Honey you are adorable! You say the same mistake that I have said all my LIFE and I am 66. My daughter corrected me a couple of years ago. You don't UN thaw something. You THAW it. If you are UN thawing you are FREEZING it. Lol Hope you had a laugh at this. People make the same mistake by calling a water heater a hot water heater. You don't heat hot water. I make my chicken soup the same way. Delicious.
She absolutely has taught us a lot. Also, if you’re wanting a good canner, but you don’t want to come off of all the money at once Amazon will now let you make payments.
I still got the seed from last year. Got depress and could find all those seeds I had ordered. Got myself out that dark room and found my seeds. Will be planting this season. Getting my beds ready, love you!❤️❤️🐩🙏🏾🌹🌹👊🏾
It's possible "Praise and Worship" will drive even a hint of mean-old depression away. An internet search should provide many Bible verses including "Praise & Worship". Since I'm no longer homeless, I praise God for things that may not cross most peoples minds, unless they've had to do without!🤔😳Praise the Lord Almighty for hot/cold running water, my own bathroom, electricity, computer/internet/phone, etc. All the things I've done without. My own food and kitchen, bed, cloths...Praise God, indeed!😇
@@lilblackduc7312 well then God is good. Makes me feel I have nothing to be depressed about. But with 5 standard poodle and 6 puppies driving me crazy. Yes I got out that dark room. Can’t wait to get garden going. Went outside today and I got elephant garlic growing from last season. That really made me happy!!!!❤️❤️🐩. Thanks Ms. H you know just when to post uplifting messages ❤️❤️🐩🙏🏽
You've produced one of the best, most useful and uplifting shows here...ever! Thank you. God bless and Merry Christmas to you & your loved ones...🦌🦌🦌🦌🎅🎁
My favorite thing about you two is that you are down to earth. I feel like you are in the same boat with the rest of us who are just trying to do the best we can with what we have. You believe in God as well. I think y'all are wonderful and I hope you have a beautiful Christmas!
I learned how to can from you. My first time using a pressure canner ! I learned how to process a chicken from yard to freezer too. Love your videos and I tell everyone to watch your videos, specially for first time canners. Merry Christmas! And thank you for your videos.
My aunt made chicken and dumplings from a hen. She'd cook the whole thing and then made the dumplings. My mom made them too and she cooked early peas and biscuits. This really brings back good memories
I'm so glad I bought a 2nd canner. Your energy makes me want to get out 10lbs of my chicken leg quarters. That broth can be used when someone has a cold or flu.
Mrs. H if you have a big electric roaster, try that for making your long simmer product. I use it when I cook baked beans for canning or bean soup for canning. Puerco con salsa verde. It works great and then your kitchen range isn't in use all those hours. Thank you for taking time to teach so many others. I've been canning for 40+ years. My daughters don't can, but my sons do. I will teach anyone that wants to learn but most are put off by the amount of time and work.
Love your videos. As soon as the holidays are over, gotta start the winter canning. This is on my list. I am going to start by roasting my chicken leg quarters first to bump up the flavor, then simmer. I have garlic that needs to be dehydrated b4 it shrivels up or goes bad. Have to do a beef soup base. Dehydrate or chop and freeze onions before they start to go bad. Thinking of potato soup base, maybe some Colcannon soup. So many yummy things.
Are you drying your garlic properly? I always have garlic until my next season harvest. I set my garlic out side in my garage on screens. As they dry...All leaves are brown and crispy takes about a month! Then you brush them off, cut off the roots and use one garlic to clean the other and repeat. Then leave about 4 inches on the bulb. This prevents air from entering the bulb. Also a helpful hint: Freeze your garlic! It is so convenient when you are in a pinch for time. You can freeze it in cloves or dice or dice I dice mine. Hope this helps you. God Bless
@5GreenAcres this year is extra dry, it seems. Even my basement seems bone dry. My garlic is good now, but smaller and smaller. Onions and potatoes, too. Usually the potatoes don't start to get softer until March, but are starting to already. Just so dry here.

