The Leo vs Raph fight always gets to me. Its basically a perfect representation of my strained relationship with my older brother.

An absolute chad of a movie. Criminally underrated. I was 19 when I saw this in theaters. Amazing voice cast including Patrick Stewart and Nolan North. 🍿🏆
Dang I was five when I saw this movie… I’m almost turning 19 this year! Still a big ninja turtle fan! Just started watching the 80s cartoon and watched my favourite version (2003) in its entirety last summer!!
I missed out on seeing this in theatres, but I did get the DVD once it hit retail. I really enjoyed it for what it was. Plus it had a great voice cast, especially Nolan North as Raphael.
Seen this in theatres when I was 3 and it still holds a special place in my heart. My love for the turtles continue to grow

This is the best version of the Ralph and Leo rivalry, especially taking into account the time on screen. You can feel each motives and why they’re valid
I personally loved the Night watcher design for Ralph and it's always great seeing him bust out the bike. The look for Karai and Foot Soldiers are excellent too!! I love seeing her lead the foot. The 2007 movie is hella solid and I'm happy to see it on my shelf.
This movie is connected to the 1990's movies in my eyes.
Yeah. I know it’s technically the 4th film but I like to see it as a sequel to the 1990 version and try to forget about Turtles 2 and 3.

I actually own the trailer to this film, on an actual film roll from the projector, thanks to a friend being a manager at AMC.
It deserved better. Watched it in theaters on day one, in an essentially empty theater. Marketing for it was a bit shit, which likely contributed to its underperformance.
The criticisms over the story I see are so ubiquitous online are a bit daft, considering Peter Laird actually worked hands-on with the script and production.
No wonder this feels so in line with the Mirage comics!
That just makes the movie infinitely times better than it already is! How is that possible?!?!

This movie is my favorite TMNT film. I love the character development and the rooftop fight scene. Like Mask of the Phantasm, this movie did not get the recognition it deserved.
I love this version of the ninja turtles Nickelodeon should make a series on the 07 turtles.

This is one of those movies I can watch any time and never get tired of.

The one-shot-take turtles vs foot fight will always be one of my favorites. I know it's not really one shot since it's CGI, but always fun to watch.
We all know the Leo vs Raph fight is easily the highlight of the movie.
The tmnt movie is very underrated and generates alot of undeserved hate, I enjoy it alot and do consider it the 4th movie especially with the final scene

I agree completely. I saw this in the theatre and have always loved it since. That Raph vs Leo rivalry finally coming to a head in that rooftop fight scene is one of the best moments in all of TMNT history.

Because it shows movie Shredders helmet and the time scepter.
But you're right about this movie undoing everyone's character growth.
@@orinanime This feels more like a sequel to issue number 1 of the mirage comics the turtles kill Shredder and they each go there separate ways after that since there hole mission was to avenge Hamato Yoshi and they succeeded it is almost like an alternate timeline with some similar events from the original trilogy.

Best TMNT movie ever. It has an original idea and story, stelar cast, awe-inspiring animation that still holds up to this day, and it still keeps parts of the original turtle movies and characters.

Haven't seen this movie in a while but the thumbnail is definitely one of the BEST scenes.
I was blown away by how good this story was when it first dropped. It's free right now on my Roku TV, time to give it another watch.

This was my favourite 2000’s movie I watched when I was a kid my 2nd favourite movie of turtles was the first 1990’s movie and my first favourite was the 2014 ninja turtles
Such a good deep TMNT story. The bad guys are meh but the character development is fantastic

