Damn people still run a front sway bar? Took that shit off years ago
😂 usually the easy trails bc I’m heavy. Waaaaaaay better without tho lol. What vehicle u riding?
@ 2nd gen taco kings, 35s etc. My rig is pretty light tho because I’m not running a bunch of extra overlander gear. Seriously tho once you delete your sway you will never go back.
awesome video and indeed epic adventure!!! excellent narrations
Thanks for taking us into the mountain!!!
awesome vids and epic adventures
You’re awesome!
this is great thx
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
I've had the fumoto on numerous vehicles over the years and they've been great. If you worry that something could hit the valve and damage it, well, you should worry about running over something that big in the first place. Not saying that its not possible, but the chances are super low that your oil pan/drain will ever come in contact with onjects
What was the price for these new BJ?
Great video! After installing the axle, where and what type of fluid you added to the axle? I leaked some fluid and made me wondered if it needed to be topped off.
There should be 2 bolts in the diff that do not mount anything. Usually they are a different color from the rest. The top one is the fill. Man I wish I added that in the video.
@@AdventureSquadOverland Thank you for the info.
I meant to ask you; do you have to get an alignment after installing the new CV Axles?
@@AdventureSquadOverland I meant to ask you; do you have to get an alignment after installing the new CV Axles?
@@mmunoz5875nope :)
are part numbers the same for 8" and 8.75" rear ends?
Yes
What kind of lights are those on top of the cab?? I like
Baja designs LP4
@@AdventureSquadOverlandThank you!
Have you all thought that original plug is magnetized for a reason. It attracts metal particles that can harm tmit if not removed by it
I have an external magnet on the bottom of the pan.
How far out of spec was the alignment after install?
Far enough to get alignment. Better than I thought tho.
I’ll tell you something true, but hard to believe. I get 23 MPG on my 2020 TRD off-road, at 70 MPG, and I have about the same lift, on 33’s… but I put 5.29 gears under it. Seriously. No more gear hunting. And of course, yes, it’s ‘spicy’ to drive now. The gear hunting was driving me crazy.
How much are you getting after 5.29? Your highway economy will drop a lot.
@ Yes, I was prepared for and expecting a drop in MPG. Was surprised at the increase. My only guess is that instead of all the damn gear hunting, zooming from 1700 RPM up to 3,000 and back and forth and back and forth. She sits at just over 2,000 rpms at 70. And acceleration is way easier at lower revs…. The driving experience is much improved. When i drop the hammer she runs like a scalded ape. And in 4L, it’s hilariously slow. As in, get out and walk next to the truck slow, and it’ll just about idle up most obstacles. It now has the torque feeling that my 2nd gen Taco had with the 4.0L. Cant recommend 5.29s enough. Might not be for everybody as it’s expensive but, for me, it’s the mod that convinced me to keep it. Don’t get me wrong, if i drive it hard it’ll chew rubber off my Falken WP tires and guzzle gas like popeye munching on spinach. But cruise control set at 65 she does get 23+, 70 is still low 20’s. 80? Ya, not so much…. But she stays at a constant speed no matter where I set it, unlike when I had the stock gears on it…. It would loose so much speed on the hills before it’d drop gear(s) and pick up speed, only to slow 5-10 MPH before repeating the process. I also have a tune, it’s a “D3 performance “? Something like that…. Comes with a screen to monitor engine and transmission data. Hand to god, 23 MPG on the highway with 5.29’s.
i noticed you have the TRD sport. Do you have a rear locker installed to do all the trails you do?
Sure do. I regeared to 5.29. I also added front and rear harop Eaton e locker. If I could go back I would only do rear locker and something like 4.88. Also a spacer on driveshaft carrier bearing if you do a lift of 2” or more.
The real question is: can I do this with a trailer?
Depends on the trailer, small off-road high clearance one I think so.
One thing I can’t stand is a gatekeeper 😒 like people that go great lengths like I do, wouldn’t trash the place.thanks to awesome RUclipsrs that have shared their spots I’ve been able to experience so many places.great video but 👎🏼 for not sharing.
I wasn’t able to share but I left everyone with breadcrumbs to easily follow with some effort on google 😅 plus if you’ve seen my videos u will see I’m a big sharer. I understand, I was and still am there. I’ll make it up next video.
