Even tho this SUV is very old it still feels somewhat modern I can’t wait to see a future redesign
I agree with you!
Best channel period. Best car reviewer and no stupid ads like every other channel.
Happy New Year Joe! We picked up a 2021 Nissan Armada SL in March. Funny to see my interior down to the mid row captain seats and the key fob looks the same. I’ll admit the Infiniti interior material is nicer, but we have the same engine and I paid $57k.
You dont look as cool either no offense nissan trash my friend lol
@@incognitoalister you really thought you said some. Happy for your purchase my boy. The speakers are amazing in those things
@@incognitoalister it is LITERALLY the same SUV. The SL and Platinum Armada have about 80-90% of the luxury of this vehicle.
@@hellkitty1014 im materialistic if you couldnt tell. Lol i also hate both infiniti and nissan. Ima a mercedes guy. I can appreciate bmw but im too confortable w/benz & afraid to risk the reliability of a bmw
@@hellkitty1014 somebody totaled my ml550 recently and i have a nissan ventra rental right now. Straight Fucking garbage lmao bouta go drive it now
For $6,000 less, it’s basically identical in terms of Warranty, Cargo space, seating, beats it out in towing capability, a little better gas mileage, and is only down about 20hp from its competitor…I’d say it’s a good deal for those who are on the fence.
In my opinion, that's only additional $100/month and for buyers of these kind of cars I don't think $6K difference matter. I would think the emotion would matter most.
Infiniti has been going through a redesign renaissance lately and their redesigns look attractive. This car definitely needs one to stay competitive in this class
I am so glad that you like this one.
First Happy newyear Raiti's for 2022! .
Thankyou for this great brand Infiniti car review love this brand building nice big cars!!!👌
Happy new year Joe and Lori! Thanks for the vids and bring it on for 2022! See you next year! I feel like Inifitiny is lacking behind the competitors with this one. Escalade and mainly Jeep Grand Wagoneer are ahead of the most in this category. Hope 2022 brings even more new cars and style to the market, so you can bring us all these in great videos! Happy new year everyone!
I mean for about $6,000 less, it’s neck and neck in terms of technology, dimensions, cargo space, warranties, power, and even beats the Escalade out in a towing capability and the Wagoneer in terms of warranty..tbh I’d say at this price point and between the 3 it comes down to personal preference, and what the consumer views as reliable.
Can’t believe it’s almost 2023 in about 2 days and you were wishing the RUclipsr a happy New Year
Happy new year joe! I hope 2022 will be another great for you Lori and your channel
-Happy new year's eve Joe and Lori. -
I liked this QX80, the exterior looks really good (it would be better with less chrome). The interior also looks good but there are a few zonks but they can fix them in the next models.
Mr raiti, you and Doug Demuro are my favorite car reviewers. I love your guy’s videos.
That is so really great of you to say Oscar!
Happy New Year to you and Lauri. Let’s hope this year will be better than last. Stay healthy everybody!!!
It’s the same as the previous years. Escalade Hulk smashes on this Infiniti.
Caddie is hideous
The Infiniti looks way better and isnt used as a fleet vehicle by taxi companies
Happy New Year, Joey! Thank you for the review! Let's just face it: This thing is olllddd! It doesn't offer many of the systems demanded in today's big lux SUVs. I will admit that I'm actually happy that Infiniti kept with some of the tried and true things, mainly the 5.6 V8 which is still pretty stout and reliable.(though I still don't understand why this didn't receive the 9spd transmission that the Titan received, if for nothing more than to increase fuel efficiency). The gathered leather and dash design definitely shows the age of this thing, though the new infotainment is welcomed.
While these are a tough pill to swallow in terms of purchasing, Infiniti offers incredible lease deals on these and that is why they still sell relatively well. Then there is the other elephant in the room: The Nissan Armada Platinum, which is just as comfortable, just as powerful, and just as capable. Plus, it drives my OCD NUTS to know the Nissan has full LED exterior lighting, whereas this Infiniti has divorced turn signals with incandescent bulbs. Grrrrr.....
NOTIF GANG!!!! WYA
Raiti keep pulling up with different whips on a daily
Infiniti will have a hard time selling these at $90k. This vehicle is a generation behind in design and technology
Buying this slightly used at $50-60k would be the much smarter decision.
