    Zone valve manufacturers need to up their game. Union fittings and detachable plugs like pumps should be standard make plumbers lives easier. 😂 Least you got your morning dump in at the first property. 😁

    It basically is now an s plan, once you put the two port in the hot water flow you now have a valve to stop flow on both heating and hot water, unlike just a mid position valve that always has one port open, as for the wiring they will work independently, when a hot water only demand is called on a mid position valve it starts at the programmer sends 240 to the cylinder stat then from the cylinder stat straight to the boiler, so you wire the two port valve in between the cylinder stat and boiler, you take the feed from the cylinder stat to the boiler connect it to the brown then put the orange back in place of the cylinder stat wire ( switch live to boiler) it was a way of upgrading from an open vent to unvented cylinder without changing or rewiring or or altering valves but still keeping the 3 tier of safety 👍if they makes any sense 😂🤯 I find they would forget to fit a bypass and that would cause more issues

    Why’s there a 2port on the hot water? Please explain

    • @Heatking
      @Heatking  10 месяцев назад

      Basically. If the 3 port valve ever failed. The 2 port would still be closed to act as a safety device on an unvented cylinder and stop the cylinder over heating. 👍🏼

    Hi Dan this is one for you went to a baxi solo 3 today fan had gone phoned up the mearcant they wanted £380 for a new one .so i know a place that does recon fans phoned them up and they said thers one out the back that the box is damadged etc for £85 left the old fan with them went back fitted it and it would only stay alight with the front door off so i thought it can only be a problem with the ventury so went back to the shop looked at the old fan and then relished the ventury was the wrong way round lol went back and it all worked

    • @Heatking