@ I’ll be watching u 😁
@ 🙏🏼🥳
Oh GREAT!!! You used an impact on the nut!!!!! Over torqued now you will need to replace that wheel bearing pretty soon!!!!! Rookie mistake!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅
😅I’m an impact junkie. I didn’t get it all the way on tho, used the torque wrench for that.
Did it require any trimming or cutting of the body?
Non just license plate wiring
@ approximately how much is the weight of the new bumper?
@@237311I think 100 lbs ish.
I ended up getting the "EZ" brand but haven’t installed it yet. Do you think I should get the fumoto?
As long as the metal is high quality it should be ok. These look like very easy to manufacture parts.
looks like fix it angels house
As soon as you drove your truck in Salt water I was done with this video
😂
Do i need to replace the hoses on 2 inch lift?
Yes I would, or at the very least a relocation bracket. Thanks for watching
What’s up man I have a 4th. Gen Tacoma can I meet up with you guys I live in north Merced ?
Awesome man! Pm us on ig! Do u like to hit the trails in winter too?
What a camp spot
Thank you, glad you liked it! I’m hoping to make more videos in the Lake Tahoe area this year. Lots of nice secret spots, some easy access ones I plan to share.
Thanks!
🙏🏼 just when I was going to make less content you do something like this and fire me up to start editing. Thank u Steve, may all the blessings of the season find you and your family.
How’s it been doing?
Good so far but I’m doing some gear work so haven’t put a ton of miles it yet. I did hit some blue and black trails… I’ll have another 20k miles on it in about 5-6 months and will know more.
Nice video, how you liking the LP
Took it out 3 times now, been good so far, still need to swap out the puck anchors but the wheel estate has been roomy.
@@AdventureSquadOverland I’m loving mine so far, tonight was the 1st night I camped out in it
@ are you in CA?
Whats the warranty???
1 year… I’m going to get a driveline spacer, maybe I’m having some vibrations from my 2” lift (rare and odd)?
Great video, any info on campsite location?
In the description
the most powerful washing machine
I could have done that in a tercel
I was at lake couple weeks ago, sweet spot but super windy!!
Yeah the wind can be pretty wild up there, but so worth it!

Hey what did u do with the plastic liners in the wheel well?
Push it up and reheat it to mold it.
Searched up OffRoading in the snow and stumbled upon this.. definitely one of my favorite off-roading in the snow videos 👍🏽
Appreciate it, we work hard on the videos but we can’t seem to get any traction. The feedback is appreciated 💯👍🏼🫵🏼
I live in the uk and can't get Fumoto valves shipped cheaply, what are the chinese copys like? Or any other better option for us in the uk?
What clip setting did you go with?
Super fun video. Thanks for sharing man.😎💪🏼

Everyone needs some type of community! Double edge sword with technology to discover the communities, but sometimes become too insular. Looks fun! Happy trails!!! 🦆
💯 sounds like subscriber coffee and rigs and subscriber adventure trips might help people find a place 🤓
Yeah, I like to overland to McDonald’s and then I drive over the same piece of land back home
But do u order coffee? Rigs and coffee is totally ok.
awesome! great spotting! great group.
Let me know if you are local. We thinking to do a subscriber meetup :) if your local shoot me your IG
Crispy Land Cruiser! 😍
I’m totally considering… something about small 1 tons 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
OEM CV axles shouldn't be used with a lift kit. OEM are usually limited to 23-25 degrees of articulation. an extended travel Axle setup will give a much greater range of movement (~45+ degrees) with less binding and less boot wear. the video is good as a step by step.
Nice to meet you guys out there on the trail. Looks like you had a great trip.
Yea thanks for being so awesome! We are heading up in the snow there this winter :) also I was thinking of doing a subscriber meetup, shoot me your IG if interested 😅
😯😯😯😯😯
Thank u
You killed this one dude, great job!
Thanks Cody, just wondering why I can’t get any traction ever. I’ll just make shorter videos I think, they don’t take so long so I don’t burn out
@ all it takes is one to pop, it’s like gold mining. You burn out and you miss the big strike. Keep hitting it brother