Lol at anyone buying this new or even used for 60k… haha i can 100 cars id buy before this. Buy a 2010 escalade or 2012 x5 and still have money left over for a c7 z51 or other sports car.
@@NewDesignVinylGraphics
A 2012 X5?
Dude you will pay what you paid for the car just on repairs and maintenence 😂
@@joecool9739 lmao oh cool somebody who is clueless about bmws. Owned nothing but bmws since i started driving 5 years ago, owned about 6 different bimmers havent spent money on maintenance on one of them. Your videos are the best! I just got a 2021 vw jetta SE in white,
I like the Escalade much better. Happy New Years to the Raiti's Ride's Team and all the subscribers and viewers out there. Thanks for making 2021 that much better. Keep up the hard work and dedication. Heres to 1 million in 2022. You got this. 👊
I like the looks of the Escalade over this.
Definitely wouldn’t get tan interior. Nice review Joe and well done Lori! Happy New Year to you both! 🎉👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Happy New Year to you Larry!
Not tan.
great video as always joe. you’re always an inspiration! happy new years!!!
Happy New Years Eve Joe! Gotta love that Infiniti truck
I think infiniti is stepping up their game... they need to update those seats and the entire interior.
this infinity looks so beautiful. i love it
This will be my first SUV! Nice video Joe.
No way... even in an alternate universe... is this thing worth 90K. I would save 30K and get virtually the same vehicle in its cousin, the Nissan Armada.
But then you miss the hydraulic body control of the QX
Nah armada is the aldi version of comfort.
It’s crazy that you can buy the $85k premium version 1 step below this and not even get cooled seats lol
I would love to see a review of the Lexus ES 300h and RX 350, but Happy New Year Joe and Lori.
Happy new year Joe and Lori !
Here’s to 1 million subs in 2022!! 🍻 🥂
$90k is ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣
Not quite as ridiculous as $110K for Escalades and Grand Wagoneers - close, though.
I love it my boy Joe keep up the work and I love the video lot real true and happy new year eve to Joe and Lori 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Just purchased the QX80 over the Escalade mainly due to the price difference plus I believe the engine is more reliable and it come with a better warranty vs the Escalade.
Thank you for sharing that great input Mark!
Happy 😁 New Years 🎉🎊 Joe!!!
This infiniti is sexier then the Armada but it needs a redesign I'm not a big fan of the rear 3rd row window it's horrific definitely has less visibility compared to other competitors. Other than that the CVT needs to go as well. Nice video 😎 as ALWAYS!! -- And good job to Lori behind the camera!!!;)👏
Like this vehicle and it is something I'd choose over the other big SUVs I like this Motor and I love what it has that's Enough for me Bit as I was Saying Great Job on this video Lori your Amazing and Joe Always a Pleasure Thank you for your Channel Content God Bless 🙏
For the life of me I cannot understand the inconsistency with this SUV. Its like every 2 years the update something but don't give it a full refresh, i was even suprised they did not update to the new 9speed trans the Armada has wouldn't be surprised if that would be the next update coming.
Thanks for the video. Well done. I have the 2017 and the driver assist would steer you right into a concrete abutment. It's some sort of break assist to turn the vehicle, but it does absolutely nothing. Have they upgraded that at all?
Happy New Year, Joe and Lori.
Hey Joe, it’s me Joseph Payton long time no see. Happy New Years
How much longer is Infiniti going to continue recycling the same body frame and parts ? This vehicle is almost the same from a decade ago minus few changes . They seriously need to start fresh . Even Lexus is getting on board on making serious upgrades
Зато надëжный.
Happy New Year road to 1million🎉
Happy new year 🎉 with lots of love and blessings
Happy new year joe 🤍
I like the exterior color.
Happy New Year Joe and Lori.
Happy New Year.
Tongue twisty video. 😁
Yes it´s old but still good. But I hope they update it soon.
So does the qx80 gets one screen and still cvt on the qx80?
7 speeds.
Happy New Year and 1M subs for RR in '22.
I love the qx80. my mom likes the qx80 she wanted one a few years ago. I said that’s to boxy I didn’t like it at the time. I don’t regret that we didn’t get it because our highlander is great but the prestige of the qx80 is spot on. My 3 zonks is:
No pano moonroof
No digital gauge cluster
The lack of led interior lighting
And that sloppy V8
Everytime I get my notification that the Raiti’s have brought us some content im clicking! …Now on to the Car itself I keep saying it I own a Nissan Maxima and I love my Nissan, but they just dont do enough to make infinity feel worth the money when comparing it to the more affordable options. This really is just a supped up Armada down to the display!
