- After an 8-year-old girl was abducted in plain sight while she walked with her mom, police worked through the night to save her and bring her home safely. Salem Sabatka and her mother were walking through their Texas neighborhood around 6:30 p.m. Saturday when a man allegedly drove up and pulled Salem into his car, police said. Her mother fought valiantly to save her, jumping on the car to try to get her daughter back. But the distraught mother was left screaming in the street for help. #InsideEdition

I remember watching the body cam video of this. Absolutely heartbreaking to me. They found him naked, she was also undressed and hiding under clothes in a bin, with blood on the bed. Just knowing what was happening in that room before the police showed up absolutely enrages me.
I saw the body cam footage on tictok. She was reassuring the officer that was carrying her out of the building that she was ok. Completely heartbreaking!
I just watch it for the first time and im so sick to my stomach rn that poor little girl. I hope she is recovering well 🙏

I absolutely HATE the way social media has completely obliterated any privacy for children. No need for this girl's story to be public viewing. Everything about this should be private - her identity, her picture, the gruesome rescue scene. This girl has no say in her worst nightmare being public. I long for the days when a child was not property or a money-making entertainment piece disturbed parents who refuse to grow up use for their own benefit. I would do everything in my power to shield my child from this type of horrific publicity. Today it's just another example of our descent into desensitized and dehumanized entertainment with no contact with reality.

The fact that the pastor was out into the early hours of the morning looking for the perps car is amazing. He saved her from the abuse continuing and probably from eventually being murdered or trafficked.
