I beg to differ, as Sherb is a literal murderer. The first time he gave me a gift, he said that he built it on his last island, it then turned out to be a gravestone. Not only that but he hacked into my nook stop and found out how many miles I had. This "innocent" goat is trying to kill me. He is constantly watching my villagers from corners staring at them and only leaving when I show up. He is constantly plotting murder therefore making him the most dangerous villager in animal crossing.
I love how Backseat puts every song name at the time it starts playing ! you never see this factor in videos so i just wanted to point this out! I also love how Backseat edits the music with what’s happening in the video, for example; at the beginning of the video where he was making a little scenario with danganronpa music and when he says “or just do nothing” the music drops. Very nice detail idk i just noticed this and thought it was cool
Lucky has a durability score of 10+. He is not a mummy. He is a dog that keeps having life threatening accidents and continues to wander around and be fully functional despite an injury count of "everything". He's entirely covered in bandage and cast and yet he's at top form. He is an implacable monster that survives everything that can possibly be thrown at him.
The fighting ability score determines how well your island can defend itself, and the edibility score determines how much other islands will want to attack yours

I’m kinda curious about how the living object/nonbiologicaly made villagers would fair. Like, Stitches is a pretty flimsy guy, but on the other hand, he doesn’t have any actual ORGANS, therefore, if he got slashed or shot at, theoretically he could scamper off and repair himself with a simple needle, thread, and stuffing combo. Not to mention, who’s to say some of the villagers (Ex: Rodeo, Coco, Ankha) don’t have magical powers or abilities of some sort? I doubt a bunch of pirates with swords or even guns could stand much of a chance against an angry bull mage or, worse, ancient Egyptian curses. If a mummy dog like lucky and a living haniwa like coco can exist, I think we can say some kinds of magic exist in the AC world.
Yeah! Magic totally exists in the Animal Crossing world. Well, for starters, you have haunted art, magic wands, and a fortune teller character that actually tells your fortune accurately.
We should give points to the villagers with violent or crime specific themes, like Marlo (who is a mob boss, but scored 7) or Tasha (who is a secret agent, but scored 6). If they can handle things like guns they should've deffinetely moved up some ranks.

In ACNL, there was a minigame you could play called Desert Island Escape where each animal had unique abilities based on their species. The rhinos could literally run obstacles down, horses and ostriches had more stamina, and elephants, lions and gorillas could fight enemies. This video is technically canon.
As much as I LOVE Coco, I’d imagine she’d be lower on the list. Though she can indeed curse you for 10 generations, she’s based off of haniwa which is just a clay figure mixed with cremated remains. She’d shatter to pieces just by tripping.
These are the only rankings that are relevant and legitimate in AC. Although Tiansheng should be 1 though, he's literally the Monkey King/Son Goku, and we don't need to watch 50 episodes straight of him doing a Kamehameha to know it.
I feel like it's going to be between Byakuya, Tsumugi, Teruteru, and possibly even Chiaki- Edit (11/24/21): I'm going to state why I think those four are going to be the most hired now- Byakuya isn't going to be the type of person to be hired, he hires people. (/hj) But really, the more people who works for him more, the much more companies people would like to collaborate with his and give theirs attention. Tsumugi could make any costumes from any fictional character, and can even act exactly like them, so she'd get tons of people hiring her for cosplays, conventions, and simply helping their store/company get tons of attention. Teruteru could definitely work at even the wealthiest of companies and make gourmet food, and sometimes he could even be the one sponsoring other companies during events and such. And last but not the least, Chiaki Nanami, she could stream any game and people would donate to her a bunch (especially the simps), not to mention game-testing/beta-testing earns you a lot of money if you do it often.
Did the sheep villagers get the padded bonus? Cause they seemed a little lower then I expected. Sheep wool is extremely thick, and they can grow a *lot* really quick, so not only can they take a hot, if you have some prep time, they can actually pad up your whole island.

why did Drift and Raddle score so low? they are both highly poisonous frogs and they deserve a higher spot. Also Spike's horns is covered in Gold which should give him a weapons boost
Very poisonous yes...but it requires getting bitten or being eaten. Idk, having a defensive mechanism that results in you being injured or killed isn't a great one.
Pretty sure the #1 spot should go to Tiansheng, he’s literally the Monkey God. Fighting devils is just a side gig for him. Ur island is pretty much top level security with him.
I feel like you should have given some kind of additional even higher weaponry multiplier for folks with like, actual, literal weaponry they could easily access such as the retired military folks, the mob boss, or the Viking who DEFINITELY has a war ax stashed somewhere. It just feels odd for 'black magic' to score the same as 'has a horn', you know?
Personally, I think tabby should get a 2.5x multiplier in the Intimidation category because I was playing Happy Home Designer, and Tabby literally asked me to create an "old scary hospital" and recommended I play K.K. Dirge on a phonograph in there.