I canned up my version of Chicken and dumplings, last year. I nor my family eat dark meat, the beauty of canning your own meats is you can the way your family likes it. I have only been pressure canning for about 2 years, by watching you and one other channel and reading my books it gave me the courage to start. I now have the manual presto, and then invested in the electric prestige presto which I love but have used the manual enough that I am comfortable with it also. I don't like using the manual with my glass top stove with microwave above too small of a space and felt like my jars over processed. Your pineapple jam is my favorite Jam or jelly, just used the last jar. I also used your butter recipe. Good morning sweet lady. Looks yummy can almost smell it this cold morning. Praying yall have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year 🙏. Sending love ❤️ and hugs.
I love to watch you can. You were the one who got me canning in the first place. 3 years ago. Now I own 2 pressure canners and my old waterbath canner. Thank you so much!! I'll be trying this recipe, too.

I'm glad to hear you used garlic in your chicken recipe. I've always been apprehensive about pressure canning garlic after hearing it wasn't safe. Must've been just garlic itself and not as an ingredient.
Lol I know that awesome smell! When I process my meat chickens I throw the whole backs into my huge pot and cook them till all the meat falls off the bones, I do this several times because I raise 30 Cornish cross , some I strain for my chicken broth for the year, save the meat and valcumn seal for chicken salad , tacos, enchiladas casseroles, I also can up chicken and veggies for soups where I later add rice or noodles…yes indeed 😁

I just made a pot of chicken and dumplings last weekend. For my mom’s ladies club. They ate the whole thing. I had to make more for older sister and niece. My mom and I only got 1 bowl. Made the noodles from scratch just like my granny showed me. LOL you can’t go wrong with it.
YUMMY! I can smell it-o, wait, no, that's me making my veggie and chicken bone broth. I leave meat, bones-everything- in mine too. The bones pretty much break down to soft goodness when I can it. I use the broth to make my rice after I open the jar and strain the meat and bones out or just strain the bones out. I then run those bones through my ninja and decimate them. That can be added to the gelatinous yummy broth to thicken it up. So funny I am making this same thing today as well.

Mrs. H.H., I am cleaning the kitchen when this video came on. I took out what I will have for Christmas and thought this would be so so good this winter for if I want a good chicken and dumplin, a soup and sandwich, chicken and gravy open face sandwich etc. I know your house smells wonderful cause it is home cooking. I used gnocci as dumplins and it is wonderful and cheap at dollar tree. Thanks for reminding me that I haven't had chix n dumplins in a long time. Be Blessed and Merry Christmas.
I still make my dumplings from scratch. I was raised to make everything from scratch and I still do. There is a big difference in the taste of things made from scratch and these boxed and frozen things from the grocery store
Agree 100%. I prefer to can in the colder months. We just got done with 3 days of canning chicken and turkey. We ran late processing our 3rd run of meat birds this year. Yes, the house smells like Gma's house. ❤ We canned our broths too. We take the bones out for this type of canning. But when we can whole chickens, we just cut them in half, and raw pack them, bones & all.
My mother makes chicken and pastry (pretty much the same thing just long flat strips instead of dumplings) every year for Christmas. She insists on making homemade from scratch pastry and will not even consider buying the stuff that's in the freezer section at the store. It's everyone's favorite dish and even though a ton of food is there it's the chicken pastry that disappears first.

My seeds have arrived, thanks for all you teach us ,Merry Christmas to you & your family
I still make my dumplings from scratch. I was raised to make everything from scratch and I still do. There is a big difference in the taste of things made from scratch and these boxed and frozen things from the grocery store
I had to run to the store for an onion and celery!! You made this sound sooooooooo scrumptious!! It's cooking on the stove right now!!❤
Morning and merry Xmas❤️❤️🐩🙏🏾🌹
Love ur videos Mrs. H.
Loved this inspiration
Girl, you look so beautiful!
Thank you so much!!
Love this video! I can almost smell it!! You inspired me 😊