Happy new year joe and Lori🥰🤩😘
What I don't like about this is the infotainment screen. Wish it was integrated into the dashboard.
Love your reviews
Thanks for letting me bring it to you! I am so glad that you are part of the Raiti's Rides family!
Man Raiti, you're awesome. Just keep rubbin your wood and uploadin vids bro!!!!
Great review. Just bought a 2023 sensory 4wd. Great camera work!
Infinity is japanese for Not the best, but the cheapest
I hope they bring back a proper qx70 with a v8.. I still miss mine..
Happy New Year, Raiti's Rides🙌🏾🎆
Better than Escalade, but after 100k miles.Cadillac will head to junkyard, Infiniti will run for another 10 years.
Really???.. gm make great engines and gets better mpg....get a clue son
@@atg1338 My Infiniti has 180k on it ,no leaks, no oil consumption , no repairs, all original.I had 8 GM trucks and vans before with 5.7l,6.0l,4.8l, 4.3l GM engines.ALL of them were junk with multiple constant problems .Never again.I have Toyota Tundra work truck now.
Happy New Year, Joe!
Hello. I recently discovered your channel and like it very much. I’ve noticed you don’t have any C6’s on here. Grand Sport, Z06, ZR1. Would be neat to see one.
I mean Cadillac Escalade Sears most of its components with the Chevy Tahoe and the GMC Yukon but when you get into the inside it's totally different and the outside of it is totally different than the rest of the vehicles I think Nissan and Infiniti could have done a better job of differentiating these two big beast from one another
Watching this vid just reminded me that Moby and Gwen Stefani's "Southside" came out in 2000. Yep...I'm old!😂
I'd take this Infiniti over the Escalade any day like the QX80 though Infiniti has been struggling with the designs. Happy New Year Joe and Lori want to thank both of you for the good work hope we can keep our relationship strong for the new year on Raiti's Rides be so fun watching.
Tech on the QX80 is now just reaching 2017 standards.
This QX80 may change my mind. It used to be my fav, Escalade, but now Qx80 takes over from exterior and Escalade takes control back in interior. 1-1 tie down till reliability decides what I go for, GMC has struggle make reliable SUV, especially the full size as Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban and Escalade......
I would call QX80 as winner, my personal thought. I need to see Audi and Mercedes, before throw money down. Probably get one before July 4th 2023....🤔
how they redesign the QX60 and not this one, have they seen the old Escalade to the new design get in the future Infinity
Thanks much for all you do and Happy New Year. P.S. I traded in my 2015 Armada for a 2022 Armada.
These things are way too big for the city man, if you're on a farm then it'll be ok but I see these and escalades parked in my condo parking, I'm like how do you even fit these busses into those holes.
I can totally understand where you are coming from Simon!
Infiniti is milking this design with very few updates in 11 years. This beast has one great asset and that the engine and drive-train is super reliable. The 400HP is good as any one on the road. Infiniti just needs to update the luxury part of this vehicle and it would be a good deal at 85K. The interior is almost identical to the lesser cousin Nissan Armada which sells for about 20K less. Rumor has it that 2023/4 there will be a remodel of the infiniti and mostly likely partly electric with turbo V6 pushing 430hp and 480lb ft of Torque. I still think it will be behind in luxury as Infiniti usually update lesser models before this one. If you can handle the lack of luxury and this old school truck based SUV you will have a winner.
@NBA Instagram obviously you do not have a luxury suv. 2014 luxury in the 2022 beside apple and android play. Compare this to any 2021 or 2022 from Cadillac Escalade, BMW X7, MB GLS, Land Rover, Jeep wagoneer, Lincoln Navigator and even GMC Yukon Denali, they all have better seats, panoramic roof, digital dash, heads up display, massaging seats, better 3rd rows with usb connectors and some with glass roof for 3rd row. Some have better handily and better engine updates. Plus, I own a 2006 Infiniti QX56 and 2018 QX80 and the 2022 is basically the same as my 2018 minus the radio display
@NBA Instagram Well, My needs are how I purchased vehicles and I guess you don’t know me.
@NBA Instagram just stop saying this BS
@NBA Instagram you're arguing for argument's sake.
