It definitely was in my opinion, don't forget at the end of the 2003 series the turtles had pupils and also the characters all looked alike
It was a good film, it was refreshing to see the Turtles fight Villians that aren't the foot or Mutants and I wish we saw a second and third film that'd be awesome!
Well, why not make some direct to DVD and blu-ray adaptations of these stories? I mean with how many direct to DVD and blu-ray animated movies DC is making nowadays or with how many direct to DVD animated films Marvel used to make with Lionsgate back in the 2000s, why can't TMNT do that too?

@@djwubs9244 Not to mention the fact that Viacom bought the Turtles, rebooted them with the 2012 and Rise series (and both the Michel Bay films and Mutant Mayhem).

Agreed...I never had any major problems with that TMNT flick, it wasn't anything ''new''...but it was solid ninja turtles and faithful to the lore.

TMNT 2007 would of been a perfect start to an all CGI TV series.
Well Nickelodeon bought the rights of TMNT, but I don’t know how that would work.

I remember watching this film over and over again after my mom recorded it for me off of HBO.
It's always had a special place in my heart and I've always loved the designs.
I just noticed something. TMNT 1987 cartoon got a movie with the 1990's movie, 2003 cartoon got the 2007 movie, 2012 cartoon got the 2014 movie, and the 2018 cartoon is getting movie.

being a huge raph fan, my brother a leo fan, this movie was a treat ! we watched it i cinemas over and over, but unfortunately the fail of the company we couldn't get more of 2007 tmnt or 2009 astro boy :(

They should continue the 2007 movie from where they originally left off
Imangi Studios went out of business so I don't know if it's possible. But of it's possible, I'm open to ideas. I'd love to see the sequels we never got

Hun (2003) and the Foot Tech Ninja are also featured in the toy line and the Gameboy/DS game. Playmates was basically profiting off two turtle verse at the same time.
Just watched this the other day with my 3 yr old. Totally enjoy this one especially the Leo and Raph fight
I loved this film, went cinema expected it to be packed as I was still expecting turtles to excite everyone.
Cinema was empty was sad to see people lost interest.

Would be great for them to continue the story as intended. I remember there was mention of April and Casey getting married also. Don't care too much about that but I hate when they start something and don't finish it, for example the Bay movies.
About Shredders design, remember there was also the video game TMNT: Smash Up that had the same design that they had in TMNT (2007) so maybe that's what shredder would've looked like in a sequel
That rooftop fight in the rain was amazing. You could really feel the emotion.

Bays turtles were ok. He could have done worse. I liked the fact it was kinda gritty. We dont get much of that these days with the turtles. April was the worse part in my opinion. Shredder was pretty terrible too lol. Bebop and Rocksteady were pretty awesome tho :)
@@zenistermister9695 yeah shredder was a transformer, April was literally the embodiment of plot armor, but the actual turtles were pretty good, just for the gritty ness and bepop and rocksteady were pretty cool
@@zenistermister9695 the movie was good wasn’t bad my only problem with it was the fact the ninja turtles teenage were so goddamn huge they were giant buff incredible hulks huge humungas turtles so dang huge god I just hate it man don’t get me started about there shells Ralph’s shell was so big and strong it threw a truck in the air these dudes were straight up henchmen of the hulk dude

I always felt like this movie is a bit underrated. Yeah the story is as generic as you can get. But that sequel sounds really interesting with Mikey joing the foot!

Unless they have everyone else and/or everything else, including the majority and/or the entirety of the rights that TMNT 2007 has and if another Animation Studio takes on the project, then that can't happen again. Imagi Animation Studios closed and shut down not long ago nor after they created and made TMNT 2007. As much as I would love to see them return and also would be happy to see that happen, as things stands, that can't happen again.
This is one of my favourite turtle’s instalments because of the great cinematography, and the interesting alternate storyline. But I think it kinda works as a solo film, thought I would love to see another of these

I missed seeing this movie in the cinemas, however I bought it on DVD as soon as I could. This movie along with the 2003 cartoon made me a born again Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. I quickly bought many of the action figures and the video game tie as well. I think that before 2007 was over I must have watched this movie five times. This was defiantly a better movie than Ninja Turtles III was and it was worth the wait. I really wish that we had gotten the squeals instead of the live action movies, I really would love to see the City At War storyline adapted in a film. Also seeing the Utroms and Tricriratons (spelling ?) in a movie would be awesome.
Nolan North especially did a great job as Raphael. I feel really privileged that I got to meet him and get his autograph at Fan Expo Boston in 2017. Like Josh Pais in the 1990 movie and Gregory Abbey in the 2003 cartoon he really captured Raph as the tough loner of the group.

