Armchair pilot here: in that last engagement, you had a perfectly good rolling scissor set up in a plane that's designed to fight that way, and you broke off and went vertical. Now, I'm no expert, but don't fight the plane and the enemy at the same time. You're bound to lose to one or the other.
His plane is the same as mine, so the argument goes both ways. I would have likely lost no matter what I did.
It's absolutely alien to watch Adam helping his team. I'm much more used to the classic formula of the team getting wiped out and Adam cleaning out the rest.
Hmm one thing I'd clear up is that I rush into the fight to help my team as much as possible in the beginning. In some matches my team still gets destroyed, and it's those matches that are more interesting and will have a higher tendency to be shown on RUclips.

Instead of 0% throttling sneaking up, wep and go through the sound barrier. They can't hear you if you travel faster than sound
But then I get control lockup and can't aim.

Well emergency dive. If you can and if they are significantly faster than you, try to reverse. But diving to teammates is the right move if possible.

Use your roll to get out of his aim while usimg flaps and throtlle to make it overshoot, your acceleration its higher so no worries.

Nice showing of jets! The Me 262 C-2b is getting uptiered to no end. Facing the new swedish premium jet, the swift and air to air missiles. It's basically a 7.0 plane with 3 minutes of 8.0 getting into 9.0 matches. Show us why it's at 8.0! FYI, It's actually really satisfying to land 30s on sabers as they over shoot.

Yea it's pretty good too but I think it's a downtier if I remember correctly.
So... interesting question... have you ever tried the MB.175t as an interceptor/fighter? It has to be one of my favorite stress relievers: load up rockets, try to kill BVs and other skywhales, then once you exhaust your HVARs start engaging enemy fighters.
Food for thought, might make for a fun video.

Adam514 It gets overlooked a lot. People see it as a downgrade from previous frontline bombers in the tech tree, which is sort of fair, but ultimately it’s better suited as an interceptor/fighter.

One thing tho I don't see people using si WEP off on Mig 19. Turning circle becomes so much tighter and plane so much more maneuverable.
19 has some very powerful engines its basically like trying to turn in a 70s Muscle car front tires just cant take it when you floor it. Its good for keeping speed but airbrake + WEP off can make you flinch turn and if timed right on their 6.
Unless you are at high speed, WEPing improves your turn speed and turn radius.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Well let me add a clause than over 750km/h WEP doesn't add to your turn it subtracts from it.
Under 450 it actually does the Mig 21 it drifts.
You can use all of this but that's up to player skill.
That's why you actually think it has no Drag. Use wing tip smoke in a match and watch the replay you will see when it drifts and when it understeers . Its in a very weird place that's why people think the plane is OP or broken. Because its strange. Unorthodox. And by being such it can outdo others in areas its impossible for them to accept because it never happens on other planes. + The Engines are very powerful for the frame and size yet its not a brick design like a Phantom..
WEP always adds to your turn, it's just that at high speed you want to slow down to reduce control stiffening to turn tighter.
Hi Adam, perfect timing as I just got the mig 19s as my first top tier vehicle so the gameplay tips are very helpful ahaha. I was wondering if you would ever do a video covering the strengths and weaknesses of each top tier jet so newer players like me know what we're playing against? Might be too much for one video, but i thought I'd throw the suggestion out there. Thanks for the great content regardless :)
Maybe one day! They are adding new top tier jets every few months though, hard to stay up to date when I mainly fly props.

Adam!! Hey i know i already suggested it, but ive been playing the 262 c2b all wrong!! I've been putting on 20 minutes of fuel and climbing, trying to find bombers and easy targets. No no no no no! Tonight I loaded only min fuel and rushed the enemy climb. Target rich and super fun! That plane has crazy speed, it can red line in a straight line and cause major trouble for the enemy team. It probably wouldn't make for a super educational clip like your usual stuff is, but a shorter, heavy kill, heavy action clip for sure! I know I'd sure like to see what you could do in it!

Hey, nice to see you uploading! What do you think about trying new finnish Pyorremyrsky? Basically a buffed 109, but with control stiffenning. I find it way better also because of team aspect (axis is just boring, it's more about fighting your team for a frag rather than enemy).

