I have an AirDog lift pump and Fuelab fuel pressure regulator on my 6.0 which I have set at 62psi and I'm just curious how much fuel pressure is TOO much? I've read that anything over 100psi can damage the injectors and between 60-70psi is the sweet spot. With my setup psi stays a constant 62 even under heavy WOT and just curious what your opinion is on max fuel pressure? Thanks and great content as always boss 👍
@@AutomedicGarage where can i find that obd2 reader you use? the one you had in the link on another video says currently unavailable .i need one for forscan so i can do actual values while running my truck
Probably best person knows this answer. Did a 4x4 % on my 03 60. Put in a manual locking hub. Trying to find the manual shifter for transfer case linkage. I've been scouring all over trying to find an aftermarket kit or another truck that has it I cannot seem to locate one. Do you know if the 73 or the 64 might have interchangeable ones or if there's an aftermarket company that makes that part?
@@Andrew-ju4be I’m assuming you mean you did a 4x4 conversion and have a manual transfer case and your looking for the transfer case shifter linkage and shifter?
I have a question, I have a 2003 6.0 powerstroke and I have a hot no start. I’m assuming it’s an oil pressure leak underneath the valve covers. However I’ve read on online forums that the 2003 6.0’s do not have dummy plugs and stand pipes, but I’ve also read on those same forums that they do have stand pipes and dummy plugs. So which one is correct? If they do not have stand pipes and dummy plugs what else could be leaking air besides my injectors? Thanks in advance!
@@nicholasfletcher4550 03s have a standpipe but no dummy plugs. The standpipe is a better design than the later style standpipes. You also have a round early style pump known to get weak and give you the same symptoms towards the end of its life. Don’t guess at the leak. Air test it. I’ve also had IPRs malfunction when hot. This is why diagnosing is important, to save you time and money.
@ Okay, thank you for the advice and information I appreciate it and your videos are awesome for people trying to do their own repairs! And im assuming I need a decent sized air compressor for the air test?
@@AutomedicGarage alright I’ll give it a shot, I took it to a shop and they said it was the hpop and was trying to charge me $9400 for a handful of random things besides the oil pressure system and it seemed sketchy, so i figured I’ll try it out myself. I appreciate the help brother, keep up the vids!
I added the fuel cap link. The gauge is a fuel pressure gauge I’ve had for forever and the hose I had custome made 7 ft long for testing at a hydraulic hose shop I use.
@@98fishingfool sounds like your hfcm is getting weak or you have a restriction somewhere. Ford says 45 is minimum but I like to stay as far away from it as possible. It’s the life of your injectors.
@ I have the fuel sending unit issue where it will randomly kick out but no 1/4 tank issue, looking to do 205/30’s soon, should I save up for a Fass or replace the current HFCM

Love your videos brother!!!! Learned quite a bit from you and from Mr Diesel Tech Ron may he R.I.P.
Excellent fuel system step by step diagnostic for 6.0 owners. Thank you.
YOU ALWAYS TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO "SOLVE" THE PROBLEM.....AND NOT JUST THROW PARTS AT THE TRUCK.....GOOD JOB.....GOOD VIDEO.....
Excellent video sir 👍😁
Excellent job !
We appreciate the tutorials.
Great Job 👍
