    Just picked up a skeleton key 30% off end of season sale. Pumped. Board seems like a blast to play around with.

    You guys should demo the Yes Hybrid. Such a fun board. Floats well in pow , medium flex, volume shifted.

    Hard to get a sense of any of these boards without seeing them ridden on the terrain they're primarily designed for, by riders that are actually experts. Nothing wrong with being a snowboard enthusiast, but nothing in this demo is appropriate for showcasing what any of these boards are capable of. Your channel has a lot of content, it's well-produced, and is reviewing relevant boards, which is great. If the riding ability and terrain were taken up a couple notches it would really improve your viewership and credibility. It's hard to watch someone that calls themselves an "expert" struggle to land a clean 180 off an ollie in a "freestyle head to head" board comparison, for example. Similarly, in the current, video one of the comments on the Jones Flagship is "it's not really park focused". Just the nature of the video being titled "freeride boards" should tell you there are no park boards in the lineup. How about show us some steep and deep terrain with riders truly shredding the mountain? That would be inline with all these boards. A for effort, and I look forward to seeing your channel evolve into reviews people can take seriously.

    Why so few camber boards for a freeride/carving category? Or is this list simply intended to be less carving oriented?

    How does the harpoon compare to the chairman?

    • @AMac815
      @AMac815 Год назад +1

      Chairman (which I've only held/hand-flexed, haven't ridden) is much stiffer, wider, less taper, and with longer effective edge. Reputedly better for carving and steeps, especially for larger riders. The Harpoon - my daily - is pretty floppy in the nose and mid-section with a ton of torsional flex, which makes it more playful and nimble in tight trees and bumps, but in my experience it just can't handle steeps well at all unless I stay 100% on the tail. But it's a fun ride in pow and less aggressive all-mountain.

    • @Curatedcom
      @Curatedcom  Год назад +1

      Harpoon is a lot more playful flex wise as well as being volume-shifted (meant to be ridden shorter) like AMac said Chairman is a lot stiffer and more aggressive. Feel free to send me a message at the link below if you want more help dialing in the best board for you 🤙-Sarah www.curated.com/experts/sarah.taruscio?e=sarah.taruscio&

    The skeleton key is not a freeride board. All mountain yes, freeride no. The orca is also not a freeride board, it’s an volume shift ripper with pow capability. But I wouldn’t take those 2 out of bounds in the deep and steep.

      I know he could ride a door and make it work well but have you seen the terrain Travis Rice rides on both the Orca and Golden Orca ? the bigger the terrain the more he sizes up , you could class the Orca as alternative freeride.

    Riding Groomers and few side hits, is not Freeriding... it's all mountain. Please do this test in deep powder and most importantly on ice, crusty and slushy snow and in actual Freeride terrain. The level of the riders and the terrain completely explains why you chose this selection of boards.

      Yip bring forth the Rossignol XV Magtek but that thing is hell unforgiving , got to be on your a game but with camber and full magnetraction you can trust it if things get icey in between pow stashes.
      But you have to be an aggresive 100% commited rider to make it work

      Have you ridden the ride? I have a ride mikey leblanc 156 deck for just ripping around and love it! And have a Rossignol jib saw for park! Was looking for a daily driver and stuck between the skeleton key and the berserker, any info would be awesome man! 👌

      @@stormedwards356 pending on what type of riding you do I guess but I find myself using my berserker for my daily ride!! It’s definitely not a deck for park stuff or jibbing.

    It’s always shocking and interesting to see how bad Curated “snowboard experts” can be at snowboarding. Most of them can’t seem to do a proper Ollie, clean 180, and carve with wrong and bad looking techniques.
