I have 33” load E and I can get about 17-18 mpg. I do baby it on the highway. I’m set up similar to you as well. I just added a winch and skid plates so I expect that number to go down.

Why not go for skinnies next time? Not 37” because body chops and stuff but big skinnies might do a bit better on the tank

Thank u. I don’t think IG would approve but I did some homework and completely agree, that’s the plan for possibly next year. Thinking of looking for a real 35” tire as well. Any recs? I’ll be happier w the improved fuel economy as well.

is there any tune done to your tacoma? Do you think a tune and regear will improve mpg?

What I think is not popular opinion lol. A tune will raise RPM costing more fuel while increasing power. So unless your towing maybe but for commutes I doubt it. Regear so far seems to help those heavy footed drivers, I’m easy on the gas and so far I lost about 0.5 mpg. This might be because I do more highway driving. I’ll do more specific measurements and make a video in a couple months. Thank u for watching and commenting. Anyone else like to chime in?

33" tires in the front, 35" tires in the back to lift the rear axis abit higher.

That's actually not bad for how you have the truck set up.

Thanks. I imagine the regear I’ll take some hwy mpg loss and city gain. Plus a couple steel bumpers and maybe skids, let’s find out lol.

@Adventure Squad the regear will most likely see a highway gain. Right now the truck probably lives in 4th and 5th gear. I doubt it thinks about 6th at all. The shorter gears will bring the engine closer to its power band again.

That's the reason I sold my Tacoma for a zr2 diesel I was so tired of the gas mileage it truly is garbage the new one better be over 20 mpg

I think all trucks even v8 will have these issues however they start at lower fuel economy so the change is not as drastic. So far with metal front and back and regear I’m not seeing much decrease from the lighter truck build.

@AdventureSquadTeam how has your regear added to your mpg numbers

@@loganfurst3010 still collecting data. Since I’m a highway commuter I don’t expect much but power is nice on the low end. For city drivers I’d expect a larger gain, or off roading as well.

      What’s your mpg’s now with re-gear?

@@daltonkennedy5488 I’m doing a video on that. But the gist is it depends on your driving style and environment. Stop and go or hills it may go up. Highway it appears to have gone down. Video in a few months, trying to post some adventure videos first
