    One of the hardest things to do is the hands on the movement. You need to talk us through that aspect because so many other RUclips videos gloss over not only pushing the hands on but how far you need to push them onto the center pivot and where each hand needs to be aligned. And, the most difficult , is the second hand and how it fits on the center pivot. Doing that, in my opinion, would set you apart from other watch channels.

    I'd been trying to install a NH36 movement in a gen1 Monster, and wondered why it stopped when put into the case. Didn't know I needed to swap the retaining rings until I saw this. Now I do. Took everything apart (which is good practice for me), swapped rings fairly easily, and reassembled. Success at last! Thanks for this video.

    Quite informative, if a little hurried. It has definitely taught me one thing and that is I am never going to attempt this, being both "Ham Fisted" & "Short Tempered" LOL.
    But I enjoyed the video, cheers !!

    Great video. I bought a couple of Vostoks to open up and mess around with. The Seiko SNGZ is one of my favorite watches and I'd like to see if I can upgrade the movement in it.

    Great video and i plan on doing this mod to my Seiko SNKK71K1. It has the same movement as the skx and the crown is at 4 so I will have to change the day wheel.

  • @Q.Q.

    The key part of the swap is the crown replacement. This "how to" would've been much better if that part hadn't been largely skimped on.

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  3 года назад +3

      I think it covered the key points, where to measure, cut and file down and just repeat. Ultimately its a process the modder needs to develop their own knack on. You have to trial and error it. I may need to separate the vids in future to show individual elements in detail

    Hello. Could you please let me know where can I buy that crown. In ali, most of the crown was for skx007. I wonder if skx013 is as same size as skx007. Thanks for your tutoring.😃

    How about something that shows a replacement for the NH35 with something with 70 hours of power reserve? Is there such a thing? Or how to replace an NH35 with a quartz movement so I can have Willard homage that is always showing the correct time?

    @michaelmueller4704 3 года назад +1

    I want to replace the 7S36 movement of a SNZH55 with a NH35. Why do I have to replace the stem and crown? Why can I not simply use the old stem and crown? Can someone explain that to me?

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  3 года назад

      Because they are not compatible, the nh35 has a hack and wind function but the 7s doesn't. The stem is slightly different.

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  3 года назад +1

      Due to crown position difference. The 7s are 4pm while the 4rs n nhs are 3.50 . To upgrade a skx007 u need to change day disk. If its going to replace a 3pm crown position then no change req.

      Do you know what its not that bad, its very difficult to fuck up.
      You don't even need to change the movement holder, just chop the extra bits of plastic in the grey nh36 movement holder next to the crown insertion and its a straight fit

      No its 100% gen. If u see the fakes you will definitely know the difference. They're not expensive from Seiko and nearly all that are sold frok China are bought from the Seiko Factory in Malaysia.

    Is this supposed to be a tutorial? If you want people to follow what you are doing and to actually learn something you need to record the video in real time. Not in quick time or double time. I shut down the video as soon as I could tell that the quality of the video was so poor. I also gave the video a thumbs down and will continue to do so in the future for video's of this quality. Thanx.

      @@TheWatcherReviews Why don't you ask Glenn H, if he's being so critical, to make a RUclips video himself...then he can see how hard it is to do these in real time. You (The Watcher) have done an excellent job on presenting something that is very difficult to show and I applaud you for that.

      You can slow it down on YT if that’s your preference. Don’t rag on someone for producing content that’s useful.