4:20 The fight is my favourite moment in the movie and my favourite fight scene in all the movies.
I loved this movie! My favorite moment was Raph and Leo fighting. There have always been a debate on who is better fighting, Leo or Raph. This movie shows it, I have always thought is more talented, but he lets his emotions get the better of him, but that is also his strength. Leo is the leader, Mike is the easy going guy and Don is the techie smart guy, Raph must excel at fighting more than the rest, but his emotions add a wild card to this. I think aside from the first live action TMNT movie, this is the second good one, I didn´t like the third one or secret of the ooze. Secret of the ooze would have been much better if they kept the Krang reveal.
I also enjoyed the prequel comics that were released when the movie came out, the donatello one was drawn by Jim Lawson, which is always a plus for any mirage comics fan
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FILM... In my head this is the sequel to the 90s live action film (and is one of the best comic book films EVER)
Alot of people dogged this version of the turtles but I enjoyed it I loved the designs for sure great video Old Turtle Den, about time they got some love
I absolutely love this movie, apart from being the first 3D animated TMNT movie (next to the 2012 series) i also enjoy rhe games that came out of it which i thought was pretty neat. My only gripe about the film is that it was mostly focus on Raph and Leo and not on the other brothers, like i get the idea they dont want to stretch the movie further but they could at least do something with Don and Mikey. Like having Mikey befriending one the monsters and making it as a pet or Donnie being obsess of Max Winters genius and having to try helping him out. Even after all of this Don and Mikey were like almost side characters throughout the film which kinda sucks, still i enjoyed the shell out of this movie.COWABUNGA 💙🧡❤💜🐢
I have the same criticism years later. Mikey has always been my favorite amongst the four, and even as a kid, I was peeved over the fact that he and Donnie were hardly in the film. They were treated like side characters. If the Leo and Raph dynamic was handled like the first 90s film, that would have been miles better. At least we got moments with all of them without having Leo/Raph’s relationship overshadowing the plot.
I used to play video game of the movie on the PS2 all the time and honestly from memory, it actually had more exploration in terms of the story and characters. There’s more scenes and moments with ALL the Turtles together, more on Leo’s experience training in Central America. Hell, Raph even reveals to the whole family that he’s the Nightwatcher. It fleshes out elements more than the film ever did.
The planned sequels were going to show more character development of Don and Mikey but all of that fell through when Nick purchased the rights of the series. This channel has a video of that showing art sketches of the planned trilogy.
This movie is extremely underrated. I love this film because it was the first TMNT thing I’ve saw before I knew what TMNT was
The Raph n Leo fight was my favorite part. Plus the scene having rain just topped it off
I love the 2007 tmnt movie and is one of my favorite versions of the tmnt along side with rise and the 2003 series. I think it’s a underrated movie and has a good Leo and Ralph conflict and character development.
Ok, this has been on my mind for years. Why is what Raphael doing as the Nightwatcher wrong? Is it because its unsanctioned by Leonardo and/ or Splinter? Is it because he's motivated by anger and not honor? Is it because he has not included his other brothers? A lack of unity, perhaps? He's not killing the bad guys. I mean, I think the above answers are good ones, it's just the script really fails at defining why Raphael is severely wrong in his actions.
I think it's a combination of what you said.
He's keeping secrets from his family, he's motivated by anger, not honor, and basically Leonardo is a condescending hypocrite.
@@orinanime Agreed. I just wish the script had gone a better job at hammering these points home. I my opinion, it weakens the structure of the film and especially the dynamic between Leo and Raph. Thanks for the reply and insight. 😎👍
Yeah, have to agree with you on this one.
If there were a couple situations where it would show that either Donnie or Mikey would've helped, that would have worked. Instead, we have Raphael being the muscle and gadget guy during the monster attack.
Then there's the whole thing of this being on top of the Leo's extra gap year. What did everyone think he was doing?
The idea is good but the execution is more badass than dangerous.
Honestly, I think Rhaphael had the right idea with fighting crime and wearing the armor while doing so, sure he was taking his anger out on criminals but at least he wasn't killing them, instead he basically just leaves them for the cops to retrieve. Even if this is just to release his anger, it's at least productive, he could have just gone aroun smashing stuff or taking his anger out on randome people, and if he hadn't worn the armor then he'd possibly be putting his family at risk, he even gave himself an alias to keep his identity under wraps so there was some clear thought put into his nightly plans.

my fav was the fight with leo and raph on the roof. I saw testing footage of that scene in college and was just amazed at the rain particles they used in the fight to make it look more realistic.

One of my Favorite TMNT Movie it's so Awesome and i love the Design and Atmosphare and Raphael was so Badass in this.
The movie was pretty good. The only problem I have with it is "too many sets of villains/monsters". They basically had like 3-5 sets of villains with their own stories. This gets kind of jumbled up and messy, and it slows down the turtle pacing. I think they could have done without the 13 monsters. Just have like 1 or 2 big monsters along with the family fight.
I haven’t watched this movie in years now, but I remember really loving it. I’m gonna rewatch this ASAP!
I love the design of these turtles so much. Tall but kinda slim, their masks brighter than normal, very simplistic.

