Well, since you used Gold HHA Trophies & Gold HHA Plaques in each room, maybe you should've also used GOLD Wallpaper & GOLD Flooring in each room?
Also, maybe you could've put Gold HHA Trophies on GOLD Wall-Mounted Shelves?
Next time you should do “how long does it take to get an island full of weeds ( every tile possible must have a weed on it)without placing any weeds you get from nmt, friends islands, etc. Natural weeds only!

It's a shame the island rating is only done in star form, instead of also points. Would be interesting to see the highest island score

I wonder if it _is_ a point system and the stars are just rounded versions of that.
Like the points can be an accurate representation of your island score but the game only tells you the score in terms of stars, like one star for every 100,000 points or smth like that.
@@awesomness6775 yeah there will be points to decide what stars you have, but the problem is you can't see that score without looking in the games code.

I got over 150,000 points just by putting random furniture in random spots. Most of it doesn't even have the same color. None of them even fit together.
In New Leaf it seems like the grading and scoring was so much better. I remember getting 1,000,000 points but you actually had to try really hard

villager photos everywhere pn the walls is the best way, since there are over 200 unique ones and they are all lucky. only one of the gold trophies gets you the extra 777 points but every unique photo gives you extra 777 points
Dang, and to think I've just been putting them next to each villager's house to quickly see who lives where, like a chump!

Just FYI, Feng Shui is a concept of Chinese ancient culture, literally meaning wind and water. Some are really just superstitious bullshit but some others do make a lot of sense.
Yeah Feng Shui is more than just "this colour goes here"! It's about rearranging your home in ways that promote positive energy flow. It's still very much a thing in places like Singapore and Hong Kong!
And also needles for some reason.
I hate the HHA because when I time travel, my alt acounts' mailboxes get filled with letters from the HHA. I consider HHA letters to be like spam mail at this point.

Hear me out here, it could maybe get higher by adding specific flooring and walls that boost the score too? As long as those are not included in the item count of each room
Dagnels channel is the best, he makes videos about acnh but doesnt clickbait random update videos or stir a pot of controversy or put anyone down. His videos are really how youtube videos are supposed to be formatted. Hes the best to subscribe to.

I got 600,000+ just by following the HHA guide but now that I watched this video, I'm beginning to wonder what the other players houses look like. I bet you that some of them don't care in decorating the house and only just collected the villagers photos and KK slider albums and put on the wall or in the ground. That's my assumption of their highest HHA score.
EDIT: You were right for at least 3 category items to get the bonus but it only applies 1 item per category so points won't count if their on the same category. I'm also surprised you didn't mention the color bonus, then again, it's going a take a while as you need to be a mathematical genius to understand the color bonus.
In New leaf, it was pretty simple, pick a theme and put as many items in each room as you can. Complete sets in each room packed really tight.
I got around 2.3mil that way if I remember correctly.
I got a super high score just by covering my walls in extra clothes that didn't fit in my inventory-
the real problem is getting actual furniture from nooks cranny

Lol i have a bed smack dab in the middle of my main room from when Luna gave you the dream suite bed. i put it out just to see how it looked and never bothered to store it away
I only have one bed in my entire house and I have an s score lol
@@paintingstarss I put all of the frozen stuff in that main room, including the bed and ended up getting over 200 thousand from HHA for the first time. I spoke too soon😆
My island looks trash but my house keeps getting an extremely high score (S rankinh). It’s way easier to decorate my house than my island

Same lol. I like the "build mode" when ur in ur house. Makes it wayyyy easier to put things down exactly where and in the exact orientation you want them.
@@taylorbritt499 this is so true, the build mode makes it SO MUCH easier. Plus they actually show how much space each thing will take up and indicate where you’re about to place the thing. Can’t stand that there’s nothing that like outside of one’s house.

I remember the first time I got the gold HHA trophy was because I had run out of storage space and maxed out all my furniture in each room hanging random clothes on the wall to make space until I got another house upgrade. guess the HHA loves seeing 30+ pairs of shoes mounted on the wall

Since they always give so many tips in the letters, I was thinking in my mind that I hadn’t gotten the highest ranking yet even after two years of playing, so I wanted to look into what I could do after seeing another of your videos, only to realize that of course I have been S rank already. Idk why they always have tips, or why I can’t opt out now. 🤣
Ah. I just figured out, how I have an S tier score, even though I have 1 completely undecorated room, and 2 barely decorated rooms, as well as one "just drop it on the floor" room. It's because I have 15 villager pictures hung up on my friendship trophy wall, as well as my actual trophies displayed...... The more you know
I got over 546,000 points in house that I has every villager photo that I won on a twitch stream.
I remember when I was a kid, I used to play A LOT Animal crossing city folk from the wii. I started playing at a very young age at the point I didn’t knew how to read and my mom would have to read the stuff that Tom nook would tell me, the issue was she wasn’t always at home and I sometimes has to guess what the fuck my villagers were talking about.

the 170 item limit seems like it would be possible to optimise the score by giving each bonus an average score per item. I think each HHA trophy was worth like 1277, so if there was a set of 4 items worth 400 each, and gives 4000 bonus points, that would be an average of 1400 per item: higher than the HHA trophies. I'm curious how many of these combinations exist and if we could calculate the definitive highest possible score with that.
I was able to achieve S ranking in HHA with only the first three expansions to my house simply because I had a lot of furniture per room
each room had a sort of theme I set once I built them so it was easy to arrange what I wanted and still manage to be able to move around.
And I thought hitting 200,000 was rough

Ah, so this explains how my poorly thought out house is at 93k points.
Back in the day when the first dupe glitch still existed, I found the royal crown in my able sisters, so I duped the 30k bell Nintendo Switch I got from the mail, to make money to afford it.
I then proceeded to duplicate the crown too to become rich, and as a meme, filled one of my rooms entirely with royal crowns, the walls too. Apparently they counted towards one or two of the themes and gave me lotsa points.
Time to fill a second room with them I guess. If they really contributed to most of my score, I should be able to reach 150k
