I think you’re a great teacher ! I am struggling with the pain it’s causing in the tips of my fingers though lol. And also the speed of changing chords. Guess the answer is go at my own speed. Thanks again
I am 66 years old and haven't even picked up a guitar in 45 or so years. Your simple lessons are a real blessing for this old man. I have MS and that's why I gave up playing. I guess I got the urge to pick it back up lately not really realizing how lost I was. Your simple approach fits my abilities both physically as well as mentally. I want to thank you for my second chance to dust off some strings again....Roy Booth, Rainelle WV
@@LaurenBateman 💖🤗💖 I used to play guitar, but I haven't touched one in over 40 plus years. After finding your channel I know I will be able to remember it all, because my guitar was my passion! I want to get a guitar and start playing again! Thank you. 🌷
Hi from Ontario Canada. For my birthday this year (63), I decided to pick up guitar again…I used to play in school. Luckily, my son plays very well and lent me one of his acoustic. I offered myself a year of Simply Guitar and am in my 12th consecutive week of playing. Then I discovered you! Wow! I promise to join your program once I’m done with my year and subscription. Not criticizing Simply as it got me back into it but I’m also following you and your website. Thank you for all you provide. 🥰
💙 I would never say that Lauren is a better instructor than a guy … but she is, for me. Why? Picking up a guitar is a chore for me but being there playing with her 😢is a great feeling from the first strum. I feel like Lauren is family playing music and that we will share Baklava and Sufganiyot, after the lesson. Thanks. I’ll be back. ‘’’
Rythem and chord changes have been the most difficult thing for me to grasp, 61 yrs old and having you sing or say the strumming pattern as well as when you sing or say the chords as your teaching is very helpful and i need to implement this into ny own lessons, as well as foot tapping . Wow, thats a run in sentence . Great lesson Lauren
I hVE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT WAYS TO LEARN FROM ABOUT EVERY DIRECTION. i ALWAYS GOT GOT CONFUSED AND GAVE UP. Lauren IS THE BEST OF THE BEST- ON LINE OR VIRTUAL, NOW OR IN 1966.
Thank you so much for your great teaching videos. You are very clear on your explanations and showing the notes multiple times instead of rushing on to the next note is very helpful.
Another one of my favorite bands. The band is from Spartanburg, SC. When I was in college at the University of South Carolina, they were called The Toy Box (because of Toy, a founding member of the band) and they would play at my school frequently. Great lesson, Lauren!
Hi Lauren, 39 here, and just getting going. I played for a month, during covid and then became frustrated with the guitar, sold it and said I am never going back. I am not made to play. And then a month ago, all the way up till now, I had this ITCH to learn how and to stick this thing out. I am turning 40 in December. Kind of a late start. I hope I can play someday and be good. I must say, I love the shirt and how you did the sleeves on it. I tried that look out too, and it adds a little flavor to the playing, I think. It makes it more appealing to people looking.
Thank you sooooo much for these videos I always wanted to play guitar but having Cerebral I thought it was hopeless until I stumbled onto your great videos!!!!

Hi from bonnie Scotland. Love your lessons 65 and been trying to play the guitar for approximately 2 years on and off. I can make the chords individually but failing to get to the stage where i can change between chords and actually keep up with a song . I know practice practice practice Well for the past 4 months have been playing for al least an hour a day going between my chords and simple riffs i know to keep me going but not really getting any faster is it a brain thing or my hands or as I'm guessing bad habits where i started moving 1 finger at a time and now they won't move as one. any one out there with advise I'm all ears. Keep up the very good work Lauren your videos are an absolute dream to follow . My goal now is to play along with you and keep up.
