    Love the new Q&A video can finally hear you guys. And just a heads up the Zippy compact 4s 3700mah is smaller than their 3200mah gets longer flight time and is lighter as well. Even the Zippy compact 4s 5000 fits in there and balances I prefer the Spectrum 2200 4S smart battery because that one is light and it's awesome for 3D but the other ones are great for you and when you're on a budget and you want to get more flights in and not spend an arm and a leg on batteries literally only 25 bucks a piece. Been using them for years and ducted fan jets with much more amp draw with no issues at all.

    Thank You for updating this video.
    This is a much better representation of your international multi-million dollar company.
    Very nice airplane also. The bottom load batteries cause too much hanger rash.

    Very cool airplane! Love how it looks on the ground as well as up in the air. I finally took mine out for a spin yesterday, we finally have had nice enough weather to fly. Unfortunately I need to figure out how to straighten the tail wheel so that the airplane will track straight on take-off and landing. I hate that it wants to turn right on the ground and if I compensate it flies briefly to the left once it's up in the air.

  • @10fantic

    Only con I see would be the bottom battery access. It's much easier to have it on top, not bottom. You can leave the plane on its wheels to swap batteries. Also is the 636 receiver with the bnf version firmware locked.....again?

  • @foxprogt

    Cool! The beefed up electronics make up for the lack of floats and since the original Timber wing can bolt on to this model, Timber X is the one i think id get.

  • @ludlekill
    @ludlekill 5 лет назад

    Excelent ! I realy like the fact that we can use both wings on both planes ! Then I can use the original timber wings with the slats glued on to have my STOL capabilities and just buy the new wings to have a little more fun when I want !

    Those ailerons and flaps are absolutely humongous!!! I just ordered one and I’m waiting for it to arrive but I think I am absolutely in love with the size of the flaps in Ailerons

    I currently have a case open with Horizon and they've been responsive, but the Timber x I just bought has servos that don't return to center/neutral (unless I do it with stick). All3 control surfaces do it, but rudder is the worst and most noticeable. Tried a different spektrum tx, different spektrum rx, and no change. Tried new servos and that helped and made it flyable but it still kinda does it. Anyone else have this? I think they're sending me new servos.

    Jason where would you recommend the CG for the best 3D capability? Like on the flight video what were the pilots using for their CG? I've only been able to get mine back to 85mm it's been great for everything but hovering so far which I think my CG is to nose heavy.

    Would you recommend this plane to a beginner pilot? I don’t have the budget to purchase the apprentice and then the timber. Thanks.

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 5 лет назад

      Check out Tower Hobbies easy pay upay three separate payments within three months no interest or bull I use it all the time otherwise I wouldn't be able to get some of the planes that I get.
      It would only cost you $88 a month and you can also get some batteries on easy pay as well.
      It's not by any means a beginner playing but with the safe technology it makes it easier but you would really want somebody there to help you trimming out a plane and getting it up the first time and landing and taking off is what you going to bite you in the but. That's the hardest part with that said if you got some hours of flight simulator time then you shouldn't have no trouble.

    Alright serious question will you guys sell the decale sheet for the timber X. I would love to put those decals on my regular timber...👍👍

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 5 лет назад

      I know right I was thinking about getting the turbo Timber wing or the regular Timber wing and swap it for those stickers that way I can use the longer wing for when I want to cruise around and get more flight time and put the timber X Wing back on when I want to fly more aggressive and also I would like to get the stickers to put on the timber floats that way it matches my Timber X. I've seen some people do it so I'm sure they sell the stickers somewhere or you can have Callie graphics print them out for you

    Hey. I bought a dx6 with receiver, can I still bind the controller to the pnp airplane?

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 5 лет назад

      Yes you can you can bind it to any Spectrum bind and fly or any Spectrum receiver and you can load a bunch of models on your radio as well says it right on the manual. A lot of people throw build manuals away from their airplanes that's fine but and then you on the radio is something you should definitely read. With that said have a happy Fourth of July

    Does the BNF version work with multi-protocol transmitters like Jumper TSG8?

    • @harpoon_bakery162
      @harpoon_bakery162 3 года назад

      I think you have to have a SpeKKRum transmitter if you go with the BNF. For example, i have a FlySky transmitter, i would very much doubt that it would bind up with the included receiver in the Bind-N-Fly model since the receiver that's pre-installed in the TIMBER-X BNF version is made by SpekkRum.

      Get a plane stand then it's a piece of cake to blow the battery. Seriously it's not a deal-breaker for me this thing performs better than any stole airplane out there not to mention it Rivals some of the very good 3D planes as well

    Newbie here, do you have to have a spectrum radio?

    • @FarmerFpv
      @FarmerFpv 5 лет назад

      I know you don't but you would have to buy the Plug and Play version and put your own receiver in it. But then you won't get the as3x and safe technology that's built into their receivers. And depending what radio you have it might have a Jr Port where you can get a dsmx module for the back of it and bind directly to it next time you post a question like that post which radio you have.

  • @keithphillips1234
    @keithphillips1234 4 года назад

    Guess what, this is my first plane and I have done very well once in the air safe is turned off and it’s loops rolls and high speed passes. This is all thank to the AS3X If I get into a bind I’ll use safe and to land I’ll use safe. I fly mine only on 3s 2200. This plane is very beginner friendly.
