@@WigglyWings He followed the spiral climb, if he was stock he should have kept his speed high and stayed defensive. This would be from the perspective of a pilot that assumes the Re2005 pilot didn't have godlike aim, if you knew Adam you're taking a big risk anyway if you opt to dodge an attack, but nevertheless a gamble is better than being forced into a checkmate in a low-speed Spitfire against a Re2005.

Me: casually cruises at 700kph after a hell of a dive
Re.2005: approaches head-on at about 400kph
Me: avoids headon and dives after merging
Re.2005: turns in a milisecond after merging and gets 0.2km behind me
You can guess what happened afterwards...

That's a good thing ;).
I use the c key and mouse to look around. For aim, be patient and don't be greedy, and you'll improve the fastest.

I once lost a match in a very humiliating manner while flying the P-61: having taken down an Me264, and 2 Bf-109s (the first of which pretty much took out my right engine), I barely make the airfield while my team gets massacred by the rest. As I try and take off after repairing, I end up pulling up a bit too hard and lost the entire tail, and the game registered this as me crashing, though I could still be repaired. That wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the fact that I was the last person on my team, at which point the match ends due to our team having "lost all its vehicles".
Oof yeah happened a few times to me in the past.

Today I discovered how bombers/attackers can be useful: I was in a match 5.7-6.7 with my favorite plane (the k4) and I was literally the only fighter: 4 ju288c, 3 me262 with the 50mm cannon and me. The other team was all composed by 5.7 fighter and a p51h. I started climbing like a madman with 25% radiators and full wep, I was thinking to see tons of spitfires at the same altitude as me but... only one lfmkIX 1 km below me and I killed him easily (we were at 6000m, he had no chances). The rest of their team was at low altitude trying to kill the attackers, and then i easily killed them one by one. 8 kill match thanks to bombers lol

AdamTheEnginerd yeah that’s true. I really did not know what the people in the enemy team were thinking. I don’t think that 4 bombers and 3 fighters can win by ground pounding.
Probably the only way bombers are really useful is when 4 people team up and fly in formation like 4 me264. Then the match ends very fast

Vers 1:01 si on regarde bien on voit que le F7F a bien une solution de tir pendant seulement une fraction de seconde. Je déteste ce genre de moment, je pense être hors de danger, et l'adversaire, bien que gravement endommage réussi à me toucher en sprayant parce que pendant 0,2 secondes je suis dans sa ligne de mire à cause de l'effet de surprise :O
7:00 Un Narval et 2 Fw 190 partent en dogfight contre un Re.2005, WOW ! Même à trois contre un c'est couillu (et stupide).
J'ai toujours eu l'impression que les gens surestime les FW 190 Anton, même à bas BR, mais à haut BR (4,7-5,0) ils font partie des pire avions à jouer je trouve (avec le Ki-61 II).
Et aussi à 3:05 "Makes for good footage, not complaining" la réflexion que seuls les meilleur joueurs RUclipsr du jeu peuvent avoir XD.
Mais c'est vrai que c'est rare d'avoir des matchs équilibrés. Etre steamroll (où on ne fait que subir) ou steamroll l'adversaire (où là c'est la course au kills) devient vite lassant je trouve. De plus, c'est difficile de s'améliorer et d'apprendre (surtout en 1vs1) dans ce genre de cas.

Ouais c'étaient les pires avions pour m'affronter alors que c'est moi qui avait l'avantage en énergie haha. Les Anton n'ont pas une performance exceptionnelle, mais l'Axe a une plus grande quantité d'avions utiles, et 2 Antons vont gagner contre 1 Allied.
Ouais, les matches intéressants semblent devenir de plus en plus rares pour moi.

AdamTheEnginerd Dude I’ll be honest with you. Trying to fly US has made me furious enough to have actually put a whole in my backyard fence. Went full hulk on it. Shit needs to change because I know for a fact that I am good at BnZ in my thunderbolt, yet I still don’t stand a chance in 90% of matches. Hellcat for example needs a massive buff; it has no business being so comically weak.

I still would prefer you use the keyboard for elevator , you'll be able to get so many more shots you sometimes miss slightly , but I guess by not using the full elevator authority you lose less energy in turn fights.
Keyboard and mouse elevator is the same, both are limited by instructor.

@@AdamTheEnginerd then how could you explain the keyboard being more effective in stalls than mouse , also it allows for ptoforming high alphas and getting the shots without relying on the camera , cuz the camera and mouse is limited by the screen and you can't pull shots off screen with the mouse , I can't argue with you on the video since I'm not an expert I'm just going by experience and what I saw over the years , anyway great videos as always .
@@rabbischlomobengoldbergstein Stall maneuvers are indeed "helped" (you are able to keep control for a tiny bit longer with keyboard elevator) with keyboard, but mainly the benefit comes from aileron and rudder. In this match, at no point would keyboard elevator give a different result than mouse though.
I've never needed to get shots offscreen.
Kinda funny how similar it performs to a spitfire in turns,even if according to the game its got like +4 seconds to turn rate

Could be neat to see more of a 'tutorial' type of video.
Precisely more like something showing what maneuvers to do if you have an 'X' kind of plane vs an 'Y' kind of plane in a 'Z' situation. And also explaining why said maneuver works the way it does would simply be PERFECT IMO (at least to me, bc I wanna club those dang Re-2005s that are kinda stomping Squadron Battles even at BR 6.0...)
That's pretty specific, there are thousands of situations you could come across, and a video would only be able to explain a handful of them.