Looks like it climbs better than Bf109s. Don't know how turn compares. Axis is indeed usually boring.
My experience with axis is usually a race of how fast you can climb towards the allies and bnz them to death before your team gets there , it's fun getting aces the first couple times then it gets booring , now I like the Chalange of playing allies, especially Americans using speed and flaps to slowely fuck with the Germans one by one as you take them in shallow dives and feel their rage of not being able to catch you or monuver well to get a shot on you at high speeds .
@@AdamTheEnginerd Turn is great with flaps (usually battle flaps is enough and they rip at 420-440 kmph), VL can outturn Yaks including Yak-3 (faced some, felt equal if not better). Also the overheating is not a problem, so using MEC isn't necessary, even if engine overheats cooling it helps (unlike 109F-4). I'd recommend you fly it yourself to feel the "PERRRRRRKELE" hype

Yesterday I had to destroy 20 ground targets in a Spit XIV C to win cuz last enemy bomber climbed to the moon. At least i got 2 plane kills as well so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Good thing in jets nothing like this happens.
In jets you have some space jets instead sometimes haha.

It really sucks now. Impossible to play. The only advantage of the mig19 was climb, but you can’t do vertical loops without getting killed by a 30G missile. The Soviet one can hope to kill an F-104 or a Phantom with his 10G slow missiles, while the German one is screwed
Turn too. Should be one of the few supersonics that can reliably dodge multiple missiles one after the other. But yeah.
AdamTheEnginerd I’ve tried to turn, but it’s hard anyway to dodge 1 30G missile, but usually lots of people targets you since you are the easier target (not because of performance, but just because they can run away without having you firing a missive on their back)
Do you feel like they should upgrade the af protection for jet BR? From my experience it's far to easy for a jet to zoom in at 800+ kph and farm whoever he wants and the current level of af protection is totally helpless against him.
I prefer it like this, I wish it was like this in props. The ideal system would be bigger maps for jets, and more airfields.

Mig19s has better performance, Mig19PT has missiles. I wouldn't recommend playing top tier atm though.
Can you do G.91/R3? It's kinda good plane, but quite fragile too.

Buying Mig-19s and training the crew to expert was a big mistake on my part... as Im not a fan of these tier 6 battles it turns out and now Im broke. German 8.7 jets are much more fun at least for me. Looking forward to more vids with this one to learn its secrets.

It's called the "local host".
How to access the "local host":
You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work!
Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT:
-Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila.
Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.

When you look around what do you use because I can only do that when I pitch up or down and regular look around is not great

I'm so bad in this thing because it so so damn hard to aim...
Especially against low speed targets when I'm going fast to meet them. I just feel the tail locks and I cant get guns on, then I just run out of ammo...

Play a bit more patiently, stay fast and bait for your team when you get a Mig on you.

Try to make overshoot with afterburner ... WHAT A MISTAKE ! But it was a good game
If I need to get significantly slower than him to make him overshoot, he'll just loop and attack with the energy advantage.
@@AdamTheEnginerd In the F4c i always manage to make overshoot with cutting the afterburner and use the airbrake , and with this type of aircraft, if the overshooted enemie decide to loop : you can just go straight to build some speed, or try some shoot

@@AdamTheEnginerd I've never actually been killed as often by SRAAMs when I fly the MiG 19. I've also (somehow) dodged quite a few. But honestly idk what's worse... SRAAMs or Sparrows. To think that in the future we may see more advanced missiles in the game scares the hell out of me.
damn the good old times when the mig19s was actually playable, now you have bunch of mig21's and mirages spamming their missiles with 60G and u just can't compete anymore with it at 10.3

With the new system of missile warning this plane is impossible to fly
Well it's not the missile warning system itself that changes anything, it's the high G missiles.
AdamTheEnginerd yeah, but with the earlier warning you could dodge them anyway. It’s annoying because you have to options: looking around every second -> you won’t be able to have time to aim guns.
Trying to kill someone and getting killed immediately. With the soviet mig-19 I don’t have this problem, since aiming a missile is much faster than aiming guns. Also Mirage are very annoying, sometimes their missiles do 90 degrees turns. At 10.3 it has missiles capable of performing 30g instead of the usual 10
