imo the easiest way to rebalance the 288c would be to increase its minimum fuel load so that fires burn for longer. Maybe not to the extent that a single fire's gonna kill it, but at least to cause fires to deal more damage and hamper its speed more. Adam, asking. From sources online I often see statements of how Ki-100 is supposedly superior to Ki-84 given equal pilots, but the stats on paper seems to point at the opposite. Can you do a video about this?
I'm not an expert on the real life history of these aircraft, but there is more to an aircraft than simply its performance. Reliability, range, stability and control are also important factors which aren't present in RB.
@@AdamTheEnginerd I see. Shame there's so little about the topic other than the JAAF claiming the 100 to be better over 84. Perhaps the 100 was easier to control and stable since the fact they have comparable stats but the Ki-100 being like a hundred kilogram lighter, but alas, thanks for the answer.
I've recently discovered your channel and found your videos very useful as I'm trying to get more proficient with aircraft. GG !
Can you do a new video on the G-56 at his current br? because i didnt see anyone doing a review of it since it became 6.3. And btw, is there any performance difference between all the 3 Ki-84s? And which one is the best to fly?

The same playstyle would apply for 84 ko, right? I bought the chinese one some months ago and it's catcing dust in the hangar Btw, any advice to fight the Spit LF? That's the plane I fear the most
I've ended up in a number of matches at low tier lately where the last enemy just does tight circles around the airfield while the last 10-15 min of timer runs out. I noticed you mentioned af camping at the end of the video. Is that a major or minor problem at higher tiers in your opinion?
In jet tiers (7.0 and above) its less of a problem because we're too fast for the AAA or just send a missile, but harder to deal with while avoiding the new SAMs.
idk about those guns but when it comes to war thunder you gotta use the right belts. use the right belts plus have good aim! thats the best advice you can get
@@AliceC993 spot on in my opinion. Flat surface is best target for Japanese 20s, I usually get within 400m to open fire. Used to run universal on everything with 20s but now I run armored targets on the ki-43 otsu, for some reason I've had better results with them just on that plane. I started trying out stealth belts on the A6ms, still gotta get used to it though.
Can you make a video about the Ki83 ? I know you made one years ago, but I wonder how this thing currently is and if it worth spending time on grind. Currently looking for a good interceptor to kill bombcancers.
Ki83 would be good for killing bombers if it had any durability. I don't even try to kill bombers in it unless I have a large altitude advantage and can dive on them. Ki83 either catches fire instantly or takes a bit of damage to the wings and loses all of its advantages.
Hey quick question is your squadron that you use yours if it is yours could I please join I have been needing a to finish of my grind for the squadron 262!
Not necessarily, as you could see with the 288 Adam set afire in this video they really don't like flying after taking engine damage. Even if a fire doesn't immediately kill one it's usually going to struggle to make it back to the runway alive. If you wait to engage them on their second run when they're low and have no energy(so you don't have to sit on its tail), and can critically damage at least one engine, it's as good as dead in my experience.
Last one I did was a couple of months ago. Do to the current situation, I can't make any noise past 10PM so that inhibits my usual stream schedule. I'll try to stream once in a while.

@KermitThePlane I blame the game for shitty economic mechanics and horrible grinding designed to get people to pay2skip. Gaijin deserves no defense whatsoever. Yes, it is true, you should strive to learn your vehicle and do better in it. That has nothing to do with bullshit repair costs that probably exist to push people to play the low tiers to seal club new players (and get them to pay2skip) or play high tiers and buy golden eagles to make the forever grinds go faster. For god's sake, I just want to play late war propeller planes, I don't care about Korean war jets or 1930s biplanes. But I can't do that because it's so bloody expensive to learn the damn plane I want to fly. How are you supposed to improve when you're missing half your plane's potential and every time you die (because you don't know the plane yet and you're fighting with an arm tied behind your back and "friendlies" ram you at take off or AA snipes you from 3km eating up your free repairs, yes this is personal experience) you lose a huge chunk of silver? It's not worth the pain, not to me. I'll get my kicks from Adam's videos but I'm not going back to that game.
Haven’t played War Thunder in about a year. Looking to get back into it since I can afford Premium all the time now. Is it worth it or has Gaijin thrown it even more down a drain?
If the enemy camping airfield, rtb, reload bombs & stealth ammo, start ground pounding by reducing their tickets. Get SL & RP while taunting enemies to get out of their airfield protection. This tactic is even better when playing in squad, 1 can take turns ground pounding while other stay above enemy near their airfield, ready to attack everytime they about to leave.
@@AdamTheEnginerd depends on type of aircraft too. if campers are just bombers/attackers then theres not much tht they can do. might as well just start to join the ground pound to get extra SL & RP and end the game fast. it is also best when teammates hv AD-4, Hydra rockets makes quick work of tanks & pillboxes.

How about a video of the Yak 3 vk 107? I struggle with that thing so much. I'm also interested in your choice of belts. Thanks in advance!
Already made a video on it!
Yo Adam, you haven't played i225, it's an energy monster (guns suck ass though). Can you play it?
It's on my list! What's worse than the guns though is the high speed handling.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Yup, high speed handling might even be worse than some of the Swedish bombers which sit at much lower BRs, which just blows my mind.
Thank you for making video about it I was thinking to buy it
But is the Ki-94 better ?
No, Ki94 isn't very good.
I always thought I'd have a better time flying the lower tier Ki-84s with worse guns because they'd have the same flight performance at lower tiers, but I did way better in the hei model and have more fun in it.
The 6.3 one? You must face jets pretty often in that one.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Yes, but there's a lot of 6.3 props as well.