Nice Vehicle. In comparison to the other full size luxury SUV’s my ratings are 1. Cadillac Escalade Platinum Sport 2. Lincoln Navigator Black label 3. Lexus LX F 600 4. Grand Wagoneer series 3 5. BMW X7 Alpina 6. Mercedes AMG GLS 7. Infinity QX80 sensory
They could have at least differentiate this QX80 by giving it a larger display vertically and making the tach all digital.
Hey Joe and Lori, how are y'all. Thanks you alot with this video about the refresh Infiniti QX80.
For me, it's well over due it due date, but this refresh helped alot with the exterior and interior.
Now personally for me 70k (base trim) is a high price tag for an SUV that outdated and a dinosaur in technology and gas mileage.
So I'm going to be simple to and say that I prefer the "new" Nissan pathfinder or the refresh Nissan Armada (which fully spect out is 68k).
But there is the competition that haves the iconic Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes Benz GLS, BMW X7, or even the Q7.
But overall which one would you buy
(the only advantage and curse that the Nissan Armada. ... I mean the Infiniti QX80 is that it have a V8 which means good for bragging but not so good on gas mileage).
(Edit: I don't know why I think I write short comments and it turns into a whole short film)
I would actually go with the Yukon Denali!
@@RaitisRides I'm going to be honest, I even forgot about the Denali, becuase the Denali is a good SUV (and looks the most rugged from GM)
But the only problem about the Denali is that's its easily to forget for a moment)
But thanks you for your opinion, I would prefer the Denali in styling over the Chevy and the Cadillac but I would prefer the new Land Rover Range Rover Long wheelbase Autobiography or the First edition.
The main problem is:
A: The price
B: depreciation
C: Repairs
But the GMC Yokon Denali is overall the best option becuase of price and design.
@@RaitisRides Also happy new years to you and Lori (plus the Raiti's ride family)

@@RaitisRides yeah it’s the same engine like the Nissan Armada everything else was right

Hi Joe! Please do a review of the Infiniti QX 55💞
The 'Slade has 420 ponies & 460 torque. I thought Infinity had a 5.6 liter engine not 5.3
Rims look amazing 👏 😍 Joe
When is the damn “best 2021 cars rated” video dropping?? I was promised that a in August then September and then October
Also happy New Years to you both 😁
Lol just realized that sounds to demanding but “its coming soon” was the response each time so not sure how soon thats gonna be 🤣🤣 was hoping before the year ends at the very least
this a nice truck but i gotta zonk the sunroof and that cheap fob, the Escalade and Jeep are ahead of this on total luxury and looks..thanks joe
They really need to upgrade their infotainment system and implement some digital gauges
You tell my if the Nissian armada is basically the same thing for $70 grand why would I buy this?
i like this. that engine is a proven beast. 155 miles per hour top speed? whoah. ill take it. plus they are cheaper than the other competitors that all looked a like.
I'd rather go lx570. The qx doesn't seem to have enough to distance itself from a loaded Armada. A lot of the switchgear inside looks pulled without being given anything more bespoke.
But at least the leather doesn't look tucked in.
It's close overall, but the Escalade has a better interior up front. There is a certain charm about this relic though.
Early and nice video 👍
Seats 💺 are spectacular 👌
These are second-hand gems. To all the people who say the escalade is better cant afford one anyways. Go check out a used QX80, 2017 ones are ⅓ the price now and arent GM junk.
Such a discussing interior and lack of technology for 90k could get a grand Cherokee summit reserved fully loaded for cheaper. But your Amazing my guy keep it up.
I know it is not for everyone.
You did a Ford F250 modded. I would love to see this vehicle modded.
Not even close, maybe this will compete with a YUKON SLT... couldn't even keep up with the Denali interior. Yukon SLT and Tahoe LTZ
beautiful car but it lacks in so many places. that infotainment is horrible and the lack of connectivity in the thrid row is terrible. how are the kids going to charge those darn tablets on the go? really it look like like the model before it. Its are easy pass for me. the grand wagoneer is the way to go.
I like the dash as is!!!
This car used to be attractive and still stays but smells outdated - minimum screens, old transmission, greedy engine, etc. The style is what saves it so far as luxury segment is more conservative for changes. But honestly this takes long - Infiniti has to unfold something new here.
It needs a total redesign for sure!