Adam514 what joke! All that plane has over it is too speed! And barely at that! Even catches it in a dive :D if you think you can boom and zoom it also wrong! It retains more energy than you regardless of what state you started at. I’ve tried multiple time to Bnz it me starting at 5k diving to 3k putting rounds into him, but everytime they can follow me back up :D gr8 game. Op plane pls nerf. If anything, that’s the one of the worst planes to try to counter it.
Last time I tried to do spiral climbing on my F4U when I was about 500km/h and the A6M2 behind me was much slower, he got me! I did the same "flap thing" you did. I turned when I was about 1.68 km of him and I still couldnt get out of his guns :(
You turned too much towards him. Do just a quarter turn and watch what he does. If he commits, then go full vertical.
At least the 2005 has good guns and usually gets at least 1 or 2 fighters that aren't completely useless, you should try the 2001 Serie 1 if you want to see suffering. Your team will be filled with 111s, ju88s, A5M4s, 112s and if you are REALLY lucky you MIGHT get a Ki27 or HE100. The enemy? Will be swarms of lvl 100s flying CW21s, Hawks, Hurricanes, and B34s being flown as fighters along the occasional Hudson or Havoc and if your luck REALLY sucks some Sunderlands, again all being flown as heavy fighters.
Its one of the few planes where you will pray for a max uptier as at least you will get some birds on your team at 3.0-3.3 that aren't total trash but with the CW21 spam? Yeah...GLWT Chuck.

This needs a higher BR or nerf in performance and guns.
Bomber are useless but they win a lot of matches if you don't take them out when your trailing tickets the whole match.
Maybe nowadays it's a bit different, but back when this video was made, before the changes to the time limit among other things, 90%+ of matches ended when one team lost all their aircraft.
I do wish they would make it easier to win with ground attack aircraft so as to make air rb less of a climb fest and more attack/defend objectives
Need a complete overhaul of air RB to change that kind of thing.

Anything planned on the DO335? Yeah its a HUGE target, but I had actually some success (and that says a lot lmao) flying it like you did with the Arado. Would be interested in how you would do with it.
I guess the A1 would be the best one for that, lightest one of the bunch at lowest BR.
B2 is just way too heavy, yeah the A0 has better guns; but I am not sure thats worth the 0.3 BR uptier (meeting or not the Spit Mk22/20 mil Bearcat/P51H...)

I know what you are talking about. Problem is you need to be fast in it, but it stiffens/locks up quite bad, so its hard to get on target, which gets even worse with the wobbly flight model...
However, the flaps are great for a german plane and with the airspawn you can energy trap quite a lot of people.
At least thats what I had the most kills with.
Re 2005 wrecks Spitfires damn hard. Other than the Mk V, Mk IX or the LF, all other spits get clubbed by this thing.
Not many Spitfires left if you remove those.
You only have the 5.0 variant, and all the Griffons

P59 can do decent against it, then there was the 1vs3 so they were confident.

At 6.0+ how to play her now? Ground pounding are more effective and can ended match quickly, forcing some of us (me includes) to stay close to ground, not good for 2005. I have no worries about jets tbh, only ground pounding and high performance props like Mustang H and Spitfire mk22/4 (I have no worries about LF and early Griffon).
Unless it's an A2D you shouldn't have issues with ground pounders. You do need a couple on your team to go low for ground pounders, so if you don't see anyone else going low, you need to go low.
Apart from that, not much changed.
@@AdamTheEnginerd the problem is exactly that, A2d Skyraider plus 4d ruined my combat recently and force me and others to go low.
You should do a video on the I-225, one of the few Russian planes that *actually* functions at altitude! Also, what belt do you use for ShVAKs? I honestly don't know which ones are better.

Italian planes are fun to play, i Do good in them. They are much easier to fly. At 5.0 BR allied teams Lose very often thats what i noticed.

It being slow is a fact, it's probably the slowest 5.3 fighter at low altitude. Most people don't know how to run effectively.

Probably not, this was before the nerf. It's now 12% or so heavier, so around 12% worse climb and turn. Climbs fine now.

I never stall in P59 and maintain 300km/h at all times.
P59 is a great plane not so ez to kill in good hands a force to be recon with.

did you made your calculations for the climb speed or just eyeballed it ¿?
For my optimal climb speed? No precise calculations, just estimates based on other similar planes and its particular characteristics.
From what I know if a plane stalls at lower speeds(usually good turners and slower planes) it will have lower optimal climb speed
All else being equal, yes.
I mention calculations because of the video you made a couple weeks ago explaining the method to precisely get the best climb speed.. i'm using 270 when i want te get the best climb and around 300 on large maps and was wondering if i was close to optimal

There are ways, but nothing simple. I recommend checking out "Void Mei" on the WT forums for something similar.
