rowdyruff Boys) could be classified as Homunculi and that just kinda broke me for a bit.
Does that mean Mojo Jojo similar to Nina? An animal and human mixture?
I understand Mojo might just have a high intelligence, but it feels fitting that he's a mixture of human and monkey instead of just a super genius monkey.

Scarily powered murder children are my favorite kind of villains. Hard to do more than once as a surprise but is fun.
Jokingly thought of combat encounter of sending out Pride and Death. So much fear all around, would be a spooky time.

Ever since your first FMA video, I always wondered if/how you were going to make Pride work. A few hundred videos later, and you never cease to amaze
Can’t believe I never really thought about how the powerpuff girls are homunculus until now.
I would actually argue against darkvision for Pride as people turning off the light was kind of his one weakness in FMA. I guess that would be the way to translate that to DnD?
It still works. He can see in the dark(or rather smell thanks to consuming gluttony), he just can't fight in the dark.
Love this build and how viable it is. Can't wait to use this against some players looking into the mystery behind their home country.

Great work as always. Finding you was one of the best things to happen to me, it's really opened my eyes to what things could be with character creation. Especially reflavoring spells and magic as technology.
Would love to see you do a build for Kazuma the Shell Bullet from the anime S-Cry-ed. And for extra challenge don't use 18+ levels of Astral Monk.
I had the idea to use Armorer 3/Eldritch Knight 11/ Bladesinger 6. Int doesn't really suite Kazuma, but I feel like the Psi Knight shows the Int can just be mind power, not smarts. And Alter space is like the Astral sea. For race, Radiant Soul Aasimar. Max out Int and Dex. Use haste, bladesong, and Radiant soul for 2nd and 3rd forms
You should do Cosmo or Wanda from the fairly odd parents!

I'm surprised you went with Undead Patron and not Fathomless. Sure, the Patron itself isn't the best fit, but a Bonus Action Tentacle that slows down enemies, hurts them, and can defend you from attacks? That's Pride all the way.
That may be true, but that's one subclass feature that fits vs. several the Undead offers. And although he didn't recommend this spell, Hunger of Hadar is a good enough stand-in for Black Tentacles. They accomplish similar things, have tendrils, and actually involves otherworldly darkness.
Man, what is it with shadow-wielders and this class, btw? First Tokoyami, now this. Must be something in the water at Hot Topic.
Major issue is breathing underwater, communicating with ocean life and teleporting through bodies of water isn’t things that pride *does*
At the time I made my comment, I was only at the second level of Warlock. Undead is absolutely a better fit for straight-class Warlock, but I was expecting Sorcerer to be the "bread and butter" of the build.
I would of made them a shadow sorcerer myself honestly.
If only you could multiclass into the class you already are.

Pride is yet another of the homunculus created by "Father", "the first and strongest among them" he would boast, hiding in the guise of Selim Bradley he owns immense arrogance akin to his creator that drive him to look down on humans. With such prideful act would be ironic if the humans he see as dirt would be what keep him alive, even worst if the shortest among many would be the very end of him.
