Thanks for video. So glad to learn about new and useful products. Likely a 1/4 qt of oil left in the pan to contaminate the new oil? Suggest running a quart of new oil down into the pan and out after old oil drianed...might be shocked at how dirty the "new" oil is coming out the pan.
That’s brilliant. I’m currently changing oil earlier than needed due to my high idle time offroading, I’m excited to also start running 1/4 qt, what comes out will be very satisfying and functional. Thank you for the great recommendation.
Holy moly dude your stuff's too tight might want to get a repair manual and check your torque specs. Needing your foot to take off a plastic oil filter housing is too damn tight You're going to break it one day.
Agreed. I told myself it was the angle lol. Oddly my first time changing it after the dealership I needed a breaker bar to help. I went lighter last time and now even lighter this time around. I’ll get it smooth soon (without breaking the housing I hope). Thanks for watching.
@@AdventureSquadOverland grab a cheap torque wrench for harbor freight and use that before you end up with expensive repairs my dude. You also don't want to go too light.
Also your oil looked a little too dark. Are you doing the Toyota recommended 10k interval? If so stop that, you should really be doing the old 5k. 10k is enough to ensure you don't have oil consumption issues before the warranty is out and that's about it.
@@rushthezeppelin thanks for noticing. I stopped the 10k a few changes back. This was 7.5k. Next one will be at 5K after seeing the oil, which I’m at right now and plan to change tomorrow. Also I wheel my truck a lot, so lots of idleing and with the regear I run higher RPMs so 5k I’m hoping is the sweet spot.
