Ohhh please film a studio clean up. Those videos are so satisfying this time of year. Like a build up and preparation to spring and all it's glorious, hectic chaos.
I so love and appreciate receiving the videos early with my membership! Love your channel, love visiting with you Laura, and your sweet dear family!!🩵🩷♥️♥️♥️
Girl, your smile and energy are the reasons I keep coming back to this channel. Of course you’re talented and knowledgeable at your job, that’s obvious. But the joy with which you do it is just uplifting. Thank you so much!
I don’t know why - but I feel this is going to be an amazing year for Garden Answer. So many possibilities, starting with beautiful succulent arrangements.
Laura, you can use a small wet/dry vacuum to get the extra water out of the trays. And yes, it would be nice to have a plug on those for drainage. But until then, manual extraction.
HI LAURA! GUESS WHAT… MY HUBBY SURPRISED ME WITH A LAURA EDITION POWER PLANTER AUGER FOR CHRISTMAS!! 💚 I was so excited. I can’t wait for spring to get here 😊
Your videos have gone from my breakfast videos to my evening videos. I fall asleep thinking about gardening. Love it! The succulents look great! Can’t wait to see the projects you could do with them. Whatever happened to the forms you had once upon a time with succulents? Maybe a fun project to do with the kids some day!
What a fun unpacking! I learned about Mountain Crest from watching you and have ordered from them several times for both myself and for as gifts. I love their service and their plants. I have a hard time not overwatering succulents, but I think maybe that syringe would be the answer. Thank you so much for referencing the equipment you use so viewers can find them. Can’t wait to see what you do with everything! P.S. We just lost both of our senior kitties recently and I love getting my “fix” seeing your furry pals. Happy New Year.
I’ve been watching since the beginning and finally decided to be a member. 👏🏼 I was excited to see a new vid but what will I watch in the morning with my coffee?!😆
Well, hello, Cheddar! Looking hale and hearty this morning, old boy. Those are some very lovely succulents. Would one of your projects be the resurrection of Harris? Perhaps in time for Easter? Just wondering. ~ Lisa
I set my watering can under a downspout (to catch rain water for plants...orginally), but it doesn't matter how many clean bowls of water I have outside for when my kitties are out they inevitably drink the rainwater out of watering can😂, (that and puddles, saucers, my glass😮, etc.) So Russel snagging a sip out of watering can was such a "YEP" moment😊, lol!
👋 im not sure how i missed this video, probably because I was watching your older videos lol. These succulents are stunny, makes me want to order some. I need A syringe like that one for my succulents. Thank you Laura for sharing this video have a nice rest of the day. 🙂👋🌱
Time for ☕️ . Time for Laura. Happy Monday morning from GA USA. The packing list reminds me of the chocolate “map“ on the lid of Whitman‘s sampler boxes! I have been following MCG since your unboxing video last year. My husband thanks you for “feeding“ my addiction 😉😉
If you figure out a system for quicker watering with your grow stand please be sure to share. I'm always trying to figure out a faster way to water my succulents and that seems like a good idea. Looking forward to more succulent videos!😊
You might be able to use something like Sticky Tack, the stuff teachers use to hang stuff on walls, to plug the drain holes. It molds like clay and it's easy to pinch off just the amount you need.
Beautiful plants, can't wait to see what you do with them. So glad to see Cheddar, I feel like every since Douglas stayed, we see less of Russell and Cheddar. I know Cheddar doesn't like Douglas and I feel like Douglas hangs out with you more and Russell and Cheddar stay away. Anyways it did my heart good to get to see Cheddar. Also yes please film a cleanup video of the studio.
There is so much in the greenhouse that i think should be in the Hartley ! The olives and citrus.😂 Put a peice of aquarium tubing on that syringe it'll make that a little easier
Thank you for the lead on Mountain Crest Gardens, I too was impressed with the quality of the it plants. Immediately placed an order. Fan in Bozeman, MT.
I love these! Inspired me to go check the availability of bulk succulents here in NZ. ☹️ I can't believe there's nothing available. So, I'll just enjoy watching your projects involving these.💜
The succulents looks. Beautiful. ❤ I have a succulents kitchen window. The window has. 3 glass shelves custom built. Each shelf has 9 plants. I Water my succulents the same way as you do ❤
Do it! Figure out how to rig the trays so you can bottom water and then drain excess. I know you can and I know it will be fantastic and I also know that there are a few of us who really need to know how to do the same thing. Thanks and happy new year!
Love all the beautiful succulents! I have many of the same varieties. Mountain Crest does a really great job. I have found that using 16 ounce condiment bottles (with adjustable opening tips) purchased just for watering succulents are so helpful at keeping the water off the leaves as well. Thanks for sharing your order with us! 🤗
13:42 My local nursery waters all of their annuals and perennials this way. They have huge tables made by orlandelli group. Every time I am there I always think I can’t believe Laura doesn’t have something like this!
Omg why did you do this to me! Now I want to order from mountain crest! They really do a spectacular job! You influenced me in the past when you made the beautiful vertical garden with the copper water pot! Not to mention all the fun fairy gardens! I had so much fun with succulents because of you! Can’t wait to see what you do with these!
Thank you Laura for teaching us about these beautiful plants.. You have special talents. BTW Iare horse drawn carriage tours of the gardens in our future?
I recently got a smaller order from them and I’m so jealous seeing that your baby toes succulent survived shipping 😅 the trays are gorgeous, I’m hoping to order from them again soon!
I recently got a gift of large planter with a mixed variety of succulents. I've never had luck with them before, but these are growing & multiplying like crazy! I believe I loved mine to death previously, too.😂 They are enjoying living outdoors in the Florida sun. It's been very cool at night, warming up during the day. Enjoyed the video & loved seeing the variety of plants. Great to know the source, too. Good day, all.🙋♀️
Succulents are not on my have to have list, but I think they are beautiful. I just don't have a love for them. That said, I do enjoy seeing your love of them and the joy you get opening those boxes! I'm having a difficult time right now, and watching you gives me a little distraction! Thank you❤😔
GOOD MORNING - i enjoy these type of plants. Saw some that were bright red pink, purple, spotted green, zebra, and some yellow. I've been buying these for a long time. Enjoyed your show. Thank you, and take care. ❤
Gorgeous Succulents! ❤ I love Succulents but I’m never quite sure how much water they need. 🤔 I will look forward to seeing the projects you have in mind for them.
The succulents are so beautiful and I can't wait to see what amazing projects your will do with them Laura! I'm thinking that you may have already explored this, but have you thought about installing an in-line water filter on your greenhouse and studio water supply lines?
Last year Restoration Hardware had an amazing succulent pot /bowl for sale. The pot was BIG and beautiful, planted with all the same succulents. It really was lovely but not $500-$600. lovely. I am going to plant my own. Fan in Bozeman, MT
Thanks for sharing the opening of the succulent boxes, truly beautiful! I bought succulents last year after watching you on your channel. I learn so much, thank you for sharing, seriously. Now that I am retired, I have time for FUN and that means having plants and learning how to take care of them. You save me time and money so I don't have to do everything by trial and error. Your plant selections (all types, indoor and outdoor) have directed me in how to choose. Thanks Laura, you are so knowledgeable and very pleasant , just a treasure!!!!
I love it when you unbox new plant's, its so exciting. The succulents are all so pretty, i love the ones that looks like little roses and of course the sting of pearls are my favorite.
I plant my succulents directly in mesh 1020 trays from bootstrap farmer and set the trays inside watertight 1020 trays. You can pour water in the bottom, let them drink, then lift them out and dump out what’s left.
Those MCG succulents are absolutely gorgeous! Since you have so much trouble with the hard water, have you ever thought of installing a water softener system for your property? It would be great for your house and greenhouses! Not sure of the cost, though.
I think they have a softener for their house. I just moved to a house with a well and softener, and from what I’ve read, plants don’t like softened water because of the sodium content. I don’t know how important it is, but I’ve been bringing in water from an outdoor, non-softened water spigot to water my houseplants.
Now that it is “house plant season”, would you give us an update on all your houseplants in the Hartley? It’s been a while since you’ve showcased them, especially the ones on the plant stand on the floor, and you’ve gotten so many new ones too!
We have the same terrible hard water issues here in Utah. We had the typical salt softener in our home. I got sick and tired of having to use the fridge water (not salt soft water), and still getting hard water spots on my houseplants. I discovered a few years ago a water softener (conditioner) that does not use salt, it uses citrus instead. It’s totally safe for houseplants, has the same benefits as a salt softener, but where salt softeners kill houseplants this one is completely safe for houseplants. It’s the NuvoH2O system. It’s small and could possibly fit under the counter in your Hartley. That would help a ton with water spots on your houseplants because you can get water on the leaves and it doesn’t leave spots.
I purchased a small greenhouse from Costco this summer..I was nervous that it would get very cold in it in CT .. but it seems to be fine for over wintering some plants.. now I’m looking forward to starting some seeds towards the end of winter.. no electricity in it❤ Thanks for the inspiration 🌱🪴🌾
I’m so happy that you shared the shot of the studio at the end… I think we all are cleaning up and packing away after Christmas, and we have the organizing bug…
Beautiful succulents and love the syringe. I use a turkey basted that is allocated for plants only. The turkey baster is also convenient if get too much water in tray as can suck it right out.
Have you ever had mealybug or powdery mildew on your succulents? If yes, how did you eradicate them? Or did you just toss the infected plant out? I love your unboxing of succulents in winter 🥰 such excitement and the beautiful variations!

