@@arkadiuszrenc1498 Alright, first of all if you're expanding far enough that you have none of your accepted pops close enough that you can easily just shuffle some slaves over, you should probably accept more cultures, preferably the largest of each culture group. At the very least this gives you access to more military traditions.
Second, set up a colony in a culture you do not intend to give citizenship close to where the de-populated province is. This will move primary culture pops to a province that culture controls, as well as give assimilation and migration buffs, which means you can easily re-populate the province.
Also make sure to have a vegetable surplus in your capital, it makes shuffling slaves around a lot cheaper.

When you are playing a tribe, your research ratio actually doesn't matter too much until you get 100% centralisation (it will be low whatever you do). What matters is special traits that your researchers have. If the researcher has a Scholar (and some others) trait, the event which gives free innovation can (and will) fire. These traits show up conveniently when you choose a researcher; ideally you want to fire the guys with these traits from other offices, capture them in wars, befriend them from another countries etc.

Regarding the depopulation: I've seen others answer, but here is a slightly more in-depth version:
When a province is sieged by a hostile army, a number of pops have a chance to die or be enslaved. This is partially random chance, but is also based on the besieging country's enslavement efficiency. There is a cooldown on this effect to prevent rapid depopulation. However, complete depopulation can still occur in frequently-besieged, low-population provinces. Tribal countries are particularly prone due to their low population density.
Note: pops are not killed or enslaved by zone of control changes.

PDX should never have abandoned it, as it is an unwritten contract we have with them that we forgive their sometimes shoddy releases if they keep improving the game after. I’m more mad about this than the state of Vic 3, because at least they are improving that game still.

This is especially show by CK3 (a game I love). I see a lot of CK/CK2 players complaining about it because it doesn’t have 10000 DLC yet, whereas it clearly has more potential than release CK/CK2

I like observing the ai while watching RUclips. And I think the lack of aggression comes from war exhaustion. Rome will have 6000 pop and be in a war with a 3 pop tribe. But they will raise every levie available and take a year moving troops to the border. Meanwhile war exhaustion just keeps going up.

Laith, please make a somewhat non-beginner's guide to this game... I find it really difficult to figure out and after a few hours all my empires start falling apart

@@Walesball1214 This. You either need to convert people to your religion and culture or go through the process of giving them rights.
However, consider what you're doing beforehand. I just started playing again after three years as Parnia and more or less screwed myself out of playing Parthia since I didn't take the event to fight the Selucids because I got out of a tough war and didn't want to die. Now that I got Parthia, though, because they lost their satrapy status, it would be suicide to switch because now I have over a 1000+ Dahae pops and like less than 200 Parthian pops.

21:52 - Switch to offering peace rather than demanding peace. It will remove the 10 warscore requirement, which would have let you white peace here.

Imperator Rome deserves far more attention than Victoria III. The main issues it has was it's terrible launch and lack of features, which could have been fixed.

Bro, you should've played as Redonia, where Asterix and Obelix are from (atleast the closest i could find on the map). Also, could you do a Dodekaschoinos run? I tried a few years ago but didn't finish

Can you do a restoration of native Egypt? Oust the Ptolemy's and restore a native pharaoh to the throne? I don't even know if that's possible, I've never seen anyone cover this subject.

Hey Laith, just a small correction. For the Romans, Britain WAS indeed an island whose whole existance was uncertain. But the Gauls actually knew the island fairly well, as they had many trade routes going into and out of Britain. In fact, it was during the conquest of northern Gaul that Caesar learned of Britain's existance and decided he was going to embark and attempt to "take" the mythical island it for Rome (he failed rather spectacularly during the first time around). So, it isn't that far fetched to say that a Druidic holy site was in fact located there.

Briytania was part of the gaul empire, as well as parts of Iberia. They definitely knew it existed. The Roman's did not, however
