@@_birdie justin was only to supply the dog and not participate in the filming but due to poor kit the crew had his role grew and they made him a full time member. Ditas character was written for a male dog they didnt change it in the script to not confuse the actors who had done their rehearsals under the name cerberus. And well it stuck.
It's great to see that Cerberus getting the recognition in Seal Team with these awesome clips from the show. And the song Dogs of War fits it magnificently.

I got a Malinois at the end of last year and I’m in the UK. She is one very special dog, I grew up with GSD but she is on another level. I’ve had so much fun training here and building a bond with her. I’m so glad she is a part of my family. Yes they have insane drive and energy, but taught correctly they can be a part of the family. Only destruction so far has been towels and socks thankfully. These dogs are the masters of the dog world and I’m lucky to have one.
for those of you who do not know, Dita and Justin Melnick are actual family. Melnick is the OWNER of Dita and both are sworn Officers of the Dalesville Indiana Police Department. Dita has a sibling now who took over for Dita for SEAL Team, because she was not formerly trained to deal with gunfire and explosions, but her Sibling was.
She is awesome! That Dita is a real working police dog just makes it even better. BUT absolutely not a dog breed for the average owner. Wonderful compilation as always
@Todd Spikes Unfortunately these dogs have become very popular with people who want a working dog to brag about but have neither the time nor the patience to really make sure they get to work. These dogs are ON 24/7, you can't just keep them in a crate while you go working nine to five.
There's a great video on RUclips by a guy who is a trainer of a Belgian malenois. . He holds a tennis ball in his hand and this dog does about 100 tricks just for the tennis ball. You should look it up, it's pretty cool but as the trainer points out, unless you can put up with a dog that's got more energy than most humans know what to do with, don't get one .
@@guestuser1671 exactly! They are built exactly for this. People say this is dog abuse but how is it abuse when it’s in their biology and they are capable have handling this kinda stress. These boys aren’t your local chihuahua they don’t lay around and do nothing all day. In fact keeping dogs like this locked up in your house and backyard is abuse in itself because your holding he/she back on their true potential.

It doesn't matter what you are on this planet every creature needs exercise or to just be active not laying around doing nothing on this planet.
Watching this amazing dog took my breath away. If I was in battle I would definitely want him beside me. People need to remember our 4 legged soldiers and treat them with respect and to treat them exactly like a human when they are injured and need our help. If I was a soldier, I couldn't send in my military dog. They've only got teeth and strength to protect themselves with, whereas we'd have teeth, martials arts and creative combat skills, strength, guns, ammo, and everything else. The fact that we'd have more to protect ourselves with, means that I'd be first into a volatile situation to protect the lives of those who have less to protect themselves with.........and that means elderly, children, babies, but also includes any animals.

When I was a kid our next door neighbor had a 1/2 German Shepherd 1/2 Wolf mix. Burglar made the mistake of targeting their house. One less burglar, but my neighbor complained about how much blood there was to clean.

Cypress Texas has a memorial park for dogs of war that died in service. It's very emotional . I visit it everytime i'm in the area. It's wonderful that these dogs are honored just like the men and woman who died for our county.
I have a Dutch Shepherd which is just a Belgian Malinois with stripes. People ask me what she is like and the only response I can give is one word. More.

Thank you. I loved this. We have a GSD, his brother is border patrol. So glad that this dog is with his handler, its hard for them to transition to day to day life if they end up with people that are not who they trained with or some that knows thier abilities. They must be great friends to those they are stationed with as well. Everyone one of these K-9s should be able to live with thier handlers or if not possible someone who knows and understands them. All veterans and K9 veterans deserve respect and support. None should be forgotten

Specail Operations dogs are whole different deal than what the cops (or even regular military working dogs do (they have a failure rate (and return to regular working do program(s)) about what the SEALS do!) Because they work so often alone they are trained entirely different, they spend enough time just watching out over their people and teams that they are litterally a SMART (HAIR COVERED) MISSILE. I was reading about the special operations dogs, at a Forward Operating base they got a new dog team. The handler informs the team leader that the DOG had decided that his (the team leaders) hootch is his! The team leader tells the handler it ain't going to happen! The handler's response, don't talk to me all you have to do is convince him. Within two days the dog would crash UNDER the team leaders bed (ate a 1/2 inch plywood door off the hinges), within two weeks he was sleeping ON the team leaders bed, he moved to the top bunk! Within a month the team-leader had moved out of the room to let the handler sleep on the top bunk! None of this was at ANY KIND OF DIRECTION of the handler it was the DOG!!! This is MY den and I decide who I WANT to sleep here!

