No Jehovah's Witness I've ever met worships C T Russell... they know who he is but that's as far as it goes. I was brought up in it. My grandfather became one in the 1950's. I'm in my 40's and I've never met or heard of any Witness revering C T Russell or any Governing Body member.
We have pictures of family and friends up in our homes right? We might even have pictures of celebrities but we don't worship them/give them undue attention...
In contrast Jesus is worshipped/perceived as God. If he is not God then he comes between God and us....that is what idolatry is. Anything or anyone that comes between ourself and God...

Not only that but there is no evidence of what Jesus actually looked like...so how could a picture of him be produced...?

Watchtower Org not only discourages members from outside research, but they will discipline you, but also direct the whole congregation, including your family, to SHUN YOU! High rates of depression and frequent suicide results.
Because that's the only way they can control their parishioners.

Be very selective and careful about which JWs you feel sorry for.
A lot of them , are well aware of what they are being taught is not true and are purposely resistant to acknowledging those facts or to even have a respectful and open minded discussion with any Ex-JW or Non-JW. They love being both egotistical and controlling of others(Us vs Them Thinking and Superiority Complexes). It's a "Badge Of Honour" to these ones. They don't care about or seek out Actual Truth.
These JWs; are Narcissistic and are incapable of Empathy or Self Reflection or True Human Connection.
They will never change nor think rationally, ever.
Some JWs though, are Empaths. These ones deserve your pity and compassion.
They are the ones that will be open to evidence backed discussions and will listen to reason and will do open minded independent research.
They are JWs(sadly), because they seek out Truth and Happiness(not to be found within a Cult. Not from Watchtower Org) for All.
They aren't Self Serving or Self Absorbed.

To confirm all of this, the book "Crises Of Conscience" by Raymond Franz goes into detail about these events. Raymond Franz was a JW for over 40 years and was a Governing Body member for 10 years. His uncle, Fred Franz, was a Watchtower President. Raymond Franz also wrote "In Search Of Christian Freedom." He resigned from the Watchtower and later was disfellowshipped.

Back in 1975, I was a 10 yr old, born in Jehovah Witness. When Armageddon didn't happen, roughly 1 million Jehovah Witnesses left the cult, yes, I said cult, it's not a religion. Boggles my mind, that there are roughly 8 million rank and file brainwashed JWs around the globe, as of 2022.
Its kinda crazy to think that after a couple schisms, there are still off-shoot groups that directly follow the writings of CT Russell.
there is a new offshoot group, albeit sparse, that follows an exjw youtuber named Robert King who fancies himself a prophet “like Jeremiah” (he claims). He teaches Watchtower 2.0. He has about 200 followers. The guy is a total crackpot.
One of Charles Russell's quotes was new light doesn't extinguish old light they certainly don't follow that now😂😂😂 they blend in together.😂

I Googled "are Jehovah witnesses a secret society?" and this is what led me to this RUclips channel. My sis and her family have been in the cult for about 30+ years. Somewhere in my archived files I have a scan from one of the Finished Mystery books. It goes into detail on how the measurements of the Great Pyramid of Giza comes to 1914.
They didn’t get that date from the Great Pyramid. They got it from the chronology of the Bible and thought it was CONFIRMED in the Pyramid.

I have challenged JWs on this issue so many times. How did Jesus communicate to their Org that He chose them? How did they find out? I never got a straight answer.
There are some things you can add to this. Russell thought God lived in the Pleiades star cluster.
There is also the issue of remeasuring the pyramid to come up with a new date. The previous measurement was off by 40". 1914 is 40 years after 1874.
I used to keep copies of all these things at a table by my door for easy access when the JWs came calling. They haven't been by in years except a couple of times to invite me to their annual ceremony around Passover. Covid kept them away but they stopped coming before that.
Jesus is the HEAD of the Christian congregation. GOD's spirit guides his people to know that they are anointed and GOD communicates via his Word the Bible now with guidance from the holy spirit

As someone who grew up in the Jehovah’s Witness religion, and even found it very hard this year to let go of their teachings I found your videos I thank you so much for what you’re doing, but I do want to know why is it that you make most videos on Jehovah witnesses have they done something to you or your family and is that why make multiple videos on them?
My wife was a Witness when we met. I started studying the religion, spent all my time for years. She eventually left, found the true Christ, and now I want to help others do the same.