Now I have to disagree with you on the part about Joey being cannon fodder. You see, Joey is the god of Animal Crossing. He could easily wipe out every species with the blink of an eye. He appears sweet and childish, but that is a farce. If fed enough Spaghetti Carbonera, Joey will reveal who he really is. The results are more shocking than the little info I have put here. Also I like the part above Coco "The cuddly SCP" That's actually what I think of when i see her
I think special quirks like camofrog having well... camo should count for at least something. or a villager who acts a a nurse could be more helpful in battle as sort of the healer of the group which coul d also count for some sort of bonus. other examples include Boomer's military background, villagers who have some form of martial arts incorporated with their design, or villagers that keep weaponry related items in their house.
Great video! although, I would argue that jock, uchi/older sister personality types would be more capable of fighting than snooty and cranky due to the implied age of the latter being elderly and snooty being too classy to be well suited for combat.

He'll be unstoppable until the halfway through the battle, where he sacrifices himself to save Rooney from death. Then Rooney will leave the battle to train, and return 7 years later in order to wipe out the enemy
it's a good question, to be sure, but i think any scenario considering the overall chances of an island caught in the grips of a life-or-death scenario has to consider the resident representative-chances are they're packing an axe

The algorithm suggested this video and I’m hooked. Your style and content reminds me so much of Polygon’s Unravelled series which ended earlier this year. Less chaotic but just as informative and entertaining.
This is a fantastic follow-up to your last Animal Crossing video. I kind of want to cross-reference both lists to see who'd be most likely to survive the island breaking down into a state of chaos.
Without intending it, these lists are kind-of flipped on their heads, with the best scorers of Edibility ranking low for fighting and so on. I wonder if any managed to score high on both... maybe the cows?
Merengue < 0 Zucker < 0 Marshal = 0 Agnes = 6 Punchy = 6 Rudy (my favorite, my adorable little son who I love and adore) = 6 Olivia = 12 Gayle = 15 Octavian = 18 Whitney = 20 TOTAL: 83. Zucker’s gonna get eaten like the takoyaki he is, Merengue will be as sturdy as her namesake, and Marshal will be too busy sipping espresso to deal with anyone. Hell, he might invite them over for a cup. Agnes would get a weak hit in before she becomes bacon, Punchy would sooner get punched before landing one of his own, and even though my boy works out on the regular, Rudy would just be outmuscled by the rest. Olivia and Gayle would team up to tackle the toughest tusslers in our territory and do a terrific job for a time, but their paired power would prove too puny and ultimately pointless against the primitive prowess of their pursuers. Octavian, seeing his cephalopod brother-in-eight-arms fall so early on in the fight, tags in to avenge him. For a time Octavian was the strongest octopus on the island, dealing massive damage to the left, taking out the weaker opponents to the right, holding his own from every angle… until he came face to face with a new challenger: Cephalobot! That mechanized kraken made quick work of his cranky foe, turning him into another delicious dish to serve alongside the brother he tried to avenge. And finally, after witnessing all the carnage that played out before her, she knew it was up to her to defend Red Sakura Island… it was now Whitney’s turn to enter the fray! With a great howl that reached the full moon beaming down on the battleground, she leapt into action, tearing through assailants with insane amounts of bloodlust and rage coursing through her veins. Her claws ripped through the fur-covered flesh of the smaller prey, while her sharp fangs pierced through the thicker hides of the elephants and rhinos. Before long, however, she would grow tired after battling for so long without any aid from her other villager neighbors. And, like the rest, she would meet her match against another wolf - the leader of the wolf gang: Wolfgang. After a moment of pacing around, catching their breath, sizing each other up, the two would duke it out for wolf supremacy under the silver glow of the full moon above them. They howl at each other, at which point they sprint towards each other at breakneck speed - SLASH!!! But who landed the killing blow?! They stand several meters apart facing away from each other, neither one moving after they stopped. After a few seconds, Whitney collapses, her throat having been slashed through. Wolfgang falls to his knees, completely exhausted after all the fighting and this finale against Whitney, but proud and relieved to defend his title of the leader of the pack. Hope you enjoyed this late-night fan fic of my villagers in a fight :)

why did Drift and Raddle score so low? they are both highly poisonous frogs and they deserve a higher spot. Also Spike's horns is covered in Gold which should give him a weapons boost
Gold is actually very fragile. Much more fragile than the calcium bone most horns are made out of
Drift and Raddle both got max points for Weaponry thanks to their poison, however many more things held them back sadly!
Very poisonous yes...but it requires getting bitten or being eaten.
Idk, having a defensive mechanism that results in you being injured or killed isn't a great one.

