Laith, thank you so much for playing Invictus - love seeing the mod get a moment in the sun. These videos are bringing player numbers up so please keep at it!
@@beanboi9156 Agreed. The I:R warfare system is definitely my favourite of the PDX games I've played. The missions very much depending on who you're playing.

Lazarus, you should look into invictus with Invictus extended timeline. It supposedly adds the Christian revolution. It's pretty neet and makes Mega Campaigns more smooth.
You should play Syracuse next. They were also pretty important in the ancient world, competing at times with Athens and Sparta for the spot of greatest greek polis, but have been mostly forgotten.
The most fun one can have with a friend is for one to play Agathokles as Syracuse, and the other friend to play Pyrrhus as Epirus. Ally together and go crazy in Southern Italy and Greece. Their mission trees also synergise well, it’s a hell of a lot of fun! 🔥👌
I just finished my dissertation on the Greco-Punic Wars and yeah Agathocles was a nutter: Loses to Carthage at the battle of Himera River Raises a new army, avoids the Carthaginian fleet and lands in Africa Burns his own ships so his men cannot run away Wins the battle of white Tunis Calls on Greek allies from cyrenaica and pillages North Africa with them When they’re about to leave he ambushes them, kills the leadership and conscripts the men into his army Leaves his sons in command of the army, who slowly lose ground Returns to Africa, and after deciding the situation is hopeless decides to leave His men discover this and arrest him His men decide he is the only chance of victory against the approaching carthaginians and release him He buggers off back to Syracuse leaving his army and his sons to the carthaginians Refuses to elaborate
Hey man, I just wanted to say thanks for not giving up on this game. Its personally my third most played paradox games at almost 400 hours, and I just want to say that it truly made my day when I saw that you started playing it.
Imperator Rome has so much potential as a game and a lot of the mechanics seem pretty cool. Glad to see our favourite tunisian bin burner refusing to let it die.
Love the continued support for I:R! Finally getting in to EU4 thanks to you, Ludi and Red Hawk and my time playing I:R is what helped me get my head around the system.
Nice content, as always. Firstly - holdings is not position in government or governorship. Its singular province, that can be given. You can do that through clicking on province or through character interaction "Grant holding" Also you can sort out your trade in trade window in the left, you can enable autotrade for exports (you will auto agree) and in nation overview you can enable automatic imports for provinces, if you want. (amphora icon) As always great video, i really want more Imperator Rome here, its such a shame this game was left after what pdx did to improve it. It REALLY has potential.
Hell yeah, another Imperator vid from Laith. And it is Carthage too, everything was leading to this very moment! Can't wait for the part 2, that's quite the cliff hanger you ended on here. Roma Delenda Est!
I really love and appreciate your dedication to Imperator, it's great to see youtubers covering it again with Invictus. Kush is personally one of my favorite tags in the game and they have a unique mission tree with some cool mechanics and rewards; you should check them out.
I played those Massaesylia guys next to you one time. I turned them into a migratory tribe and moved to the Rhine river. I like them because they can do naval slave raids iirc even though those raids suck. It was pretty dumb.
I think Imperator rome is an interesting game in both concept and time period. Which is why I want to get into it myself and am thankful that you are refusing to let it die, Lazarus. Thank you.
seriously brings such a smile to my face seeing you play this game more. i CANT wait for more videos, haven't even finished watching yet, but I know it'll be great thanks for making content on this game, it means so so much to the community
the levies map mode is extreemly useful try it out for part 2,it shows you what regions have their levies raised and you can click on a province in the region and all of the regions levies are raised on that province.also i would suggest putting on conversion and assimilation edicts,if everyone is your religion they are loyal(this is the reason everyone is rebelling, they are wrong religion you have to convert its a core mechanic) and if they are your culture you can raise more levies, example:is if you just conqured a region with 200 pops in it and they are all wrong culture you can raise 2k levies but if you assimilate them or intigrate their culture you can raise 20k levies in that region.
Ive been binging all your imperator videos lately cause Ive been getting back into this game so its great to see another one! You gotta try playing syracuse sometime its a really fun play through
Good damn I'll be honest I check your channel once in a while but damn some videos like this one are so good. You earned a sub And if you look for some other Carthage-like experience I can suggest you one hoi 4 mod to try, tad a bit wierd...it's Equestria at War, a total conversion mod set in the world of talking horses that every young girl and too many old dudes liked to watch, set in the perioid of industralization and mixing magic with technology, imagine Anbennar but with horses and griffs. Overall the mod is one of the most developed mods on hoi 4 workshop, with over 100+ unique focus trees and original soundtrack. As for the country I wanted to suggest is Colthage (there's a lot of horse puns), which is in general mix of Ancient Carthage and Civil War Mexico, with a great number of paths to choose from. If you have guts and enough willpower to survive the cringe then it might be a real treat for you.
No idea you were Tunisian. You have a very British accent. Thanks a lot for your video guide, it really helped prepare for my first playthrough which I am doing now.
Damn nice growth! Next episode looks juicy as you have low manpower and the rebellions don't seem like they will stop but you might be able to contain Rome to Italy if you have a better navy atleast.
Awesome video mate. Glad to watch a compadre play with Carthage. Would love to watch some rome2 total war content with Carthage! Saha ya bro. Keep going 🇹🇳
It's such a gem of a game tbh. It has its annoying parts, sure (looking at you wars), but the flavour (in the parts that are fleshed out), the world, the armies and for me most of all, that beautiful map - is all top tier
Last video i saw of Imperator Rome plus it being on a nice sale made me get the game i feel like i already got my moneys worth. Thanks for bringing this game to my attention.
Could you maybe do the wars of the diadochi next? I find thrace kinda fun tbh. The diadochi wars are also one of the only examples if not THE only example of the grand conquest wars where you can take over an entire nation in one war.
I had a carthage game once, conquered north Africa and south iberia, became best buds with rome, and then proceeded to fight egypt and the seleucids for a few centuries. I basicslly became rome but with the capital in carthage
