I’m so glad you’re starting a new project. I’ve learned so much from your channel and seriously appreciate all you do. I have twenty acres of ugly right now after leaving a beautiful 10 acres of perfect gardens beautiful trees and a huge pond that disappeared around large lush green hills. We put thirty years of hard work and love into our place and yes It’s a bittersweet that we decided to move away from our home we truly loved and raised four boys in. We have a Hartley going in around June or July, that makes me so excited and the house we just moved into is just beautiful. The land I have no idea what I’m going to do with yet, because we actually just moved in. I had 12 yards of compost delivered, so here we go. That’s not going to go far but I have to start somewhere and I hope in about three years I can start to see this blank canvas come to life. 🙏

So very exciting! It's such fun to see your mind work when your creative juices are running. Your excitement and glee is very contagious too!! I agree with another viewer who suggested lamplights at the end of the pathway...that would be beautiful and draw you all in for evening walks. YES, a Winter Garden would be perfect!! Also agree that even though the house isn't balanced, balancing landscape on either side will visually help it look more balanced. GREAT ideas Laura, can't wait to see it begin and evolve!!

I think finding a spot for an El Nino Chitalpa would be high on my list. Somewhere close enough to smell while sitting by the fountain. That would be an awesome place to relax! Thanks for sharing. This was so much fun!❤❤

I think your idea will look incredible. I know it will take some time to build the area, but I can't wait to see how it's going to look.

This was so helpful. We’re doing a home remodel & you don’t realize how much they dig up for a porch. But because of Arron I had electric & frostless water put in. Now I can google earth & really plan my garden

Love to see a concept for a garden. Decision making is very important about how to make the space what you want; symmetrical, cozy and of course beautiful. Can’t wait to see it come together including decisions for changes to a plan. Great episode!

I have learned so much thru your videos about the importance of colors and textures. So when redesigning the front of of our house I incorporated those ideas and found inspirational images that fit the concept I wanted to achieve. Using the those images I researched the shrubs and trees to mimic the overall concept. Since I am such a visual person, I printed mini color pictures and cut them out so I could arrange on a photo of the front of my house before planting in the ground.

I loved this video. Please do more for other areas of the garden during this time of year when there’s not much planting to do. It’s a fun change from watching you plant seeds. 😊

So exciting! I love how you added instant symmetry by mirroring the same planting on both sides of the front door walkway! Im looking forward to watching all the videos!❤

Designing flower beds is my favorite part. I do all mine in Illustrator. No matter how small. I've gotta see the colors all together and do everything to scale so I know everything has room. Then, I huntdown those exact plants. So fun!

Yes to winter garden! My winter garden has evergreens, box, winterberry and rhododendrons underplanted with hellebores, snowdrops and aconites. I recommend a couple of early bloomers for amazing scent - Ozark witch hazel ( the earliest , almost invisible flowers but the scent is a knock out!) and Daphne!

It will be fun to see what you plant. It's going to be spectacular. For the 4 trees, it would be pretty to use the same trees you just planted in the cut flower garden.

I love this idea for that space, i love the way the 2 pots & the stone pathway look like a smiley face from above ☺ I am going to try this idea of drawing out my garden spaces, even if i can only get them cut out & ready for spring. I am so excited for the warm spring weather, getting my hands in the dirt & planting some beauty in my yard. Sending hugs from Kansas🌻