I feel like you should have given some kind of additional even higher weaponry multiplier for folks with like, actual, literal weaponry they could easily access such as the retired military folks, the mob boss, or the Viking who DEFINITELY has a war ax stashed somewhere. It just feels odd for 'black magic' to score the same as 'has a horn', you know?

My island somehow scored a 99 and it’s all thanks to Rodeo pulling in a solid 20 points by himself. I will be shoulder to shoulder with my Black Magic Bull once the Gulliver invasions begin!
My island has a combined 107 points. Though it was mostly Wolfgang and Apollo doing the heavy lifting.

Now I have to disagree with you on the part about Joey being cannon fodder. You see, Joey is the god of Animal Crossing. He could easily wipe out every species with the blink of an eye. He appears sweet and childish, but that is a farce. If fed enough Spaghetti Carbonera, Joey will reveal who he really is. The results are more shocking than the little info I have put here.

I think special quirks like camofrog having well... camo should count for at least something. or a villager who acts a a nurse could be more helpful in battle as sort of the healer of the group which coul d also count for some sort of bonus. other examples include Boomer's military background, villagers who have some form of martial arts incorporated with their design, or villagers that keep weaponry related items in their house.
Great video! although, I would argue that jock, uchi/older sister personality types would be more capable of fighting than snooty and cranky due to the implied age of the latter being elderly and snooty being too classy to be well suited for combat.
I feel like the snoots would have the ethos in the Aristocats of "ladies don't start fights - but they can FINISH THEM"

To answer this: Chrissy is Peppy which loses her three points at step three. But then Francine is Snooty which gains her 4 points, creating a 7 point divide.
I find Francine to be snootier than average for some reason. She sounds really mean in all interactions I had with her

it's a good question, to be sure, but i think any scenario considering the overall chances of an island caught in the grips of a life-or-death scenario has to consider the resident representative-chances are they're packing an axe

The algorithm suggested this video and I’m hooked. Your style and content reminds me so much of Polygon’s Unravelled series which ended earlier this year. Less chaotic but just as informative and entertaining.
This is a fantastic follow-up to your last Animal Crossing video. I kind of want to cross-reference both lists to see who'd be most likely to survive the island breaking down into a state of chaos.
Without intending it, these lists are kind-of flipped on their heads, with the best scorers of Edibility ranking low for fighting and so on. I wonder if any managed to score high on both... maybe the cows?

Zucker’s gonna get eaten like the takoyaki he is, Merengue will be as sturdy as her namesake, and Marshal will be too busy sipping espresso to deal with anyone. Hell, he might invite them over for a cup.
Agnes would get a weak hit in before she becomes bacon, Punchy would sooner get punched before landing one of his own, and even though my boy works out on the regular, Rudy would just be outmuscled by the rest.
Olivia and Gayle would team up to tackle the toughest tusslers in our territory and do a terrific job for a time, but their paired power would prove too puny and ultimately pointless against the primitive prowess of their pursuers.
Octavian, seeing his cephalopod brother-in-eight-arms fall so early on in the fight, tags in to avenge him. For a time Octavian was the strongest octopus on the island, dealing massive damage to the left, taking out the weaker opponents to the right, holding his own from every angle… until he came face to face with a new challenger: Cephalobot! That mechanized kraken made quick work of his cranky foe, turning him into another delicious dish to serve alongside the brother he tried to avenge.
And finally, after witnessing all the carnage that played out before her, she knew it was up to her to defend Red Sakura Island… it was now Whitney’s turn to enter the fray! With a great howl that reached the full moon beaming down on the battleground, she leapt into action, tearing through assailants with insane amounts of bloodlust and rage coursing through her veins. Her claws ripped through the fur-covered flesh of the smaller prey, while her sharp fangs pierced through the thicker hides of the elephants and rhinos.
Before long, however, she would grow tired after battling for so long without any aid from her other villager neighbors. And, like the rest, she would meet her match against another wolf - the leader of the wolf gang: Wolfgang. After a moment of pacing around, catching their breath, sizing each other up, the two would duke it out for wolf supremacy under the silver glow of the full moon above them. They howl at each other, at which point they sprint towards each other at breakneck speed -
SLASH!!! But who landed the killing blow?! They stand several meters apart facing away from each other, neither one moving after they stopped. After a few seconds, Whitney collapses, her throat having been slashed through. Wolfgang falls to his knees, completely exhausted after all the fighting and this finale against Whitney, but proud and relieved to defend his title of the leader of the pack.
