    When you shaved down your cam cover did you notice a new hole on the bottom that wasn’t there before? I have a 1994 1200 & shaved down the cover. Now there’s a hole because I believe there were galley way cast in the cover probably for oil to flow fr/ cam bush to cam bush or something? I’ve seen a vid on Tatro machines channel down in San Diego where he Tig welded up the hole. Did u have a hole and what did you do w/ yours if you did??

      Yes I have the same hole. I didn't realize it during the cover shave video, but I found it after. This needs to be plugged or oil will come out of it. I am planning on tapping the hole and loctiting a plug into it. I will hopefully have a video on this soon, this project has been on hold for a little while.

    Nice video. Is there like a plug and play jetting setup for when you run a 883 to 1200 kit. Like stock air box and aftermarket exhaust ? Without having to go in and out of the carb to jet and rejet? Would like to just do the conversion kit. Put in a recommended main and pilot jet and be done with it. Do you also have to update the ignition?

      The answer to both is kind of. You can run a set of jets that are 'typical' for a 1200 but every exhaust and intake will be a little different. If your jets are too lean you will run hot and if your jets are too rich you will loose power and economy. Changing the jets isn't too bad and if you have a stubby screwdriver you can probably even do it with the carb on the bike.
      For the ignition, the higher compression in my setup will increase the burn time. This requires a change in ignition timing to prevent damage. It is possible to change the timing on the stock ignition but the aftermarket ignition makes it a lot easier.

    How many turns for your jets? Do you have a rough safe number?

      Do you mean turns on the mixture screw? I usually start at 2 turns out from seated and work from there
