I don't want to be too demanding. I know how editing can be so mentally draining plus the long drives were so physically exhausting. But I wish you have longer videos. You are a very good story teller.
Those fires were actually controlled burns. Farmers will burn their fields and I guess it helps fertilize for a new crop season. They aren’t wildfires so no need to be alarmed.
Yes they do that all over Indiana to those controlled burns and yes it helps with there veggies 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤.

Every time I watch your video's, It amazes me how Maui looks so much like my cat Mittens and she loves Fancy Feast too :) Glad your so good at figuring out problems and hope you get your heater fixed too !!! Its cold in Colorado but so beautiful. Yes Maui looked so cute drinking from the tap LOL :) Wow you and Madilynn have such good energy !!
i just caught up on all your more recent videos and i am so excited to see you living in your van and hitting the road! i'm supposed to be heading to colorado in my van in about a month and i'm so nervous but excited. these videos have definitely made me wanna get out there already 🤩
that was probably a prescribed burn, performed to reduce the amount of fuel available for wild fires. And they do them in virginia, too, to burn off undergrowth in some areas. Fire is a natural part of the environment, and preventing normal brush fires causes massive wildfires.
Oh I loved that series 😂 there's another book that just came out I think it's called Siren I think, hopefully they had a baby. Stay safe out there, I love that you do a once over before pulling off.

In Kansas, the ranchers stage controlled burns every spring. The burns promote lush grass, which translates to fat cows & $$$.

I don't know if anyone else already explained this, but I'm pretty sure that was prairie burning- which is done on purpose to revitalize the land or something.

Oh, those long stretches are brutal! And crossing time zones really does feel like time travel when you're doing a long stretch! On my way back toward the east coast I crossed two a day apart and on the day I crossed the second one it was also a daylight savings time transition! It took two or three days before I realized the daylight savings transition had happened! (Cause my phone was my only clock and changed automatically while I slept) I kept joking that time as we know it no longer existed for me 🤣The only real measurement I had was sunrise and sunset- which limited driving hours for me since I generally try very hard not to drive in the dark.

The fires might have been them burning the fields purposely 😊 I live in farm country and they will sometimes burn them before a storm if there is any pest issues or diseases in the field. Love your videos!!

If liquid is staying in you diesel heat exhaust pipe then you need to reorient it. Ideally the lowest point of the exhaust should be the small drainage hole which is on one side of the silencer (you will need to mount it vertically or diagonally to achieve this). Also make sure the exhaust pipe is always descending so water doesn't get stuck in a bend!

We live in special times, the next time someone signals something wired to you don't immediately stop to figure it out as that could have been a plot to get you to stop. Don't live in fear just be cautious !
My reaction was about the same as yours my first time seeing the Rockies. It was a somewhat overwhelming experience. 😮

Concerning the Wildfire. If You Know, You Know, but most wouldn't understand if it was explained to them! As a 20 year veteran FF, there's probably a reason for letting it burn. I might have been a controlled burn to generate new growth!

Oh I rode in a car for 10 hours once going from Ft Lauderdale to NJ..but I wasn't behind the wheel. lol ( I can't drive anyway). Sorry for the heater situation. You handle everything so well. Not sure what the deal is with the fires. Maui looked like a hamster with that set up you had at the end..too cute.
Oh yes, I recently drove from Tampa to VA and it was 😵💫! I will say though, I find driving on highways in the east coast much easier because all the trees block any high winds. Out here in the west, the winds really toss the van about!

God is one, one God for all of us,
The universe didnt always exist science said it was not always existing, so it was created, they say it was through the big bang, and we say even that was created and initiated by God, & whatever got a beginning meaning whatever was proven to not have existed but then existed must have a creator, on the other hand whatever is proven to exist but was not proven to have had a beginning point by scientific facts and evidence and not logic alone, may have existed forever and thus has no creator, The universe proves the existence of God, but God not proven by scientific facts and evidence-¬ logic alone-to have had a beginning point, Thus if God had no beginning point and had always existed it means that he has no creator, again, because the universe had a beginning point it means the universe was created it means there must be a God, The universe proves the existence of God, but God on the other hand not proven to have had a beginning so God had no creator.
another thing, the universe shows unity although it shows diversity, meaning there are different things, different creatures and different materials, but they are all made of particles and atoms, that proves the capability and unity of God, that there is only one God not 2 or three!! or three in one!! or one in three!! or in four!!, one capable God.
God started &initiated &created everything, and he repeats things too, and that is clear, there are cycles almost for everything in life, water cycle, animal &plants food chain cycle, oxygen and carbon dioxide cycle, reproductive cycle.
and so on...
Also, this life is temporary, while the next-the hereafter-is forever, either in heaven or in hell fire,
Therefore, let us all try to be good and not bad humans in life, and be kind and follow the words of God and the good teachings of his great messenger to mankind, the prophet Mohammed and his supporter imam Ali and his good pious kind descendants whom are an extension of God's messenger and his light.

Yes drive across the country in USA it a hard work a lot of drive and have money on you for food and gas and you are doing good on van life

Hey Julia, did you lose the muffler to your heater?? If so I'd recommend the higher end ones such as Webasto. They'll drop the noise more and can be found south of 50 bucks.

I'm relatively new to your channel. Do you ever say why you're going to the location? And why you need to be there at a specific time? (I) don't need details, but - I'm leaving my dad's to go to (insert reason here) in Indiana. I want to get there by (time) to a. meet my friend b. spend the night on the way to Colorado where I'm going to go to (insert resort or whatever). Then go on to talk about your trials and tribulations. Really - NOT meaning to be a troll.I just like to know the whole deal. Otherwise - great post! I really enjoyed the journey. p.s. What a good cat guardian to have that collapsible 'catio'. I know Maui loves it.

i always wonder do these type of cars not have heat or something? like just turning on heat the same way you would AC? it confuses me so bad lol
Haha yes the van has heat. I just don’t leave the vehicle running while I’m parked over night. Therefore, it gets quite cold without any heat! Having a secondary heater solves that issue
@@JuliaBrooke ohh omg thank you for clearing that up lol i’ve always been so confused! i used to wake up in the middle of the night and turn my car on if it got too cold and just let it warm up a bit

@@JuliaBrooke Im young strong and athletic but I dont talk, your being alone vanlifer is eating your mental stability (thats a fact) you need to see a psychiatrist otherwise sooner or later Mental Hospital will be looking for you. Excessive talking is a symptom associated with multiple problems with mental health. Common disorders associated with overtalking include ADHD, anxiety, bipolar, and personality disorders.(cant deny science)