I so love and appreciate receiving the videos early with my membership! Love your channel, love visiting with you Laura, and your sweet dear family!!🩵🩷♥️♥️♥️
Beautiful plants. During the summer you received 100 or so succulents. What happened to them?
Girl, your smile and energy are the reasons I keep coming back to this channel. Of course you’re talented and knowledgeable at your job, that’s obvious. But the joy with which you do it is just uplifting. Thank you so much!
Laura you are so good for my mental health! Love watching you in the morning!
I don’t know why - but I feel this is going to be an amazing year for Garden Answer. So many possibilities, starting with beautiful succulent arrangements.
HA! I heard FedEx and Succulents in the recap video this morning so YAY!
I did too. What a bonus for today.
I do not mind watching this again tomorrow!! The succulents are very pretty and it was nice to see Cheddar again!
OOOOooo!! Fairy gardens in the offing?????😍😍
I can’t wait for spring to get here 😊
Seeing all the little plants lined up in rows is so adorable..look forward to the upcoming projects 👍👏😊
Yes, I’m curious about the dress form loaded with succulents that I believe ended up down at the garden center.
We all should love our jobs like Laura and Aaron. Wouldn’t everyone be more pleasant?
I laughed so loud when Cheddar was drinking from the watering can. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅. Amazing video. Great quirkiness too

