@@shashlik7959 I remember I was in my P47 at 8k alt with a zero on my ass, 1v1, and he had already damaged my engine so I was suffering.
I thought, well fuck, I'll just dive. I hit .85 mach and the zero just flit away into nothingness lol. Idk why he followed me through.

These F4u 4B videos will never get old! Fantastic plane, and once mixed with your piloting skills almost unbeatable.

Great game and camera management, I like how you divide the battle up into little skirmishes that are winnable rather than a large battle where you are outnumbered five to one. The F4U is an amazing plane against the Germans, it eats FW's for breakfast. I only realized how good it was when I played it, it can surprise even an experienced FW pilot. After that I was always super careful around them in my little FWA5.

Adam514 find out many 5.7 aircraft has air brake:4b has landing gear,152h/c has a flap that wont rip at 800 IAS,k4 has prop pitch,P47m has a actually air brake(diving flap actually)

Bombers can actually be pretty helpful if they just play gunship and shoot down the Spitfires who try to attck them - but most bomber players don't even know how to use the gunners...
Man everyone hating on bomber pilots but since the ju288 the German teams have just been nerfed because now they have 1-3 less fighters per game. Which sucks for germans but makes 5.0-6.0 way more fun for allies.
Ahh the Whistling death. The only prop aircraft more American is the thunderbolt.

Starting from the F4U-1A, I have LOVED the Corsairs, the landing gear and flaps mean you can outturn anything that isn't japanese with the right input and airspeed, and the roll rate is just awesome. The diving ability also makes it a joy to do violent maneuvers in(something I really really disliked on the Hellcat which has no roll rate) for dodging rounds or forcing overshoots. I haven't gotten to the F4U-4B yet, but it's the next thing I'm gunning for. hopefully will have it soon, looks like fun by the way you handle it.
OMG Adam, you are really inspiring me to play WT again. I'm thinking of coming back because of you dude. From the Tempest Mk V, to the F4U4B, I kinda idolize you haha.

Do you constantly keep playing air rb Adam ? I took a week break from wt, all my aim' s gone down the drain and the general feeling of flying a plane.
Sometimes I go a week without playing, takes a few games to get back into it.
The F4U-1A is a great plane to start grinding the American tech tree, the F4U-4 is a well-rounded plane that possesses good top speed, high-alt performance, and high-speed handling, but the F4U-4B is a true beast. It's an absolute Chad with a quartet of flying spaghetti monster dismantling cannons, a top of the line Double-Wasp engine, and a refusal to recognize the concept of high-speed compression. It takes your sister out for dinner and you're jealous of her.

wish my memory was not a total let down it would help me remember alot more aircraft stats. i can fly as well as you but not make use of my aircraft or situations as well as you and i bet you know most aircraft stats like top speeds off the top of your head...dude your genius and a savage pilot

How do you fight this thing in a k4? I have about 400 matches with around 700 kills but the f4u4b, 51h and mk 9 lf (at low alts) are the only things im scared of, f4u even more so due to its roll.
Need to fight with the energy advantage.

@@AdamTheEnginerd No, I genuinely like it! even though its small, It adds personality and adds a funny aspect to the video. Like the contrast between your serious and well thought out text and the "oof" are really funny imo. the screen could be saying "I did this to not die, this is a technique etc" and then you just hear "oof". I'm going wayy more into depth than I need to but anyways I just found it cool.

F4u 4b corsaie and the p51 d30 mustang are my fav aircrafts in simulator battles. And i still cant imagine what if i faced off someone like you in simulator battles lmao. Ill probably just bail out and hide in the clouds.

I was play my A2D earlier this month and I must've ran into the dumbest arado pilot. He tried to head on against a plane with virtually no repair cost
Repair costs don't matter in headons haha.
Arados are extremely easy to pilot snipe as well... (no cockpit armor)

Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

An excellent boom and zoom aircraft. I got three kills in a single boom and zoom just recently (shot one plane down in the dive, killed another at the bottom, and killed one last one while I passed it climbing).

I use c and mouse to look around. When I'm maneuvering, I point my mouse behind me and depending on where the cursor is, the plane will move how I want it to move.