Love the 2007 TMNT movie and I live it every single moment for the movie. I do enjoy the Turtles vs the Foot fight from outside Winters tower and the final battle against the brotherhood.
My sister likes the part where you see donnie on his headset working as tech support. I like the part when raph and leo fight each other on the rooftop. But our favorite part in the movie would have to be the fight between the turtles, splinter, casey and april against the foot and karai to P.O.D.'s Lights Out.
Why does the shredder intro " you are here because the outside world rejects you" hit so damn hard

What this movie did for me when I watched it years ago was show me that the turtle do need to separate for some time, and become their own people/ mutants. Leo going a way for training, Raph being a vigilante, Donei, and Mikey figuring where they fit. There could be a story, or series where this is explored. And they come back together as a team while showing their new skillz. I honestly think that they are stagnating being stuck together all the time because their are more than just a team. That’s what I think
1990, 2003 and 2007 are my fav iterations of TMNT 😎

Also I'm so Excited for Seth Rogen's CG Animated TMNT Movie Reboot. I hope that the Trutles look like there 1987 Cartoon Designs, and the Direct Line Designs Because That way they don't have look like the Bay Turtles. I know there’s a lot of people who don’t like the idea of, along with Leo not being with them the Turtles essentially being retired at the beginning of the movie and having to relearn how to be like they used to be but personally I find that story angle really fascinating, I like that they didn’t just go with the standard “Fight the Shredder” plot line again, granted the plot of this movie is a little clunky but I still like that it went a different direction

This movie was my introduction to TMNT as a kid. I was three when it came out and when I saw it on DVD, it locked into my brain. Now I’m a HUGE TMNT fan.

i think what it was is that after such a long time without a turtle movie, this one did not focus on major tmnt characters like shredder, bebop and rock steady, casey jones, krang, april was changed up as well...i mean being it was animated it could've even brought in baxter and or rat king and thats not what fans got from the original films...
The Ralph and leo fight was the best part of the movie
What if Ralph killed Leo? This would have been like the new Ronin comics. Ralph could totally go darkside. Like Ralph running the Foot clan all crazied out by what he did.

This movie was amazing and still is
Ralpis the strongest but all the other 3 can beat him. In the og comics and many adaptations raph is beat when he is fight with everything as the others just dont try. Muke beats him many times but imagine if they went full force on raph. He would not stand a chance. He is still a great character that is needed in a brawl as he is always the one that does the best in a team fight.
This movie was so amazing when I was kid I really liked it and when I heard they were trying to make a sequel I was so excited but didn’t happen
My favorite moment is definitely the Turtles, Splinter, April and Casey VS The Foot Clan.
BUT my 2nd favorite moment is unquestionably Raph VS The Jersey Devil with Spiderbait's cover of "Black Betty" playing.
Do this for all the films, yes even the Michael bay ones. There are great scenes in those too.
Out of the Shadows was my Bay fave only because of the lonnnnnnnggggg overdue appearances of Bebop and Rocksteady
@@jaydubb2092 and Krang, I honestly did not hate the bay films at all. I actually really liked them and I'm a huge TMNT fan.
@@horrorfanforlife8664 that is true about Krang, completing the Fearsome Foursome, but that voice didn't do it for me....he sounded more like Goldar from the Power Rangers
@@jaydubb2092 would love one last live action movie that is rated R, has the red bandanas, and is based on City At War. How cool would that be? Practical suits with CG faces.
@@horrorfanforlife8664 not too many fans would disagree with that concept! I would still go with the colored band, unless they do a mix of the OG turtles with the 2012 TMNT (different body type for example). Use red bandanas but still a way to differentiate them besides just the weapons
I think this underrated Tmnt movie. I really liked it when I first saw it, and thought it’s story was new and interesting . I wish they made a sequel or TV show that followed up this movie.

I have heard that hardcore TMNT'87 fans didn't like Raph and Leo fighting and also didn't like Karai since she was never on the show and Archie comics series.

hey! liked this video, thumb up, is one of my fav, if not my fav rendition of the turtles on cinema along with the first live action movie, only observation that the title of the video is not strictly obedient to the content since it is not a top 10 but a chronological one, which is fine! i think if is the creator's personal countdown i am cool with it...but c'mon, Raph vs Leo is THE BEST moment in TMNT to film moment, not because of the fight itself but the reasons and the emotional charge set up.