I'm so sorry for your loss of your fur babies. May your memories help you during this difficult time.
Laura and Aaron- this video hit all the feels at the perfect time of winter! Have a wonderful day!
I’ve been watching since the beginning and finally decided to be a member. 👏🏼 I was excited to see a new vid but what will I watch in the morning with my coffee?!😆

Laura you are so smart! You should design a draining tray. I would buy one!
If you figure out a system for quicker watering with your grow stand please be sure to share. I'm always trying to figure out a faster way to water my succulents and that seems like a good idea. Looking forward to more succulent videos!😊
So pretty ❤ I love mountain crest gardens ❤
I’m not a succulent plant lover. I find it funny how excited Laura gets at seeing these. I still watch. 😂
You might be able to use something like Sticky Tack, the stuff teachers use to hang stuff on walls, to plug the drain holes. It molds like clay and it's easy to pinch off just the amount you need.
Love all the new colorful succulents. Can't wait to see how you use them. You are so creative. I so enjoy your videos.
Beautiful plants, can't wait to see what you do with them. So glad to see Cheddar, I feel like every since Douglas stayed, we see less of Russell and Cheddar. As always, so enjoyable, thank you for bringing us all along. It’s always a wonderful way to start the day.
Love all the succulents but especially string of pearls and the rosette shaped plants. That's a lot of planting!!
Thank you for sharing how to care for flower plants, friend
Very cool unboxing!
Laura, you should make the plug in the tray and market it!
Thank you for the lead on Mountain Crest Gardens, I too was impressed with the quality of the it plants. Immediately placed an order. Fan in Bozeman, MT.
I'm pretty sure the Bonus mystery plant is some mini kind of a tradescantia
Ha! Fort Jones, CA! That's where I'm from [postal code] in a little neighborhood called Mugginsville.

Hi Laura! Those succulents are really pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them. Thank you so much for sharing!
What a great plant fix! Wouldn’t the echoveria (sp?) mix make a great heart-shaped planter for Valentine’s Day?! 💚💚💚
Things you never thought you'd hear-- Laura saying " snot sucker"!!! Keeping it real!
Do it! Figure out how to rig the trays so you can bottom water and then drain excess. I know you can and I know it will be fantastic and I also know that there are a few of us who really need to know how to do the same thing. Thanks and happy new year!

You are not alone at Alllll…. Keeping it real😂❤
My favorite plants are cacti, succulents, dwarf coniferous trees and dwarf palms.
Laura a soft bristle paint brush will do the same without a lot less mess. Just a suggestion. I never thought to use a snot sucker tool.
Such beautiful plants! I am looking forward to the upcoming projects using these.
Thanks Laura for showing these Succulents these are my favourite, cannot wait to see the projects you do with these plants.
