Thanks for the video James. Do you think this Orca could be a good board for carving and cruising?

No prob. Check our newer review. Its more in depth. Yes if you size it up right for your specs its fun for cruising and carving.

Hey man! Looking to grab an Orca as a tree/light powder board/rudded out terrain. I like to take tight tree runs & open tree runs and want some floatation in the occasional Vermont POW/crud bumps. Only time i’ll be on the groomers is to get to the trees.

    Can’t decide between 150 or 153?

153 would be a better fit for your specs and work better based on the boards you ride now.

    Hey James
What orca size is perfect for me
    I wear ride fuse 9,5 -275mm
    6,4 - 195cm
    85kg
Thanks for answer, great reviews !!!!

Man this is tough. Your specs aren't ideal for sizing. With size 9.5 US boots 85kg and being 6'4" you won't match up well with most boards. It's mainly because of your boot size. I'd go 153 Orca. It will be a little slow for your 9.5's but you have the weight and height to leverage it on a turn.

      Also what about 156 ? 153 and 156 have same waist ?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

I wouldn't go for that. The extra 3cm makes it feel like a lot more board. I would only do that if you like a really big/wide feeling board for your boot size. Some do.

Would the 156 Orca hold someone 85kg or should it be the 159?

Hard to say based on the info given. What is your boot size, height, ability level and what make, model and size do you ride now? Or hit me up here if you want to do this properly. thegoodride.com/snowboard-binding-and-boot-advice/

Can I fulfil my mental image of me as Gerry Lopez. Locking into a toe edge turn. Yewwwww

Yes but you should get a Gentemstick Gerry Lopez Model then ;-)

I love orcas too. I think I’ll stick with the orca. The graphic and design just look next level