How ironic is its comparison to P-47N. This, a low/medium altitude engine stuck onto a high-altitude airframe; the P-47N, a high-altitude engine stuck onto a low-altitude airframe
P47 airframe isn't for low alt, and Corsair airframe isn't for high alt.

The F4U-4B is an absolute unit of a plane. So is the P-47M.

@@AdamTheEnginerd Haha, I don't think I do either. It seems so sluggish. It made me realize how much I favor fighters with good roll rate. I actually passed it by after I got it. (I am currently up to F86F-2) but my ADHD demanded I come back and spade it. :-) . I have found it a very frustrating plane. The only thing it has is speed and controls lock up when it's fast. Plus, the TA's Re.2005's and 190d's all have so much alt advantage, that even negates it's speed. Not that I want to see you suffer, but it would be cool if you played it, just to see someone maximize its (most likely limited) potential. lol

Bud Anderson said the mustang was a match for anything he flew against. It would do anything he wanted it to do. Same with the later D and M model thunderbolts. Lot of Thunderbolt aces.

Adam can you do a vid on the F8F1B? It has AN/M3s as well and imo it's a pretty decent fighter for its BR.
I think F4U4B is better than F8F1B even if they were at the same BR. The Bearcat FM is pretty bad, even worse rudder lock up than P51D.
I spaded this plane and its OP. How do you deal with the gun dip? I fire normally on deflection and spam tap fire when they are trying to run away

Hey would you be willing to test out the Mig21F after its recent mass reduction update? I'd love to see how much the performance improves because of it!
10% or so reduction in mass, so 10% better turn, and more than 10% better climb and acceleration!
Whats the super charger ALT on this thing?
Have you considered the F4-U5? Performance of -U4b straight line up to 40K altitude, due to one of a kind R2800 ("E" series). Spring tab controls, all aluminum control & wing surfaces. And all with a cabin cigarette lighter & ashtray!

I move my mouse and depending on where it is behind me, it'll pitch in the direction I want.
I agree that this is the best prop.
The armament absolutely shreds enemies, and has more than enough ammo. Great speed and engine power especially at low alts, it can easily beat enemies energy fighting because of its good acceleration. The gear airbrake is absolutely genius on the inventors part.
This thing also shreds jets because you can take a headon and just dip down and they cant pull the same negative Gs as you. Or if they dive on you just go really low and under their nose so that they have to pitch down more and crash or try to roll and risk crashing.
Is it good for farm?
At which altitude should I switch supercharger gears?
Depends on the aircraft and the throttle. For the F4U4B on WEP, 2500m or so.
They're a scary plane to face. Takes some tricky flying to deal with them.

I like flying the 190A8 or d9, for the most part I'm underestimated by all manner of planes, 51s, P47s, griffons etc.. defensive flying can equal the odds, but with the F4u4b I really need the opponent to be stupid, cos there isn't much it can't do well. Unless it runs out of wep, but gambling on that is playing against the odds.

Yup, so some planes require a substance to be added to the engine to run WEP, so when that runs out you can no longer WEP.

Hey Adam! You are making mighty good videos, wish you could upload more often. Any chance to show us some skills with Do-335? Got myself premium variant with 3xMK103 but im struggling with it for some reason when im engaging other fighters, plane feels really sluggish to align the guns to smaller planes, other then headons. Other German planes at BR 5.0-5.7 feel so much easier to play, must be missing something when i take Do-335 out.

What's your opinion on the F2G Super Corsair?
BR seems a bit too high from what I've seen and heard.

There is so much info about whats going on and when I would hear you say something in one of your videos like "using less than so-and-so amount of mixture will conserve the most fuel" I always wondered how you knew things like that... cool man thanks!!!!!

What is the difference between this and the non premium F4u 4B other than repair cost and earnings?
There's no premium F4U4B, there's the XBONE F4U4B but it seems to be the same as the US one.
Nice to see a recent video for an Allied prop vs an Axis team (not against USSR). AN/M2-3 are decent and I daresay if you had been in a P-51 or P-47 or maybe even a non-cannon corsair, I doubt you would have been able to carry in this fashion. Though 50 cals do feel a bit better after this last patch despite no patch notes announcing any buffs.
Maybe the M2's but M3's are probably the worst thing you could put on a jet fighter