I think it's pretty safe to say they have explain how this all ties in Envy 2012 series and the 2007 series they showed how there is a Multiverse of sorts were all of the TMNT alternate universes connect

yeah you see the 90s Shredder helmet on the shelf then just below it you see the time scepter from the third movie.
Have you watched this movie with the commentary on? He goes more in depth about the movie and it’s designs. While the story wasn’t amazing, there was so much love put into this film! And I love how he gave them all small individual things about them to make them different from each other. Different plastrons, different and not hideous head shapes, and even different walks!
This was the first thing I saw in the cinemas. I was about 6 years old and a huge fan of the 2003 cartoon and I loved it! I had some of the action figures too,even as a kid I wondered if Shredder was being built up for a sequel.
Say what you will about this film but it’s the last time I was honestly excited about a TMNT film.

I think they could do a direct to Blue-Ray/dvd animated movie, much in the veins of the upcoming Batman vs TMNT.

This was the movie that got me really interested in TMNT since I never paid any attention to it when the early 2000s series were out, but I fell in love. I would be ecstatic if they somehow wrapped it up, especially if they followed what was planned. It really makes me wish that they continued it.

This movie means so much for me, this movie and raimi's spider-man trilogy not only made me a fan of those characters but 2007 TMNT has been a huge reason why I want to study movies and become a film director. Without Monroe's work with the turtles I would have never picked up a camera and made shortfilms or write short scripts, I owe a lot to this movie. So yeah I want resolution
The lair looks the second lair from the 2003 series and also the fact that Raphael become the Nightwatcher, Which would also fit in with the superheroes from the 2003. I think it is a great film, they took ideas from the films and the 2003 series.
its because it dindt have shredder like people expected, instead we got a story more like a tv episode rather then what should of been a movie. sad really because this is probaly my favourtie tmnt movie, it looks great, the animation is nice, the turtles look good, plus leo and raph fight is so awesome.
Replaying the 2007 game now on my emulator. It was a pretty good movie, thought the universe was pretty cool. Would have loved to see more of it.
My kids and I were really looking forward for the sequel on this movie. Even to date we still talk about it. My boys are now 17 and 13.
I actually went and watched this after hearing you talk about it and yeah it’s pretty good! Not to mention its got some radical music! My only complaint is that Donatello barely did or said anything lol but other than that, I really enjoyed it. Lol splinter had terrible parenting tho lol but that’s not new lol

This is my favorite Ninja Turtles movie actually
this movie is part 4, they show the broken tcri canister from secret of the ooze, as well as the shredder helmets from the original story ark, in fact the narration at the beginning references the original trilogy. this is a followup/reboot of the 90s movies.
If you rewatch the 2007 film you'll see the time travel staff from live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 movie on the shelf under Shredders' helmet.
Super enjoyable film! No complaints.
One thing that made me thought that this one was the future of the 2003 because the Shredder in the beginning looks really like the 2003 more than the old one

I actually love this movie. My second favorite aftor the 90 original. It took a few times of watching it but it grew on me. I hope a good turtle movie or show will be released again one day. The franchise deserves it.

You should've talked about the time traveling lantern from tmnt 3 at the bottom of the trophy case
There should be a sequel to this. It's already set up for it.
I'd welcome that actually. To have several tmnt properties outside of the comics and games would be dope.
1. animated series aimed and young children (like nickeldeon's shows)
2. PG13 animated motion pictures that are slightly more mature and adapting the comics more. Not saying I want tons of swearing and murder, ala the original Mirage comics, the way the PG13 DC animated movies have (you see plenty of gunshot wounds in those and plenty decapitations and blood), but allow for some censored implied deaths, like a silhouette shot with a line of red or black before showing a body on the ground....with a scream. ...kinda of like those old samurai and ninja movies were two or more warriors are shadowed against a wall or silhouetted through the paper walls (which shows some blood splatter on) (its honestly one of my favorite martial arts movie tropes that I dont see used that much anymore)
3. quality live action films....fuck off Michael Bay
It's a shame TMNT '07 doesn't get as much love. I enjoy it, still, and would've liked to have seen more, from that world.
I definitely enjoyed it and wish they had continued it. It was a nice movie that didn't try to go back and recreate the origin story.
I think i read something few years ago that the studio that did this movies closed down. Now it would be nice to see sequels but at the same time i would like them to be in these animations just bcos they look awesome

I loved this movie. I'd dig a sequel or something. Doesn't have to be CG animated. Just appreciated that it didn't feel like all the others we have now.
I saw this movie when I was 4 and that started my love for the franchise. Both me and my dad (who introduced me to the franchise) don't know why they didn't make a sequel to this, they got the closest out of all the versions of the turtles ! But I still am in love the turtles because I can relate to all of them in one way or another
It would have been nice to see Donnie and Mikey get focus in the movies for the change (or take center stage for ones in general)
This movie is so underrated! I wasn't a fan of the villians, but overall it was a pretty decent flim with good cocie acting and character design . I'm hoping they will continue the story sometime in the future. This movie was the pre 2012 version
