Canucks Fire Tom Renney, Hire Mike Keenan 1997

Fall of 1997, the beginning of the Messier error, the Canucks signed Messier, got out of the gate horribly, while Messier was in "protest mode" allegedly said by Tom Renney because Messier had asked for personell changes after his 3rd game of the season, and in usual Pat Quinn fashion, Quinn was being patient, waiting for results. Instead he got fired, and Renney followed him out the door almost immediately after. Enter Mike Keenan.