I started using MEC lately and I'd like to have the same overlay that you use, in order to have more information at my disposal.
Could you maybe show us how to set up your overlay, please?
Glad you find them useful!

Ouais 6.0 max.
Welcome back Adam! Extended break?
Nope, always been here keeping to the schedule. Might be an issue with notifications, I've now seen a lot of comments like this.
Nicely done 👍
Thanks!
Hi love ur vids!
Thanks for the support!
Can you do a new video on the G-56 at his current br? because i didnt see anyone doing a review of it since it became 6.3.
And btw, is there any performance difference between all the 3 Ki-84s? And which one is the best to fly?
It's on my list!
Only the weight of the different guns changes, but the difference is very small. The best for the BR is this one, 4x20mm at 5.7.
@@AdamTheEnginerd I think the best is the ko,beacuse 5.7 is usaullay uptiered to 6.3. You could get then hei, with much better guns

Same.
The same playstyle would apply for 84 ko, right?
I bought the chinese one some months ago and it's catcing dust in the hangar
Btw, any advice to fight the Spit LF? That's the plane I fear the most
Yup very similar.
LF is the Spitfire that will outperform you in a dogfight, so retreat to friendlies or get the energy advantage before engaging.
I've ended up in a number of matches at low tier lately where the last enemy just does tight circles around the airfield while the last 10-15 min of timer runs out. I noticed you mentioned af camping at the end of the video. Is that a major or minor problem at higher tiers in your opinion?
Major problem, biggest reason why I don't play WT as much as I used to.
In jet tiers (7.0 and above) its less of a problem because we're too fast for the AAA or just send a missile, but harder to deal with while avoiding the new SAMs.
If he do that, and if you can ground ponding, go win ugly. He will 1) do nothing or 2) go out and deal with you. I usually do that if someone camping
@@AdamTheEnginerd Hey Adam if that's the case, have you ever thought about getting into IL2? Battle of Bodenplatte and Normandy are especially nice.

Get close and keep shooting until it dies!
idk about those guns but when it comes to war thunder you gotta use the right belts. use the right belts plus have good aim! thats the best advice you can get

I started trying out stealth belts on the A6ms, still gotta get used to it though.
Adam, do you prefer flying Ta 152 H or Tempests?
Ta152H I suppose.
My squadron is closed and not mine (mainly inactive people anyway), but there's ENERD.
280kph IAS is the best climb speed? Thought it would be around 250kph as it doesn't go above 4deg AoA.
Why not go for the lower version for the BR advantages....you still have 2 20s and two 50 cal equivalents..
BR difference is small, I prefer the 4x20mm. It's worth it for me.

@@AdamTheEnginerd gotta catch up then
killing ju288 are one of the hardest things to do in this game imo
I guess.
One year ago it was the most resistant death star of a plane. But now both bv 238 and he 177 seems stronger to face against.
Hey man. I'm a new viewer of yours, and was wondering about your streams. Do you do them anymore? Specifically the war thunder streams.

The first ki-84 has 2x 12.7mm in the nose and 2x 20mm in the wings. The third one has 2x 30mm in the wings and I think 2x 20mm in the nose
The guns and hence the gun weight.
What’s your strategy fighting against this plane in the f4u4b?
BnZ.
@@AdamTheEnginerdAppreciate the advice. I just love going for reversals in the f4u and it seems that doesn’t work great against this plane
Bravo!
Gramercy!
@@AdamTheEnginerd Hey bud, can you tell me, since they added so many higher tiers, did repair costs and upgrade costs (RP and SL) go down any? I really really want to fly tier 4, especially Nippon, and that was very hard to do IMO at my skill level.
@@chris_hisss Hmm if anything it seems SL modifiers have gone down, so less income.
@@AdamTheEnginerd LMAO perfect. God I hate that game. It is so punishing to learn, combined with flying stock airplanes, and boom you are out of money, so you need to fly completely different airplanes and then try to come back and remember how the plane flys again, which might be days or weeks later.
4:20 what if my entire team is dead?
That would be an issue yes.
Suck that has such higher repair cost, pretty fun
The repair costs at that br range are just cancer overall.
Hmm didn't notice.
@@siliconavatar8218 agree and find funny because the main excuse for such repair costs are that the vehicle preform very well but can’t go up bunch could and all have it it just seems to be Gaijin fucking with it players
@@gabrielmathias2249 wut? its not an excuse if you know what you are doing... a lot of people blame the game for pilot error. now if your team dies then thats just bad luck. if you get jumped thats either your fault or bad luck. don't blame the game (speaking from personal experience) if the repair cost is a problem fly something else or simply learn to use the plane to its advantages. and yes sometimes bad luck happens... a lot of players blame their mistakes on gaijin though. i used to get frustrated till i looked at my replays and learned how to use tactics and play efficiently (if you wanna argue i will 1v1 you in the same plane and prove my point) it comes down to skill most the time. when i die i go back and see what i could have done better
I'll get my kicks from Adam's videos but I'm not going back to that game.
make video about head on attack

Ok but how do i kill this thing? (In a 109 to be specific)
How does this dude get that extra information
If the enemy camping airfield, rtb, reload bombs & stealth ammo, start ground pounding by reducing their tickets. Get SL & RP while taunting enemies to get out of their airfield protection. This tactic is even better when playing in squad, 1 can take turns ground pounding while other stay above enemy near their airfield, ready to attack everytime they about to leave.
It's what I do and also requires you to outnumber the campers, but main point is that it's a waste of time.