This is the best show i've ever seen, its perfect. I love how the dog is always there doing his thing but they don't make a big deal out of it, the scene where the dog goes jumping and they put goggles and the alegator mask on him had me giglge because it was so cool to see.

Give me goosebumps to watch it, dogs are pure love and loyalty and will break themselves in two to get the job done. Dogs that serve in the military or law enforcement deserve to be called soldiers and should be treated and honored that way. No way should have dog that served in the military end up in a shelter. They should retire with dignity in a comfortable home with all the benefits that any soldier gets. They did their Duty and risk their life and should be honored.

I can say this is exactly what this breed is built for. Its a very hyper dog that needs a LOT of stimuli to keep "happy" .
My GSD will antagonize me until I take her outside and run her through her regime. I'm old and broke down, but she keeps me in shape.
From a cat owner I speak on the behalf of my feline friend with but only two word's MAD RESPECT.

Cypress Texas has a memorial park for dogs of war that died in service. It's very emotional . I visit it everytime i'm in the area. It's wonderful that these dogs are honored just like the men and woman who died for our county.

Justin does such a good job with her. She went for special training to do the ladder thing. She now has a sister, Pepper and I believe the dog passed as they leave camp (early in these clips) is a cousin 😊😊😊😊

Thank you. I loved this. We have a GSD, his brother is border patrol. So glad that this dog is with his handler, its hard for them to transition to day to day life if they end up with people that are not who they trained with or some that knows thier abilities. They must be great friends to those they are stationed with as well. Everyone one of these K-9s should be able to live with thier handlers or if not possible someone who knows and understands them. All veterans and K9 veterans deserve respect and support. None should be forgotten

This is something. In general, Cerberus is like a link in the team. I support the use of a song that played in one of the episodes. In my opinion, when the team was looking for the culprits in the death of their brothers. Fine
To me that is the most awesome tribute to one animal that you could ever do that is of watch this show since it's beginning and this animal is absolutely amazing The training is off the charts and I'm know that the animals that the people use in their armed forces are just as well trained it's really something to see what can be done with these animals

Specail Operations dogs are whole different deal than what the cops (or even regular military working dogs do (they have a failure rate (and return to regular working do program(s)) about what the SEALS do!) Because they work so often alone they are trained entirely different, they spend enough time just watching out over their people and teams that they are litterally a SMART (HAIR COVERED) MISSILE. I was reading about the special operations dogs, at a Forward Operating base they got a new dog team. The handler informs the team leader that the DOG had decided that his (the team leaders) hootch is his! The team leader tells the handler it ain't going to happen! The handler's response, don't talk to me all you have to do is convince him. Within two days the dog would crash UNDER the team leaders bed (ate a 1/2 inch plywood door off the hinges), within two weeks he was sleeping ON the team leaders bed, he moved to the top bunk! Within a month the team-leader had moved out of the room to let the handler sleep on the top bunk! None of this was at ANY KIND OF DIRECTION of the handler it was the DOG!!! This is MY den and I decide who I WANT to sleep here!

This is the best show i've ever seen, its perfect. I love how the dog is always there doing his thing but they don't make a big deal out of it, the scene where the dog goes jumping and they put goggles and the alegator mask on him had me giglge because it was so cool to see.

Give me goosebumps to watch it, dogs are pure love and loyalty and will break themselves in two to get the job done. Dogs that serve in the military or law enforcement deserve to be called soldiers and should be treated and honored that way. No way should have dog that served in the military end up in a shelter. They should retire with dignity in a comfortable home with all the benefits that any soldier gets. They did their Duty and risk their life and should be honored.