There's two. One is with Russel, the other is with Franz many decades later where he said that God was the editor of the Watch Tower.

Lloyd does a good job dealing with the logically failings of the witnesses. He fails when he attacks the Bible, not just because he attacks it, but his arguments are really terrible. He doesn't realize it, but he still believes many JW doctrines.

I have criticised some ex JWs in the past for believing that JWs are the only true false religion (if you know what I mean…) but I don’t think Lloyd does. Some think. Christianity IS JWs so if you prove JWs wrong then you’ve proven Christianity wrong. Which is obviously garbage. But I don’t think Lloyd does this - he always says that he doesn’t have a horse in the race.
@@Flashheartwoof Lloyd recently did a video on 30 Bible contradictions. In one case, he said the Bible is wrong, because in one point is says death pays for your sin, the other it doesn’t. Problem, Lloyd is reading Romans 6, as a JW, out of context, then claiming a biblical error. Only JW’s use that verse as proof as death paying for one’s own sin, though the Bible clearly doesn’t teach this. One example of many where their interpretation is still in the back or Lloyd’s head.

Putting your trust in His work is not ALL that is required. Repentance - true repentance (a remorse for and turning from one’s sin) is also required. “Repent, for the kingdom is at hand.”

Jesus didn’t found his church the “The Rock” that was Peter. He founded his church upon the “the rock” that God had revealed to him. That “rock”, was that Jesus was the messiah, the Son of the living God. As far as needing a church, many first century Christians met in each others homes because they didn’t have church’s that they could attend. They had Bible studies.
Individuals who follow Jesus Christ, accurately, as written in the Holy Bible, are righteous. It's a pattern of behaviour induced by Almighty God. Individuals can be Jehovah's Witnesses...Roman Catholic...Protestants...Muslims...Jews...anyone in fact who follows the Ten Commandments. Those who follow unrighteousness whether in these churches or not need to repent quickly because Wormwood won't listen to excuses...and it's headed this way.

History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, not only did they not agree but their list of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century, just 75 years AFTER the council of Nicaea which began the Trinitarian docrtine, and then with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved these scriptures by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?

Bible tells us there is one God. John 1:1 says the word was with God and was God. Quite clear that. In the Greek linear there is no 'a' . If Jesus (the word) was a god then there would be 2 Gods. Also, Jesus said pray to the Father like he did. He never prayed to Jehovah.

And Luke 2:52 also reveals a serous problem for those who believe Jesus is GOD.

Does Isaiah 9:6 Say Jesus is mighty God?
When it comes to Isaiah 9:6, the Greek Septuagint that JESUS and the APOSTLES quoted from does NOT contain the phrase everlasting father or mighty god.
PLEASE NOTE WHAT THE SEPTUAGINT SAYS AND WHAT IT DOES NOT SAY!

The Greek Old Testament the Septuagint that Christ quoted from reveals what Isaiah 9:6 most likely originally said.
It was translated by 70-72 Jewish scholars around 300-200 BC and hence came from the most ancient and reliable manuscripts available.
The Hebrew Old Testament however was established by the Massoretes in the 6th century AD. It is known that many textual corruptions and additions crept into the Hebrew text between the 6th and 7th centuries.
So where did this additional text in Isaiah 9:6 come from that was not even translated correctly by most modern translators?
The one thing that no one can deny is that only one of these translations can be correct.
So which one?
The Septuagint that came from the oldest manuscripts. Or the later that has known corruptions that crept in between the 6th and 7th centuries.
